Popular Post Soultrencher
Hi All! So pumped to have found this site. I've been an alpine rider since the late 90's but have felt like the only one left for many years. I average several days to the mountain a season and am lucky to see another hardbooter once every few seasons. Recently as I've gotten older (time to be an adult), I've come to realize that I don't need to put up with 25 yr old gear any more so I started looking around. I found the carver's almanac website, some facebook groups and the Montucky Clear Cut event. My stoke has been reignited! Just upgraded boots from my old packed out Nordicas to some almost new Deeluxe and boy have things come along way. Next will be some step-in bindings as I start to get myself back into better shape and ready for Montucky 2020. Glad to be here and share my eclectic taste with other like minded riders! 12

You aren't getting any younger and non of us are getting off this planet alive. Nice pics by the way and quit waving at the camera were too cool to do that!

That's about right for the Seattle area resorts. Looks like you're a Stevens local. I spend most of my time at Snoqualmie or Crystal. It may feel like it, but you are not alone.

Plus my wife gets a discount on lift tickets through her work. Pics are under the Silver Fir chair at "Ski Acres" ;). I'm not excited about the lack of parking at Stevens and potentially having to go home. Edited January 29, 2019 by Soultrencher
TVR
Welcome... Now move to New England so as we can see some of those pretty trenches in person.... But seriously, great to have you man, and I am sure we all will see you on a slope somewhere.

Or go big and get a custom new ride! Thirst (Mark), Donek(Sean) and Coiler(Bruce) are exceptional builders in North America. Call them up tell them what kind of riding you are currently doing and hoping to do, they will build you your dream ride! None of those builders have dissatisfied customers.

pow4ever
Welcome to the anti-social social club Sometime we might not be talking on the chair lift(be it cold, language barrier) but the carve that we shared allowed us to communicated in a different plane. BTW I am extreme dissatisfied with Donek/Coiler... The board they make are so good that it make the summer months feel like torture!

Silver Fir is my default starting point at Snoqualmie. We'll have to make some turns together.

I've been eyeing those customs, but they aren't in the budget right now. For now I'll keep drooling. Hopefully at the next Clear CUT I can figure out a way to demo or borrow some other peoples boards to see what I might like.
dredman
Thirst and Coiler are bringing/sending demos for sure. Still waiting to confirm a few other companies!
