  1. Been a while… riders 2023-24 Jones Stratos 161, Ride WarPig XL, Coiler BX contra 161, Lib Tech Retro Rocket 166, and the big undertaker 198
  2. I have a Lacroix skwal for sale in the classifieds if you are still looking.
  3. Just finishing my first season on step-on. Yesterday I hit the red tail jump on birds of prey at beaver creek and got 50-60 feet of air. (I am about 240lbs). If they didn’t blow up on that jump, they aren’t going to fail on anything that 98% of riders are going to do on a normal day. Step-ons are the real deal, and the most responsive interface I’ve had since I left hardboots…
  4. Just wanna leave this here. Miss you guys. BX contra 161cm 28w 11m scr
  5. She’s running a great Cajun restaurant there. Hoping to get her up on the hill in a few weeks. Hi Corey Moved back to the mountains - finally getting some riding in. Please send snow to SW Colorado! I’m not nearly that good looking
  6. Not riding hardboots lately, but still carving. And found this stranger in Pagosa Springs over the weekend.
  7. My son starting college in Durango next year, so I have plenty of excuses to visit Purgatory and Silverton
  8. Been a while since I checked in here... thought I’d share my new softboot carver. Coiler BXFR 165, 26w, 8/10/9 sidecut im in love
  9. Based on what I saw, the company was worth every bit of that when Fin sold it. (I have been a financial analyst facilitating the buying and selling companies for over 20 years now) Mismanagement caused the value to drop. The market for these goods was relatively stable over the 3 years prior to the sale
  10. I was old when this started...now i’m legend............wait for it..................ary.
  11. If the article is true on the money flowing through BOmber, I’m glad my bid for the company wasn’t accepted. ?
  12. Thule box, and I cut up pool noodles for edge protectors. That and some cheap blankets I bought at the Mexico/Texas border crossing and no problems.
  13. The last true DH I was aware of was Iron Mountain, 1989 or 1990. Scariest race I ever did. IIRC there was a Super-G in Tahoe in the early 2000s. you want to see real insanity? Check out speed week at Vars. Those guys get up into the 95+mph range on soft boots and 120+ on hard boots
  14. For me, as long as my front foot is 3-5 degrees forward from my rear foot, I’m happy. Softboots at +10/+13 all the way to skwal +87/+90 pretty much board specific.
  15. Boardski, did I sell that to you, or did another hyarc find its way out of the basement? (I sold mine so long ago I forgot)
  16. Welcome back. Are you going to take the reins at Bomber, or just getting the forum back? Inquiring minds want to know ?
  17. Hanging up my “cranky old guy” hat for a minute. Good to see all of the people who really care. As a word of advice from someone who has a good deal of experience with corporate bankruptcies: 1) don’t order anything from this site. It doesn’t help Jim/Angie at this point, it doesn’t help Fin, and it is likely that you won’t get anything back and it will take you months to recover money (if you get anything) 2) all respect to Fin, who built a binding and a place for us all to hang out, but he has ZERO decision authority over the direction of the business at this point. Until the BK is settled, this is a ship on autopilot. Great for us if Fin takes over, but he has a couple. Of difficult decisions: does he want to get back into. This after exiting a couple of years ago? And does the financial model make sense post-BK? Markets change, and knowing what I know about niche sporting goods and the overhead and liabilities of the binding business (anyone remember the lawsuit from a few years ago?) I wouldn’t be surprised to see everyone walk away
  18. If this works out, I’d be down to try one of your BX shapes in March
  19. You pipe up now after 13 years and 170 posts? Yeah... I’m the one with the problem. You have nothing invested in this community.
  20. Wow. I guess this is where I get banned, but a couple of your are just straight up jerks. Blame the VOLUNTEER mods for your problems with ordering? You really think Corey/Bryan etc are going to hurt you to help Bomber steal your money? Go look in a mirror.
  21. Maybe it's because I'm fat [emoji41] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. Incline is a damper board. Steep water gets a lot of chatter at high speed. Both are 1000x better than old supermodels (assuming you're talking about the 174/181 versions, not the newer short ones) I have owned and ridden all of the above. My current ride is a steepwater, mostly because it was the economical choice. If I had a spare $1k I would be riding a custom incline. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Stomp pads are lame [emoji12] The danger of clicking in on the lift is that the back foot hardboot can get caught between the chair and the ramp on offload. I learned the hard way how much that sucks. I agree with most of what Bryan said. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. If I was local I'd take those 215s for long board day... But they aren't really worth the cost of shipping. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
