  1. Interesting to see Terje endorse it. Also interesting to see Terje using Now O-drives since he is no longer with the big B. The combination of the plate and skatetech seems counter productive to me but I am not an engineer so might be pretty effective.
  2. Just an observation, but I find it interesting that Jeremy (and a few other pros) often reference stance angles that are not possible with current Softboot models…i.e. he says he is running 35* on his front foot which is not possible as his Jones/Now bindings work in three degree increments so it has to be 33 or 36.

    Yo Lci!!

No ride report? Heard there were a lot of ski race teams there over the weekend.
  6. @rjnakata Not mine but here are a set https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2454375438036447/
  7. JayseyJayAnderson, Virus, Bomber by Gumbo, and Kessler still make them. I have a set of the Apex Gecko Stealths, two pairs of Donek Risers, and a pair of the JayseyJay risers. I actually like the feel of the JJAs the best as the Gecko’s and the Donek’s feel like they isolate me too much and I want risers not isolation plates. I love the Bombers for the cant and lift but hate the weight. hope that helps
  8. Thanks @Jack M. Love the quality that Winterstick is producing and I rode a TB172 once as well, so thought a longer one would be tons of fun
  9. I did not get to ride them, but I got to see and try the Supermatic’s at a shop and it is a neat concept…but heavy and a lot of parts, so it will be interesting to see how they stack up after a year of use/abuse in all types of snow conditions. the build is very beefy and probably over built for most riders (except you Lance as I know how hard you are on gear ). For now I will stick with my Ion/StepOn X and my Driver X/Union Atlas Pro setups as they both have pluses and minuses. cheers sandy
  10. Those are G-style speed plates. Japanese carve company https://item.rakuten.co.jp/auc-breakout/speedplate-r/
  11. Prices? specifically on the MADD SBX Boardercross 168 ?
  12. I have used quite a few different brands (poc, dainese, fox, Troy Lee design) and just recently got a new set from Xion and am really liking their stuff as it is super low profile and fits great. Customer service was awesome and product comes direct via DHL. https://www.xionpg.com/

    Yo Lci!!

Have a great weekend crew, I will make some turns at Hoch-yBrig (Switzerland ) tomorrow and then Stuben (Austria ) next weekend.
  16. Yes, Fawcett rocks a StepOn most of the time these days unless he is riding something else for a review. My $.02 on the StepOn setup is that I have been riding the Ion StepOn boots with StepOn X bindings for all conditions and I actually liked the setup with a couple items that bothered me: 1. No canting 2. Limited forward lean adjustment 3. ReFlex base flexes too much and does not have a lot of micro adjustments for stance (limited to 2cm increments on 4x4/4x2 insert boards) 4. Boots (wish there was a driver X version) After 46 days on the setup with my Tanker 201 and Tanker 186 I had a boot failure that has made me go back to a regular strap setup. I agree with @scottishsurferon the feeling of my foot feeling connected directly to the board and toe-heel response was amazing, however the movement and flex in the ReFlex base combination with how fast the boots became super soft even after replacing the stock Burton liners with Intuition SBC Wraps just made the setup too flexy (especially laterally) for my taste. I am now back on Union Atlas Pro’s with Driver X boots and am happier with this setups performance. The StepOn setup is almost there, but just not quite for me. There will be a stiffer disc for the StepOn X for next year, but the other issues still apply for me but I might give them another try if they address some of the limitations in the current boots offered. cheers, sandy
  17. A couple questions for you before you lean towards a 201…how big are your feet? I ask because if you have feet bigger than 11 you would need to go with the 186 or 176 as they are the wides…also where do you ride? If you are in Colorado, I can arrange to get you a board to demo. But for more elaborate details, the Tankers are freeride decks that also carve very well. The best description is to think of a longboard surfboard…you can make fun and mellow turns on low angle terrain where short boards get stuck and if you are feeling aggressive and want to ride big terrain at Mach speeds, the extra length helps provide a stable ride. Another surf analogy is that if you want to ride Nazare, Jaws or Mavericks, you break out a big gun for the big waves. hope that helps. cheers, sandy

    Me either, sorry
  19. @ShortcutToMoncton if you are looking for non-Flow straps…check here: https://www.fixmybinding.com/collections/ankle-straps

    Yo Lci!!

Welcome Justin @J49 As @inkaholicmentioned, most of the LCI crew will be in Montana for the Montucky event, but we are usually at Loveland every Sunday. Look forward to meeting and riding with you. cheers, sandy
  21. Bring your own bindings….please…. as I will not have any for the Tanker demos I am bringing.
  22. @Neil Gendzwilli like my StepOn setup…here is something new coming from Nidecker for next year…evolution of Flow technology: http://www.zuzupopo.com/xe/index.php?mid=catalog&search_target=tag&search_keyword=Snowboards&category=255480&document_srl=255650 Also gotta love the new Flow NX2-CX footbed for next year…a massive improvement over the squishy one.
  23. Yes, I tried them and @inkaholicyour memory of our conversation is spot on. interesting concept but I would use Flow’s or Burton StepOn over the Clew system. Both ride and walking are very stiff and clunky.
