Popular Post Surf Quebec
The Result Coiler Energy 174 0.4 Titanal hand delivered by Bruce at Quebec Carving session yesterday. Did not had the chance to ride it yet as I got injured . Incredible topsheet made By Nicolas (Technik) Under Coiler, 3e planète à partir du soleil means: Made on the third planet from the sun Taken from this Tintin comic Edited January 15, 2017 by Surf Quebec

kipstar
Also on the Coiler vibe, inspired by TV Show Red Dwarf and sitting alongside my Stubby (called Red Dwarf) is the Coiler AM 172 Starbug, made wider (22.5cm), inserts moved back, a fair bit of taper and with a slightly bigger nose for Hokkaido powder, NZ slush, and riding less than ideal conditions while still being fun on the groomers. So far, ridden in knee deep powder and chopped up powder it rides like a dream, even makes moguls fun again!
crote123
Fedex delivered my new JJSB Clear 162 (well topsheet says 162 but it's really a 163 with a 20cm waist). 14 days turnaround including delivery (would have been 12 if not for the weekend) I already have a ClearZ 162 but wanted something a little more forgiving with a softer flex. Sidecut is about 10m which is good where I ride. Topsheet is JJSB basic but with orange print. I already have a plate for it (originally purchased with the ClearZ). We'll see how I like it better; with or without a plate... Sidecut is 9/11/10 Edited January 16, 2017 by crote123 added sidecut

McKarver
I picked up a K2 Carve Air 149, and tried it out this weekend. The binding setup is Union Atlas, 35/15, with Maysis boots. The conditions: packed powder. I had a ton of fun, it carves and holds an edge pretty good for a fat board. 261 mm waist.
svr
My new custom Donek Flux 182. Specs: Length: 182cm Nose: 32cm Waist: 26cm Tail: 30cm Effective edge: 158cm Sidecut: 11-13m vsr Carbonium topsheet Working with Sean @Donek was awesome and very easy. The entire process of selecting specs and feedback on the production process was very impressive. I am sure the other custom builders who provide to the Bomber crowd do amazing work as well, but I can now say from firsthand experience that I would strongly recommend anyone looking to build and spec out their own board to contact Sean. My Flux 182 went from phone call to my door in just 9 working days. cheers and thanks, sandy Edited January 28, 2017 by svr

svr
Lordmetroland, I will keep you in mind if I ever consider that. This has the same effective edge as a Tanker 200, so should be a fun ride. cheers, sandy Edited January 28, 2017 by svr

That's because it's an alpine design with a sb waist and nothing in the pic for scale. A 21.5 cm waisted board with the same proportions would be a 150.

STP
Sean and Jenifer came thru and sent the boards to me on a ski vacation! My third 185 Freecarve (carbon with yellow racing stripes) and a 185 Hazlewood (mahogany big boy) for powder days. Riding the rails with with brand new sharp edges is unbelievable!

Corey
That racing stripe is so hot. I'll shamelessly do a variant of that on a future board.
RoroSnow
Absolutely killing FC racing stripe !....Wow !....Now it would deserve a close-up picture for a nice weave/stripe combo....
boardguru
Wishing I could post a picture of my new Coiler Nirvana with Bacon top sheet that arrived via UPS. But the driver was concerned with some damage to the shipping box. We both checked out the holes in the box and there were various gouges , one at least 6 inches long and pretty deep in the top sheet. Was told he would take it back to the UPS center and they would get back with me. Major downer!

boardguru
Thanks, it's on the Coiler site in graphics. But that is a nice one also. Emailed Bruce and he said he can probably fix it. Just waiting to hear from UPS to see if they have sent it back to him.
