  1. I have had the same problem, but also that my feet are not equally in length. I just let foamed a Boot doc innerliner, problems are away. I can even cranck down my 3th buckle after warming up a few teeth.
  2. I have the new tongue UPZ 10 with fintecs, no probs.
  3. Is for the chicken legged and/or more forward lean: http://www.upz-boots.at/rcr_racequip_hb.html
  4. No Intuition here. Boot Doc comfortable foam. And for a surfy style I like my boots as soft as possible. DGSS spring system and the softest red tongues.
  5. High arch, wide forefoot. My right foot is 26.3cm, I have both a UPZ as a Deeluxe T700 27 mondo. Otherwise i can't get the middle buckle to close due to the high arch. Both custom liners (Boot Doc and Strolz). Got the .951 mondo 27, have to try them, feel good with standard liner.
  6. No need since this a newly used topsheet by Frank, scratch proof this time!
  7. Split Virus Avalanche Grand Tour. Gonna ride this with Atomic Backland Touring hardboot and hard bindings.
  8. Racers/racestyle don't rotate their upperbody, their shoulders, or their hips. The movement is only up and down from the legs and flexed ankles. Rotation style is mostly used with push and pull technique, especially with (extreme) carving. So just depends on your style you want to ride with. None of the styles have their butt out, both work with flexing the lower body and keep the upper body straight. A couple of years ago there was a topic on this here too with many technique vids.
  9. Just buy yourself a pair of warm Level gloves with inbuild wrist protection and put some sikaflex on them, just put thin layers on it and let them drying two days in between each layer. If they start to worn, just put a new layer of Sikaflex on it. Used Thor gloves: complete rubbish by hands in the snow, not water repellant at all, cold and they wear out pretty fast on glacier ice/hardpack (within three descents they were gone).

    Plates

I find the riding without a plate the riding is much more dynamic for us weekend warriors. We don't ride sticks/slaloms anyway.

  12. Early morning corduroy only, just crash these.
  13. Best ice sliding gloves/mitts I ever bought: russian ec gloves from Rey:
  14. Got these from Ben, a russian guy (flexible):
  15. Have ridden this board for about 10 days. Belag 100%, Top 98% (very little scuffs from standing at the lift) Board is from 2012, ridden for the first in 2013. Board will be transported from the Netherlands/Europe. I can get good shippingrates by parcelinternational from door tot door. Price is EUR 850.-- without shippingcosts. You can pay me by bank or paypall (paypall costs for buyer).
  16. Nice pics Pokkis! She can handle it. @Canuck Love that new board design of the JJ.
  17. You can have a little bootoverhang if you are riding plates. I do, and my carvingturns became more powerful in slalom.
  18. Nice to hear that if some one is good, the best will happen. Congrats Boris, keep hardbooting alive.
  19. Be first of the chair or the last, just pick the utmost right or left of the chair and paddle with the free foot. If you have a steeper end of the slope/chairlift, I put my free foot against my front foot and just steer/board away/turning (or not, just go straight if there is space), let the board run, nothing will happen. Practice to go straight on one leg on a flat slope first with low speed, you must be able to turn and stop on one leg: you get more feeling and boardtrust in your head. I use the Dakine spike stomp pad too. Sometimes when I am of the chairlift, I let the board run, put my back foot in the bail, clean my fin tec heel on the intecreceiver and clip in while the board is running (at a slow speed). This I only do when there is enough space and it is not crowdy.
  20. I did the Bootdoc Comfort liner, so comfy, lifetime liner for not that much.
  21. I wear bootdoc comfort foam liners in my UPZ.
