ShortcutToMoncton
Turns out it’s actually a 173 Contra. I guess it’s called the ASMO version? 11.5 sidecut blend and 195mm waist. Thought about going a little wider but mp26 feet don’t strictly need it. I’m more or less Bruce’s size so he just made it fairly stiff for whatever he would use. I don’t know his weird formula on the side but looks like it says “6.7+9”…? Was nice to see Bruce again and get his take on how these new shapes are designed to work. Corey
Call? Bruce is a one-man show, emails can get missed. And, his info@coiler email can't receive messages from my Yahoo email. (I know, who uses Yahoo mail?) Another option was that you emailed him so much that he's annoyed at you. Don't do that.

I hadn't really checked anywhere else for a number before (nothing on website) but quick search yielded one. I'll do that. It could definitely be the latter situation, hopefully I can remedy. Been using hotmail and he replied initially so I don't think it's that. First number I found wasn't correct, but got ahold of his wife(?) and she'll pass the message on. She mentioned she test rode a Contra the other day for the first time and raved about it Edited March 1, 2022 by slabber

It's the most floggable, grippy freecarve board we've done so far. Approach it like an all-mountain race board combo; charges hard through anything, no plate needed. The front binding area can take a lot of pressure, so weight shift is rewarded more than first gen shape. Carve it down hill early with pressure at the front binding then roll back to centered before the bottom of the turn, shift angulation and repeat, all the way down. Got a lot of time on mine. I should write a review. 6.7+9 is same flex as my prototype. I'm 175-180lbs and that is plenty stiff to push it as hard as you like in anything where the front foot can gouge out a trench.

Cool board, but doesn’t it get heavy with all that superfluous material on the nose and tail? Wink face.

Sounds awesome. I’m really looking forward to Saturday morning. I think Bruce was mentioning you then. He showed me the Contra core profile and the difference compared to my older VSR board, and some of the Contra design and tweaks that have happened. Pretty cool stuff to actually see. 1 hour ago, Carvin' Marvin said: Cool board, but doesn’t it get heavy with all that superfluous material on the nose and tail? Wink face. I mean look, you can take all those hard uncomfortable right angles…whatever floats your boat, there’s no judgement here. I’ll be over here in the corner with some beautiful curves… Edited March 2, 2022 by ShortcutToMoncton

Finally an honest review. If it was the 80's, this board would be an IROC Z, not with the 305, but with the 350 and 3.27 rear and a t-top for cruising the strip at Seaside before heading to Baby O's to see Twisted Sister...

Popular Post Jack M
Version 2 of the @Winterstick Squaretail Plus 170 has arrived - stiffer this time for my lardass, with double the carbon! Titanal and rubber too of course. 21cm waist. Also about 1m longer sidecut, 10-13-12m. Ghost plate - extra torsional reinforcement between the feet. V1 had this too and it worked great.
