I think I might need one of these for the steep and deep in Jackson and to lay down some tight trenches on a groomer or two…mostly in my dreams! Wouldn’t this be a good board for someone trying to emulate some of the Asian carvers in “Softboot Carving Worth Watching?”
Ladia
As Mammoth is closing next weekend this reply still belongs to this topic 21-22 season. After several weeks to learn snowboarding all over again,I got idea got shorter and a bit wider board and try it still this season. I finished my chemo a couple weeks ago and went thru 3rd surgery on my eye last Thursday. So now I want try new toy Nidecker Spectre 157. The board is 22 cm wide. I am running shallower angles to help me with right” blind” side. It looks like decent all mountain board. I got regular one, they also makes carbon version. Going down chair 23 or just jump into Climax would be rather ambitious, but I am so anxious just hit the slopes one more times this season. Let see how the board will work. It looks nice.
Jarcode
@Ladia I'm interested to see what you think of the 157N Spectre. Seems like a good all-mountain hardboot stick.
BlueB
Patrick has a 167. It's a slightly wider version and continuation of my beloved Proto series.

You’re a real inspiration, Ladia! I was feeling sorry for myself because a skier slammed into me causing a class 2 sprain of my Medial Colateral Ligament which will be fully healed by next season. I wish for you a full health recovery and some great turns on your new board!
