Sizing up always ends in disaster I reckon. 2 shell sizes up is pretty much guaranteed to not work imo.

I use them with zipfits which I never used with any other boot, so perhaps the comfort I feel in them is from that. Deeluxe don't fit my foot. UPZ felt reasonably good, but 951 for me is most comfy by miles. All day comfort and no heel lift. So comfy, in fact, I'm buying a second pair.

Well .. at any price really. For me, anyway. I'd take it if there wasn't something out of my control preventing me.

Have you tried on deeluxe and upz (and mountain slope)? You might find one is perfect and the other is a slightly worse form of the devil depending on your type of feet. I've been through that pain, I wish I knew that there was such a difference in the way the boots fit before I bought any and went through a few years of pain.

Tell me more about this chode of a board you have planned. I may want/need something similar!

@hknz Well, actually, given your assumed weight and your riding style, nope that doesn't surprise me!! Afaik, it is normal for those who ride EC style to want/need greater spring travel with less spring compressive force. Have you considered trying to find a pair of NW .900, the less stiff version of the .950?

I think it is saying... Manufacturers specify the amount of setback the board was designed to be ridden more or less centred/balanced. If you set your bindings, let's say arbitrarily 4cm to the nose, of this designated setback, then you will constantly feel like you need to shift your weight towards the tail 4cm to compensate and to make the board ride the way it was designed to be ridden.
