  1. @Tddragon how was your first day out?
  2. I've always been a big supporter of Thor Gloves and I'm asking for a pair for Christmas. Looking forward to the mitten design changes.
  3. I sent a board to Australia late last year and it was around $130, USPS if I recall correctly.
  4. @b.free when did Frank release this sweet thing? Looks amazing! Also, you have it out in early season conditions at Abasin? How is shangri-la looking this year? @softbootsurfer I am anxiously awaiting the pictures of the lines this board will be producing.
  5. A friend of mine just got his brand new board delivered via UPS today. Signal Disruptor 2021 148cm. https://signalsnowboards.com/collections/all/products/disruptor-2021 I have seen a lot of the Every Third Thursday videos that Signal put out and have followed them as a board company. I was anxious to see what kind of board was going to show up for my friend. The board came in a nicely designed box that very much resembled a box for florescent lighting tubes. This I am certain helps aid in safe shipping, genius. The box was night and day in better condition than a board box I had recently delivered via FedEx. The board comes with a nice protective sleeve and is also shrink wrapped. Build quality looked super good and the colors and graphics on the board are bold and vibrant. Hand flexing of the board seems like it will be very playful.
  6. You can often find bulk Toko wax on eBay @ great prices.
  7. With special permission from Thias Balmain himself to upload this video which is of better quality. Enjoy!
  8. @west carven possibly. I had to sit and watch the movie while it was converted and it looked ok. I never downloaded the online one to compare. I will find out later today and report back.
  9. @Dan So I am digitizing it right now and as I am waiting for the PC to finish processing I did a quick search and found that it's already available online. http://www.skwalzone.org/videos.php Halfway down the page it should be there.
  10. “You could say snowboarding is like church to me, like church is what it is for other people. It’s your soul [that picks how you go down a mountain] and it always feels good. When a human being can be creative, that’s really when anything is possible.” - Nicolas Müller 'The Art of Flight'
  11. @dredman based off the feedback I will definitely have boards available. @monodude will be bringing the 175 and I will also send out a 165 for people to demo. I wish I could be out there with you guys and lead a demo/instruction but I don't think it's in the cards this year. @svr thanks for offer to house the boards next to yours, I really appreciate that! Thank you to everybody who responded!
  12. From what I gathered from the last Clear CUT nobody got on the demo board I sent out. Even the guy that won it in the raffle wanted nothing to do with it. There seems to be little, if any, interest in the one that is listed in the classifieds right now either. I certainly understand that this forum is alpine snowboard specific and that Skwals might be the black sheep of the carving arts. I also recognize that my company is not one of the bigger board producers that people are looking to ride or may even be aware of. That all being said, if people have interest in getting on a Skwal and want to have one available to try something new and discover the dark side of carving then I will send one out. If there is no interest then I will probably not be sending one out this year, especially given the way the demo area will be operating this year due to COVID. Please leave your thoughts here so I can gauge interest. Your feedback is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
  13. Politics? There are bigger issues. #1 Is the earth round or flat?
  14. I pulled the trigger on a northeast midweek epic pass. I have a bunch of work friends who like to ride at Mount Snow so I will probably be there a bunch this season.
  15. I was hoping these might fly under the radar as this is one of the very few eBay alpine listings I could pickup.
  16. @philw Where did you ride? How was the snow sliding experience indoors?
  17. Sometimes these boards pop up on ebay.de maybe it's worth a look over there?
  18. Would you consider trading it for an Ace Skwal?
  19. This isn't a Pogo rich environment. There are a few floating around in members quivers but I wouldn't bank on one finding it's way to you.
  20. I came across this company on Instagram. Board has a mechanism to fully adjust the camber. Has anyone heard of this company before? Looks pretty trick. https://www.proteussnowboards.com/
  21. Seems like it's worth what they asking. https://www.ebay.com/itm/174194419826
  22. I am a big fan of self teaching. You don't need a teacher or coach if you already know the concepts or snow sliding and carving. Get out there and experiment. Buy a cheap setup and get after it. My first alpine setup when getting back into hardboots was $200 for an old Burton PJ6 and rear entry ski boots. Fake it until you make it!
