Just finishing my first season on step-on. Yesterday I hit the red tail jump on birds of prey at beaver creek and got 50-60 feet of air. (I am about 240lbs). If they didn’t blow up on that jump, they aren’t going to fail on anything that 98% of riders are going to do on a normal day. Step-ons are the real deal, and the most responsive interface I’ve had since I left hardboots…
She’s running a great Cajun restaurant there. Hoping to get her up on the hill in a few weeks.
Hi Corey
Moved back to the mountains - finally getting some riding in. Please send snow to SW Colorado!
I’m not nearly that good looking
Based on what I saw, the company was worth every bit of that when Fin sold it. (I have been a financial analyst facilitating the buying and selling companies for over 20 years now) Mismanagement caused the value to drop. The market for these goods was relatively stable over the 3 years prior to the sale
The last true DH I was aware of was Iron Mountain, 1989 or 1990. Scariest race I ever did.
IIRC there was a Super-G in Tahoe in the early 2000s.
you want to see real insanity? Check out speed week at Vars. Those guys get up into the 95+mph range on soft boots and 120+ on hard boots
For me, as long as my front foot is 3-5 degrees forward from my rear foot, I’m happy. Softboots at +10/+13 all the way to skwal +87/+90
pretty much board specific.
