  1. Years ago I made the mistake of boa boots. This is why other than stiffness I haven’t really considered leaving the burton driver X. youd thing boas would have improved in the last 15 years!
  2. That’s called a coiler AMT or prior 4wd
  3. More or less, mine is wider, and symmetric sidecut.
  4. I like mine. A lot. Not sure what I’d think of a hardboot version.
  5. Jeez, I don’t know yet. Another BXFR seems nice but the stubby is getting stale to me so I don’t know!
  6. Yup, too bad too. There’s some potential over there. Was still fun as hell though. Kinda felt like top notch spring corn but faaaaaaast. I ended up on my stubby as it was colder and hardboots are easier to get on if the boots are cold. Rolled my ankle one too many times over the years. Pretty glad I left them in the car
  7. Friggin’ love mine, the tankers get less time these days.
  8. That’s because you ride flow bindings. We all think you’re in sorrels or LL Bean duck boots. truthfully though, what boots DO you wear? Pretty convinced the boot (and calf size) has a lot to do with if you like flow bindings or not.
  9. Right under King pine was interesting early on, not what I’d call super carvy but was fun as hell.
  10. Nope, just trust in the boardmaster for that one, as I alluded to in other threads he’s really good at getting it right.
  11. If you said 27 wide I’d of bought it!
  12. The boots, what do you want? Generally boots the resale is low, bindings and boards assuming they are something people want and good condition usually about 50% Really though, on the boots I wear an 11 so I might pull the trigger.
  13. Weird on the custom kesslers, heard this from multiple sources. Still, I have a hard time thinking he does anything bad. No joke, the best three second hand boards I’ve had have been Kesslers, haven’t gone custom with him so maybe there’s something there and I have no experience there. I had one builder blow it twice, won’t mention who but they seem to have mostly exited alpine at this point anyway. Bruce nails it every time though can say that!
  14. Yeah, it’s the elan plant, pretty sure that’s why sigi is there too as that’s where production was before capita was involved.
  15. Yeah, just ride more man, you better than I am right now. I also could care less about technique at this point I just want to be comfortable on an alpine setup again, will start there, the key is probably to just ride more.....
  16. Now recon, now o-drive, Jones Apollo (that’s a now odrive that’s slightly softer) ride el hefe, even some older ride bindings are fairly decent, have a set of Tomcats that job done better than most new bindings. Demoed a bunch of burton bindings they were super gushy compared to the above to me. They weren’t bad bindings but not what I want but I weigh like 280 though..... Haven’t been on the newer unions but I liked the older ones can’t imagine they’re worse. I have a set of fairly ancient drake podiums, those, like the tomcats mentioned above work pretty well but are softer than the others. I sure do like canting on softboot bindings, if that’s super important to you the Now bindings will be problematic because they offer no canting. Flow NX2s, hate em’ they work really well but I hate them. Did I mention I hate them?
  17. Yeah, there’s some serious skier talent there this week! Got passed by a gaggle of skier girls on Sunday when I though I was hot doggin’ they were insane made me realize how slow I was going.
  18. Every Sunday and Monday now that Feb is done with. Don’t think I managed to ride in feb more than sneaking in a run on my way by when heading downcountry. Trying to talk the family into riding in the AM tomorrow. I’m ususually in softboots these days so I’m harder to spot. If you see a coiler with similar dimensions to a door that’s how you find me. Other way to find me is seeing a guy on a coiler hollering to his kid to get up.
  19. Yeah, feel you there. my BXFR makes me miss hardboots WAY less than I used to. To the point where I’ve been on them enough I’m generally more comfortable in softboots now.
  20. If you end up with bale bindings, SGs are the way for me. Essentially f2s but beefy
  21. All In! Shipping to 04970
  22. Ohh, is there a plan for a TD4? I hadn’t heard that was the case
  23. Yup, I asked some obscure questions and within a day questions answered... asking for parts that usually come in an assembly and random other stuff. Looks like he’s going the Fin route and the company is in good hands.
