I had a 4WD Audi TT which was built for it, but I was too busy working to take advantage of that. I guess a 185 would just about fit, although this one only fits in tail-first as the taper means the nose is too wide for a standard ski-hatch. Still no snow in East Anglia. I can do Aviemore in 4 hours on a good run. Also I suspect you are running petrol so I'll be a bit more economical. I am using tractor juice(white not red). The black and white deck is the one I have been riding for the past two seasons with a shiny new coat of paint, Virus did a little bit of maintenance work on it for me to resolve a small small delam. I wasn't expecting it but Frank refinished the board on top of it, and it looks brand spanking new now! I'm totally psyched! It looks brand spanking new! Can't say enough great things about Virus's customer service - I am so completely psyched. The other board is the 186 UPM Worldcup deck. It's definitely burlier than the 183 that I've been riding, so I'm excited to see how it rides. The 183 is incredible on ice and hardpack, but a tad soft for softer snow conditions. I suspect I'll end up riding the 183 when it is icy, and the UPM when it is soft. It'll be fun to see how they compare with one another! Can't wait to ride!!!! I'm planning on trying out plates, but my guess is: I'm not going to want to ride with one. I'm sure that I will be impressed with the performance at speed with a plate—but I'd like to keep my equipment as simple as possible and I don't want to sacrifice low speed maneuverability (though that may be a moot point on the 186, it's burly and it's got what appears to be a wicked long SCR). It might be too wide for you board but i'll keep you updated about that after installingand testing it on mine with same width.
