gnarfy
any change to his line of board ? I have a 2014 and I love my board, I will probably ask him for a new one next year or in two year and keep the current one for starting / ending the season... can he build one with a bit more sidecut radius, or he have his template and always start from there ? congrats on the JJSB ! big canuck
I'm certain he can do anything you want. Sounds like he got some pretty tech additions to his tooling. I have pics of my board that I'll show soon and it's WAY different than any other JJA you've ever seen before It's crazy good

big canuck
Sorry guys, been meaning to add to this. The tops sheet on the board I got from JJ shifted a hair and i wasn't sure if I should post it... He trimmed a bit of the top sheet material and it's really cool. I'm keeping it but he's going to make another one as well that I very much look forward to posting. The plate is crazy. Never seen anything like it. Can't wait to ride it Sorry my pictures suck.
SunSurfer
BC, Fascinated by where the front binding is positioned in the photos above. Was that where JJA recommended you position it? Or is there some other reason for having the front plate axle at the same point as the rear set of mounting screws for the binding?
lowrider
I'm seeing bindings forward of centre of board and front toe cantilevered over axle ??? Depends on flex of front of plate and torsional stiffness as far as diving board effect on front binding. Even if the plate is stiff there will be some effect. I'd be tempted to set the front axle up assymetrically. Nice board plate combo. Is the boarder around the tip the underlying Titinal layer or an aluminum inlay ?Without a doubt the most versatile plate available to date. If you like to tinker this is the plate to have. You guys give me WAY more credit than I deserve. I got the board from jja the way it's set up and I simply put my bindings on it. I'll probly have a look at how the plate is set up on my160 jja SL board and start from there. I don't remember how it's set up but I do know that I can be much less weight forward on that board. Maybe that's good, maybe not but I'll start there and see where it goes. The exposed tip is stainless steel I think... It's pretty shiny and my understanding is titanal is more brushed alloy looking. Of course I could be totally wrong.

www.oldsnowboards.com
Welcome back Jerry!! There is allot of great gear out there , the good news is most of it is very friendly yet high performance. Easier on our joints too! Just don't give up the Sims Burners quite yet. There are going to be those days when nothing else does the trick :)

big mario
188 Coiler monster, 13/14/15 sidecut, 23 cm waist, 16mm of taper. I was looking for a light powder/soft groomer/'tweener stick. Thanks to Angie for pointing me towards the monster, Tabby for suggesting the air freshener on my dash for the top sheet, and finally, Bruce for his generous donation and for building such a great stick! mario
