Allflex and IRON-ROCK, mysteries and things
everts72 replied to pauleleven's topic in Carving Central
Seems court decided: Rok Marguč on Facebook: In the end, the truth always wins. Allflex was lying about me in public. They should remove everything about me in 15 days. They also lied about the patent. The Slovenian court said they did not have a patent for snowboard plates. It was hardely patented plates in 2007, which we developed together in 2010. They will pay a lot because they were lying. We won today. The truth always wins. IronRock #rockyourboard -
Allflex and IRON-ROCK, mysteries and things
everts72 replied to pauleleven's topic in Carving Central
Rok was only rider with Allflex, because he and Aco developed and tested this plate from zero to this point where it is now. Later when other riders started to use Allflex had Aco and Rok some misunderstanding I would say. And now we are here.... Allflex vs Iron Rok. -
2018 Elan Balistic? OK ride feedback? anyone seen?
everts72 replied to Shred Gruumer's topic in Carving Central
Hello guys, yes I tried this new models of Ballistic (but prototypes) in different stiffness (also with Allflex). It's was really nice board, but problem was that it was only 19cm wide in the middle, so I had some problems with hanging out with my boots (deeluxe 319mm). On this specifications seems they went on 19,7cm. It can't be found on their web page because I've heard they stopped with alpine production. -

Original instructions from Palau: Dear PALAU Customer, Thank you for purchasing the thermoformable liner. We recommend that you carefully read the following instructions to use this product in the best conditions. The thermoformable PALAU liners are preformed and must be used without additional accessories. Along the time, they’ll adapt to the shape of your foot and become more comfortable with each use. Anyway, in order to achieve the best fitting, we recommend that you mold it by yourself or by a professional boot-fitter. THERMOFORMING INSTRUCTIONS For best results, follow these steps. - Use a convection oven (hot air) which has been preheated to 110 ° C. - Place in oven preheated between 5 - 8 min according to the material and thickness of the liner (1 min / mm thickness approx) until they are soft and malleable. - Make sure the shell of the boot is completely unbuckled and at ambient temperature. - Put a foot-bed under your foot and place a toecap over the toes (these caps should be used to create space in the toe box; humidified cotton wool might be ok). Finally, pull a thin sock over the prepared foot. Two different method inserting liner in the shell: Work quickly so that the foam does not cool and does not lose its molding properties. 1) Remove liner from the oven and put it in the foot. Make sure that the under foot seam is straight and that the ankle reinforcements are even. Crossing Overlap flap outer liner with internal flap. The external reinforcements material on outside. Slide the foot and the liner inside the shell with one hand at the heels to guide smoothly. Be careful not twisting or folding the liner during process (help yourself with a shoe horn or a piece of cardboard). 2) Remove liner from the oven and put it carefully into the shell. Check that there are no folds or twists and insert your foot in it. Make sure the heels are positioned at the bottom of the shoe by gently kicking the back of the shell and adjust the external and internal flaps around the shin. The flaps should pass under the plastic shell. For central tongues liners, be sure to place it in the center, and pull them up if necessary. Close the buckles about half of their ability and hold a slight flexion for 10 minutes while the liner cools. Once the liner has cooled, remove the foot and the liner of the shell, take of the socks and toes caps and place foot bed inside the liner. If folds or twisting, it can be remolded according to the instructions mentioned above. 2 times max. The liners must be removed from the shell after skiing. Dry the liners away from direct heat. Washable in cold water with mild detergent. Let dry them completely before use.

For me best thing is Liquid rubber by Bison. I also tried Sika and Shoegoo, but Liquid rubber is the best! Some guys also using Aquasure, but I didn't try it yet.

I think it's only one moutingposition. So every board for this plate is custom made. On this plate Rok Marguč won WC PSL this year in Canada.

We had Slovenian Carving Session yesterday and many people tested plates and all were satisfied with it. @Bryan: I use Vegas pro10 for editing movies. I will look if there is that function, thank you. Here is a clip without slowmotion: Friend's new MK snowboard plate on photo:

Thank you! Quality is full hd (go pro and two clips with canon eos 7d) but because of vibration I must put video on slow motion. It's true, I/we made this video because of that I could proof to snowboaring community that plates are not made only for racers, but also for freecarvers like we are. MK plates are new on market, so not well known yet. Jure Hafner riding plates in WC. Not some impressive results for now in seniors category, but he is very talented and young. He was also Junior World Champion in GS! All plates are made from high tech composite material and stiffness depends of user. MK is short for Mihej Koblar- inventor of MK plates. You have description also in Carvingmag, page 96, there are also photos. Sorry, but only facebook page for now. Web page is under construction. You could also contact Mihej on email: mk.snowboardplates at gmail.com and he will explained you everything.

Hello everbody! I tested MK SNOWBOARD PLATES and here are my thoughts: So I've been testing my new MK snowobard plate 8 days now and I must say it's big difference riding board with or without plate. I've test the plate on blue, red and black slopes, on good snow, hard snow and even on icy parts. Setup: Kessler 185 (66°,60°), f2 intec titanium, MK SNOWBOARD PLATE, deeluxe indy+bts On short: Plates gives you better stability, speed, control and balance on board. Your speed increases a lot, really a lot! Muuuch better grip in turns. Very light. On long: First feeling: wow! This is whole plate? Where is other weight? It's so light! When you mount plate on board everything is so soft, plate breathing with board. I thought that plate should be hard like rock. But seems I was wrong. First turns are little bit different if you never tried plate before. But after few runs I get used on this setup so carving with ears to the snow was not problem any more. If there are bunches problem is solved when is plate on board. So I recomend you MK plates also for freecarving, not only for racing! And proof I'm telling truth: (hd+full screen recomended :)me, with plates in black jacket
