  1. why don't you post some of your work up? i'm interested to see .. maybe others are, too *shrug*. if you want, of course.
  2. yeah but what do you eat after this workout?
  3. @scottishsurfer that's awesome man. are you an artist by occupation?
  4. Carving season is winding up soon. Wondering what people do for off-season training? Or perhaps you have something in mind or some sort of physical and/or mental health plan to prepare for next season? I didn't get a season this year, so thinking of trying to prepare for next season.
  5. I hope you took him up on that offer. I know I can't resist a good purple faux fur tail.
  6. Tribute reference gone begging......... Thought we had a connection, man.
  7. Hey @Johno212, just curious if you think this might be... the best binding in the world?
  8. Happy to post you some the next time I'm in Japan. The plan is end of the year. Either that, or 2055.
  9. Interesting. Looks good. Maybe I bought one....... Maybe I didn't.
  10. Interesting- what's the deal with this one?
  11. This is definitely a better love story than Twilight.
  12. ... And the rest of what I wrote.
  13. Regardless who is in front, if you're travelling at warp speed and your carves are taking up the entire width of the run with 0 awareness like a psycho maniac, it's just irresponsible, risk seeking behaviour. Hard to know much from that angle, but it might even look like the run is banked in the middle and the skier can't even see that snowboarder as he/she is turning toward her. From that small clip, I reckon regardless whoever is technically at fault, the blame is on the snowboarder. It's not 'normal' (to non-alpine riders) what the snowboarder is doing, not everyone is looking out for people swinging from the far trees into their line from 15m away at 100km/h.
  14. This thread is making me thirsty!

They have a narrow toebox. The shells definitely won't stretch. The liner will fit better over time, though. I don't have particularly wide feet, but no amount of shell punching could make my old Deeluxe fit my foot around the toe area. Combined with my low volume foot and narrow heel, it was the combo from hell.
  16. Well that all depends on how old you are...

Honestly only because of comfort. Zipfit are the comfiest liners I've used. Don't get me wrong, the Palau are actually great. In my humble opinion, this model is the best thermo liner available. The Zipfit cost 3-4 times as much as the Palau. Annoying since I've only used them for 2 days I think but whatever, I'll keep them as a backup or something.

Freeriding in hardboots? Sure! I made mine to be forgiving for variable terrain. These work for me: UPZ RC10 DGSS spring system Intermediate Booster strap Intec heel Some buckles replaced (the ones that rubbed on this model) Palau liners-prob gonna replace these with zipfit for next season
  19. Damn. Yeah, you're right, I gotta get rid of those terrible boards!
  20. I heard this board is supposed to be good. Might have to try one one day.......
  21. Ha, kind of got presented with an opportunity with work and I took it and as a result locked myself away. That and cartilage damage to my left knee basically made me retire from all sport- couldn't walk for a few months. But I wouldn't have been snowboarding anyway. Don't worry I'm back to share more photos of my carefully manicured fingernails. I mean we're just talking hypotheticals here... IF an order were to already be placed it would be an SXR174/12.5m, medium flex and extra dampening 'stuff'. Basically something that allows the most safety and predictability for my knee- doesn't turn too much to hurt it but doesn't go too fast to .. hurt it haha. We based it off my requirements for the knee, my strength levels, height, weight and skill (or lack of) level. Initially we were thinking an RS164 (see @WinterGold is a bad influence..), but ultimately we decided to go less intense. I'm a convert to Oxess these days, nothing against other boards, it's just personal preference. In saying that, @WinterGold was extremely helpful in sharing his experience and knowledge with me to help me choose the board. Marcel, as always, was really helpful and as usual @slapos wasn't helpful at all. I can't wait to get it and not ride it... But first and foremost how about that @WinterGold video! Congrats.
  22. Nothing beats speaking directly to Marcel to determine your needs and then *poof* magic happens and the perfect board arrives at your door. Or it arrives at customs who then charge you more money and THEN it arrives at your door. Maybe I have done just that recently... Hmmmmmm I believe that is available now, just looking at the Oxess technical brief now and the 5 colours are named: Pink, Black, White, Grey, Acid Lime Alienfrog Ultrabright Green Theoretically if I were to order a new Oxess, I would get black logo on black topsheet. Theoretically.
  23. Is this the what are you listening to today thread?
