  1. What size they fit? If a us11 is doable I’ll take em’
  2. They tend to be loooooong, no intec, people don’t know what they are. i like the weight of AT boots and I REALLY like the vibram on the bottoms!
  3. Correct, allegedly they are the best thing to happen to split boarding since the voile split kits.
  4. What did it end up costing? Do you like it?
  5. Did he complain about someone having a plate? allegedly he’s the one responsible for the plate ban in BX. Didn’t like the Palm riding a plate and beating him.
  6. The base looks a little raised.. That thin or pushed in? If pushed in, sometimes can be pushed back, screwed or pinned, epoxied and ptexed. Failure can happen after but if an edge ding is let alone the base either peels off, water gets in and board delams or the edge zippers out. Usually a combination of those things. If it were wider I’d take it BTW, that’s one heck of a rock board!
  7. Ohh shit, Jack, wanna trade boards for a couple runs sometime? That thing have wood sidewalls? I’ve been a skeptic of that idea.... no matter how well they work I wonder if they put up with moisture over time.
  8. Would of thought the one on left is p-Tex! is that just the camera playing tricks?
  9. Pretty much The guy can do no wrong as far as I’m concerned
  10. Thought secret construction was metal just not titanal?
  11. Be careful of chiros BTW, lot of snake oil with those folks mileage varies more than it does with doctors. It’s not really a science based thing. A lot of them are anti vaccine for example, also some push homeopathy. Not a doctor but sounds like something in your setup has to be way the hell off. My hardboots are quite literally the least painful footwear for anything I do I’ve ever had. Superfeet may not be the problem but I’d bet they aren’t helping. But if they actually work, run with it. You have thermo liners? They can be molded again, or replaced if they’re done. a sloppy boot can do a number on feet/ankles. thick socks, they eff me up, only thing I can wear are liner socks. This isn’t applicable to everyone but for me they either bunch up or take up too much room in the toes, end up cramped and cold. Not sure how much of that is helpful but had a lot of issues over the years. Just got softboots worked out with $350 liners..... wish there was another option there!
  12. I have a ride timeless 162, it’s not boardercross specific but it’s a pretty good starting point as it blows away most everything from the other mainstream companies. the thing is it’s pretty wide, size 10 boot is ideal for that board. It’s new, in plastic. It’s also listed in the for sale section. Metal construction which is a plus when racing.
  13. It carves pretty well, just really tight. Yes, is of vintage before the rocker craze.
  14. Yeah, so what I don’t like about these things are, like the grocer and doughboy, the sidecut is tighter than say a tanker of comparable size. What I like better than the older grocers and doughboys is the nose floats the board better. Old libs had that steep up turn, terrible. Its not heavy at all, gonna say lighter than the veneer topped grocer but don’t have one to weigh. My bathroom scale says 7.8
  15. In the case of the inserts Kessler uses, yes guessing everyone uses steel......

    Catek FR2s

So, somehow I misplaced the second board kit that went with these. So in order to use them you’d need a second board kit or some other cateks that you could steal from. i have nidecker straps and carbon backs on these but I also have the original plastic backs for them too. these also are have the second version of the heel hoop connector doodad that doesn’t break. Thinking $150 shipped.
  17. It’s about a decade old, nice board 262 wide. Basically comparable to a lib tech grocer. $100 plus shipping(50ish to most of CONUS), should you be able to hit sugarloaf or Sunday River on a Sunday or Monday I can absolutely bring it over there and save you the shipping.
  18. I have a ride timeless, this is the 162, still in plastic and nice and wide. It’s a metal construction softboot deck! $420 shipped CONUS takes it. These boards ride very well. This thing is 267 wide, 11 meter sidecut. They do like speed. Metal construction does lend a nice feel. On these boards you can really hammer out turns on them then go ride pow and not miss a beat, they really did a great job building something that truly performs. I’d keep this but I have a new coiler BX. If you have any issues I’m happy to handle warranty for you!
  19. Yeah, let’s hope that’s the case. It’s not that unlikely. What’s scary about that is a situation where it delays work on dealing with carbon emissions. Even if there isn’t a climate change issue burning oil, coal and even biomass isn’t sustainable long term and bad for human health. We’d be better off figuring out other uses for that carbon for the long haul being that they are finite resources.
  20. Yeah, I’ve gotten stuff from him and he’s certainly outspoken but I’ve never really had a bad interaction with the guy. I’ve asked him numerous questions, he’s told me where to look to get things that he didn’t have. He’s actually similar in personality to a lot of the old timer retailers and industry people you meet in other niche sports. If you’re a fly tyer or fly fisherman and have ever had the pleasure of doing business with Charlie Collins or the guy that runs the anglers roost you will get Bola a little more. Basically, someone who is dedicated to what he does, loves it, highly opinionated and would rather just not deal with someone who bugs them for one reason or another. Just doesn’t mesh with some folks and that’s fine. I’m used to dealing with those guys, usually, they are the ones who are willing to import stuff and have to sit on half of it watching the value depreciate just because they are as much curators of great collections as they are retailers. What he isn’t is the type of dude like that salty peaks guy for example.
  21. 163 BXFR 27.5 wasit Sidecut 8/10/9m Adjusted to 200 lbs. The graphics he calls ghost black, friggin’ love it, my pure race has an older version of it that’s really neat can only see it in the sun.
