@O.othey're the most comfy boot with the best heel hold that I've used (between Deeluxe, UPZ and Mountain Slope). They are perfect for carving and I'm sure all here would agree. 🙂

I liked them so much, I got a softer pair for my all mountain ride.

IMHO, race carving is really hardcore slarving and quite different from free carving and different equipment may apply

It depends on the course and conditions.  I would say generally the rider who wins is usually the one who carved the most and slarved/skidded the least.  Ledecka carved so much in these Olympics, I love her style.  (I think she did last time too, I can't remember off the top of my head)

They are my favorite boot.  However a perfectly kitted and fitted pair of UPZs or Deeluxes can be just as good.  The issue is that UPZs and Deeluxes need a lot of aftermarket parts and maybe stretching to be as good as Mountain Slopes are out of the box, in my experience.  And I could never get the same heel hold in T700s.

Yes, I should have said that my experience is subjective to me and my foot. Good point, a perfectly fitted boot for a particular foot is a perfectly fitted boot.

To me its all about heel hold. I have a really low volume foot, and I was never able to get UPZ or Deeluxe/ Raichle to hold my foot securely without crushing it, either with buckle pressure, fit foam, board mods or all of the above. In MS I get much better heel hold without the need to crush my foot. No amount of liner work got me even close before. Note: I've run these with mid volume Scarpa liners and currently with the SBC wraps.

If UPZ were as good of a fit, I'd have not spent the extra $$. But they have paid for themselves everytime I've worn them.

My wonderful wife was the one that pointed out it looked like I had another space in the rack. While I have a pretty solid selection, it's not really a hoard, per se. I like to cycle stuff out while it still has lots of life and then move on to the new (to me) hotness, usually a couple of years after it's actually new. But this one came in the wrapper!

The first. I have a titanal "Colorado Edition", so it will be interesting to see how they compare.

I'm a bit off my game this season, so this one might be my new board for next year.

Bring that hypercarbon on Sunday and I'll back to back to back test with both my titanal 183s. 😈

Indeed. I need to get some wax on it and set the bevels. You can ride it if you teach me how to ride it.

I'm game. Same as I've been saying since you started riding with us, sack up and tilt it up on edge.

Are you coming up Sunday? Be good to have you back out since you haven't made it much this season.
