That's an amazing story and talent! A new career would be in order, maybe?

I could never do anything artistic for a job because im way to slow and i dont want to get burnt out again or hate it's pretty much the same reason ive never wanted to be a snowboard instructor. I enjoy my current job alot anyway 🙂

Not in the same league at all as Scottishsurfer, but I did use my monocrome printer to make a label to cover up the previous owners name on my top sheet.  And the top sheet was a custom for that previous owner.

Nothing special on it, it is fun. It somehow personalized you board. On the other hand it can also make your board difficult to sell. No everybody has the same taste. Angry was only board I did not sell and I did not even bother with fully custom built Virus. Maybe I was hoping I will ride it again, but not sure. Too “big” board for my current condition.

Let me join the the party. My daughter design the graphic and I manage to put things together.

Snowboard graphic is a bit tricky because one should consider the location of insert and binding which will cover some part of the graphic while riding, as well the sidecut. Each graphic takes about a month of my spare time to do it.

The rainbow/people is the 1st board. The rabbit/watermelon didn't build. The black & white is the latest one which has arrived last Friday. Take some time to post it on board porn.🤩

Probably one of the best I have seen.  The Original Madd and follow up boards were done by children

On the other hand, one good thing about "difficult to sell" is that no one will bother to steal your lovely board. Thief only target for those big names, Kessler, Oxess, SG, F2.

I would argue that Gregory's Donek Flux has the best base graphic EVER! Quite possibly the best snowboard graphic of any kind. The Silver Surfer. Sean at Donek uses a graphic artist to assist with these graphics. This is entirely white on black p-tex.

Wow! So that's white ptex and black ptex, laser-cut and assembled like a giant puzzle?  And here I was all impressed with the inlay on my Kessler.

It would be clever to order a board with custom topsheet graphics, and include a little statement near the bindings (since one tends to go through the bindings with a cable lock) to the effect of “Custom board and topsheet. Steal it, and you will be caught.” It may or may not work as a preventative defense, but if it is stolen it’ll still be easy to find by sending photos to pawnshops and searching ebay.

Good idea!

I didn't carry a cable lock because my boards are always with me, including toilet time. And I don't eat lunch at all. 8 hours straight! If I am very hungry, I will find a restaurant in the middle of the mountain and put my board within my eyesight. I guess it would be difficult for a thief to steal an alpine board not wearing a pair of hard boots.

I guess the only way to steal my board is to break into my hotel room 🙂 .
