  1. So many words. I did not read. Steeper terrain means you have to finish your turn. If you don't hard enough that you start slowing down (uphill finish) you will gain speed. It's really that simple. If you are not skidding or slarving, you must change turn shape to slow. "You carve, You carve, You carve...no slide"
  2. Interested in all the Burners. Didn't see a 197 in there. You holding out on me? I'll try my old contact for you.
  3. Hey...doesn't look like I responded (maybe sent a PM) but yes I love, love, love that Supermodel. Been careful with it to not fold the nose and it has been my favorite all mountain board the last couple of years. Riding the pine this winter....13 days out from a total hip replace. Getting stronger every day. Seeing this actually reminded me of a girl that I met years ago in the lift line. Looked quite a lot like Victoria. She came up to me and said 'Can I ride with you? Every time I see you, you're covered in powder and have a big smile on your face.' I suggested it was just because I always stuffed my head in the snow, but she didn't buy it. We ended riding quite a bit together that winter. I was dating a fine lady and I don't play, but still felt good to have a goddess like creature want to hang out with you even if it's to share your pow with them.
  4. Here in SV? When are you coming?
  5. Couldn't disagree more. The right step is awesome. I had 55 days last year plus Turner for Montucky...rode soft boots one day. The rest was SI and we had a ton of snow here. Many carving days but at least 25 to 30 days of pow. Love it.
  6. Sale fell thru - sorry I forgot to update. Bad exchange rate with CDN $ and high shipping to Eastern Canada. Might be the same for you.
  7. Hey Chris as you know I've been rocking the SI for a few years now. TD3 SI Sidewinder for powder and been loving it. Not sure how the F2 does it, but it is imperative for me to get visual confirmation of both pins on the heel are engaged by looking down. I had a pair of Intec? brand heels that did not provide this line of sight visual and I quit using them because of it. Not using mine this winter if you want to try the TD3. It seems like they might be heavier and more height from the board but I love mine. Cheers buddy.
  8. From what I hear, snow conditions are somewhere between marginal and terrifying. Only one run off the top of the mountain is open right now. That doesn't mean that there won't be some good turns here or there. I am gimped up so can't report personally just the feedback I'm hearing. One run open on Warm Springs side, two on River Run side and Broadway top to bottom is the only thing on Seattle Ridge. So.....if I had not been here I would wait. At least there appears to be a change in the weather pattern the next ten days.
  9. I have a sale pending. Will post as sold once funds are received. Thx
  10. I have tried off and on for months now. Nothing. Not sure what happened there.
  11. I loved the design of these boots so much, and still do, but couldn't get them to fit. Tried wearing them in the living room and could never get past 15 minutes. Even had a custom liner fitted to them. Nothing was ground or stretched as I never rode in them, so never created a hot spot. So if you know these boots and they work for your foot shape, here you go. Purchased in 2020...but it seems to be still the current model. Anthracite Gray. Looking to get $500 plus shipping. As brand new from a retailer the cheapest I could find currently was $600. I paid over that for these. Thanks for looking. Photos will try to upload from phone.
  12. Do you have the original lock down mechanism that the BTS replaced?
  13. So let me get this straight. Those boots with BTS and Fintech are $200 plus shipping? Not even my size and thinking of getting them for BTS and heels.
  14. You are Paul. Ok, Thanks so much still love them. They are minty. Always on the hunt for a backup.
  15. Not sure how this got lost. I went to Montucky...did not mean to blow you off if so. Still interested.
  16. Damn Chris....don't do that...rode the chair with Laurie two days ago and was just asking about you. Probably around the time you were struggling to get out of your situation. With all of this super light unconsolidated snow on the north sides I have had a couple of 'interesting' times the last two weeks myself. Nothing close to yours, but that reminds of the time I did an involuntary rail slide to two crossed logs in 'Africa' (skiers left of Christins) and got hung upside down in deep pow. I had to call my wife and explain I was ok...mostly....but would not be meeting her at the Seattle Ridge chair for a while. Glad you are ok brother. I have been running the SI Sidewinder Bomber on my pow boards. You are welcome to check out or borrow anything I have for a test spin. Heavy but I have broken everything else.
  17. Sergei from the East Coast rode one exclusively I believe the whole time - and he was crushing it every time I saw him. I know Carver got on one for a couple of runs and killed it. That guy finds the edge on whatever he is on. I saw a couple of others being ridden but I don't think I got any photos of anyone on one, but I still have another 400 to download from the last day. Sorry I can't give personal feedback but those guys made it look super fun.
  18. Hey Dave.....thanks so much for the consideration. I love that Supermodel so much. It went to MCC with me and I ripped about 8 runs in Sundance(?) bowl. When I wasn't hard carving it was also my shooting board. Thanks again for the great board and I hope you keep finding the space and empty runs to enjoy that Burner. I have had six of the 197s and 5 of the 188s. No matter how careful it always seems to end in sadness but my God the rides I have had on those boards. Cheers.
  19. @b0ardski Paging Troy to the bindingless white zone room.
  20. Well….if it was too special for you, I know a carver in Idaho who love to create some room in your quiver for something else. I still love this board more than is reasonable.
  21. There was a lot of this going on. Carver (actual name) rips on whatever he is on. His Dad team carving with him in the background. New Nikon 7ii. And they say it’s not a ‘sports’ camera with up to 10 frames per second full frame 45 mp. Worked great for me.
