  1. Personally, I never liked the fuego box method unless I wanted to find out how low of an angle I can get on the board without booting out. For me (mondo 26), boot center mark has been very important for both UPZ AND MS.951 to center the boots on the bindings (boot center mark directly on the center of the binding disk) THEN set up the appropriate binding angle. Mine is not at as far of edge as possible for the front at 60/57.5 for 20cm waist. I am always afraid to loose an edge Bc of overhang (50% of the time I don’t have that much angulation but I do other 50%). Nothing worse than loosing an edge at full speed Bc of overhang at Superbee chair at Copper. But then I loose an edge due to my technique sometimes anyways (gotta minimize an error ) If I didn’t center the boots to bindings, I felt the board tends to go in the direction which I am more leaned towards on the flats (awkward feeling). That is why I am surprised to hear people don’t center boots to the bindings. But there is no right or wrong in this sports! IT IS HOW YOU LIKE IT!!! I know I got weird set ups i probably got weird leg shape. my 2 cents
  2. It is interesting that there are many different opinion on everything we do... but this is what worked for me: - I have inward cant & lift on both front and rear bindings. Rear inward cant allowed me to drive my rear knee more towards front knee which helped my riding (a lot of Japanese riders have inward cant and it has helped me with my leg structure ) - but it all comes down to the technique IMHO. Pointing the hip is one of the best way AND looking towards where you want to go (I actually look even further = helps to look behind me to make sure no straight liner comes after me with my periphery + automatically closes the hip + points the hip where it needs to be).

  4. @big mario need to announce when he does use this board to witness the maiden voyage!
  5. What in the world......that’s insane. Someone could have gotten hurt really bad.
  6. It is true that ski racer kids are one of the worst. There are a lot in CO ski area. Though there are really good ski racer kids but bad apples ruins others.... they also have no problem smashing back of your board either. @b.free always say “look back as much as you can”. It actually makes a nice turn by looking back as it forces me to pressure with rear leg but it also gets me dizzy
  7. Wait, is @big mario riding 162? I have never seen you ride shorter board!
  8. Virus Phantom Zylon 180 with 20cm waist. I guess I can say #gotinfected I always had a fascination with Virus and how people has said it is one of the best board out there but I could not pull the trigger on buying one. After seeing @b.free’s custom Virus and trying Giuseppe’s Virus phantom at Montucky (Day 2 in horrible condition). I pulled the trigger and bought it. I am glad I did. Frank was so easy to work with and the board is great (though it needs to break in more with Zylon....)
  9. If it withstand @b.free’s abuse (strong rider), height/weight then it is definitely well made.
  10. I have little over 125 days and I had no issues but I feel like longest buckle cable is about to break for rear boots (got spare ready) but who knows. I changed the rear bolt that holds the spring mechanism to lower shell with new bolt and locking washer as those were getting loose. No issues anymore. Shell has wear and tear but still in great condition!! Best boots I have owned
  11. Is the canteen at Tuner mountain open for lunch? Or should we bring our own and eat it in the parking lot? Not sure how covid restriction affects it....

I will join you all on Jan 17th for some fun!
  17. I am surprised this has not sold yet! I wish it was narrower stance.
  18. Try as much of set up as you can: lifts, inward cant, outward cant. But make sure to change 1 variable at a time. It took me years to come to my set up as well. I must have weird leg shape because I am set and loves at lift & inward cant for both front and rear binding (toe lift and heel lift respectively). I am banging on my head why I didn’t try inward cant before! And listen to your body and see what hurts and/or awkward and deduce from there. GL!
  19. Looks beautiful. What this BAMF? what year was it built?
  20. I am glad it went to someone who will ride a lot more than I will! Definitely looking good!!
