  1. Last thing I care about. My set up. 1 Stand width and position on board. 2 Front foot angle. As I am using Bomber since it came on market I found when the bail straight section is parallel with the edge in spot where front binding is mounted it works the best for me. 3 Back foot angle. 4 Minimum over hang. 5 Boots will not be centered for sure.
  2. And there is always Mammoth
  3. Snow at Kirkwood yesterday. Absolutely perfect.
  4. I always like to hose empty slopes on ALL published videos. Just wonder how you guys do it? I probably can count on fingers of one hand how many times I experienced something like that.
  5. Insanity. Idiots are everywhere. Wish you speedy recovery. Luckily no brain trauma. You have some witnesses if it will be somehow useful in Switzerland. In my case nobody saw anything.
  6. I can’t do in this weather as I pretty much don’t see at any except sunny conditions so two weeks ago I got hit again at Kirkwood idiot just flew out of woods. I saw him in last moment and hit him with both fists as much as I could in chest to push him aside. I still fell but except to be sore for several days I survived. People are absolutely insane. This weekend another stormy weather so I will not even try to drive there, but on the other hand no idiot on ski will hit me. Not to good winter for me this season
  7. Very interesting topic and sentence above is extremely important. About 12 years ago I had my big toe on my left ( front) foot fused . ( put 2 screws in and make joint solid). I can’t put. Any pressure on it now as it was a little bit lifted during surgery to make walking easier. Since that time my toe side became horrible. I tried many boot fitters but no success, they just try to sell you new insoles but they have no really clue what to do. One guy actually admitted it. I have box of useless insoles. During cancer treatment gout started at right big toe. Bad one. I recently bought older UPZ 26.5 size and pain on right big toe is bad so I bought another older pair 27.0 to get some extra room. I am just waiting for delivery to try them. I probably will have to used two different sizes before I will make a final decision what size new boots will be. I was at 26.5 over 30 years. That big toe transfer about 40% of force if I remember correctly. Treat it with respect your turns depend on big guy.
  8. Nothing special, just standard production Kessler. I need any help on toe side. Shorter board : 157,checked smaller starting SR: 7 m clothoid on start, checked Metal board : checked Now just some nice weather on the hills to try it. Not all boards I have are working for me now on toe side with my new disability.
  9. There are still a couple of us around Tahoe. I am usually at Kirkwood. North Start is too crowded for my taste on weekends.
  10. Thanks for answer. I completely forgot Heavenly zoo on weekends. One of the reason I go there maybe once in winter. If I will make it I will go to Nevada side, but most likely I stay with Kirkwood.
  11. Who will be this weekend 3/16-17 at Heavenly and what run do you ride the most. Maybe I can stop instead of Kirkwood.
  12. I vote for castration, but in my accident I was almost killed on empty slope on Friday by 70 years old skier, so castration would be useless in this case. Absolutely nothing happened to him I just hope Vid took care about him if there is any justice on the world.
  13. I liked SES. You can try a bunch of board and get what really worked for you. For several years now I got board base on reading this forum or just go for it. I can’t say this method works for me well. Last week I bought old Kessler 157 with damage on base. The shape and length work perfect for my permanent physical limitations, so I bought new one on e bay. So to spend 200 on old one I consider we’ll spend money.
  14. Good old days. I remember on my Lacroix Nidafly I had binding set up at about 15”. You had to actually drill the holes. No inserts. The board had metal plate inside. You pretty much had one shot where to put it. Over weekend I started experimenting with narrowing stand again. My stand is narrow to compare most of you guys anyway, but I must go narrower as wider stand putting unpleasant stretch on my stoma bag on belly. Pretty much I had to change everything, stand, board, boots. That’s goal for the rest of season, find the most comfortable way how to continue. Maybe I am closing the circle.
  15. It is getting worse and I have been sliding hills over 55 years. One must be on constant watch who is above you.
  16. Barry, that is a minimum. With my new physical limitation I am fighting with everything. I need post separate topic and pick up hopefully some brains. I am now done after lunch. It will take probably rest of season to get somehow closer to normal and you have much better chance.
  17. These boards are more than 20 years old. I remember Granite Chief at Squaw Valley sold them for season or two.
  18. Barry just take it easy. Let’s hope for long season like last year. I was doing Mammoth at July. I am going back to work on Tuesday. I need medical insurance, but I will see if it will not work I will go to retirement and will pay for it from my pocket.
  19. It took me a while and I used hammer also. Second boot was easier. But I don’t have a magic trick. There is Drupi’s video about installation.
  20. 5 months after my big surgery and 5 weeks after I finished full blown chemo, last CT scan was Ok next one in July, I hit the slopes. First day only 3 hours next 4 and yesterday 5. Yes I have new big limitations, but still kicking on this side of the dirt. The picture was taken on the top of Sentinel Bowl at Kirkwood
  21. Standard, 55/50/ 20cm board simply say.
  22. Same here. I bought recently old RCR. That tongue was so hard, just to get in the boot was nightmare. I installed DGSS and bought new soft one hinge tongue and I can’t believe the results. The boots are now absolutely perfect
  23. I just hope. That will be my last week of disability. After almost 5 months I will have to start to work again. I just need to do it for medical benefits. Looking today’s web cameras from resorts it is pretty bad. Especially visibility must be horrible and bunch of upper lifts were not running at all.
