So jealous NSSage... racing doesn't start here until Jan 3 (weather permitting).

I went with the 185 REV and I'm running with the Bomber plate so our setups are somewhat similar.

Oh wow, racing started here in November! I went with the 180 because I am really light and short so it works better for me in the gates. Nice, I have not tried the bomber plate but I am looking at buying an Apex plate

Rode with Bruce last week and he was testing a few boards - they look wicked, especially without the top sheet on. Always fun listening to him talk about the boards he is making people. The man is a total artist.

Bruce is an artist for sure his wife is a saint ! His cat is owns the place. You should visit his shop and see where the majic happens .

It's finally in my hands!

Specs:

Extreme carve, 22 waist, a little extra stiffness 'cause that's the way I like it.

I designed this spec sheet and got Bruce to add it to one of his standard topsheets. I love that detail on Donek boards, I don't need to try to remember the specs any more.

A better view of the textured topsheet Bruce now offers:

Sadly, the local ski hills are shut down for -45C to -50C wind chills. (FYI: that's -49F to -58F) Ok, I won't ride it this weekend... I'll make my first turns at NES in a few days with it!

That looks sweet Corey! The specs are nice to have on the board for sure. I ride with CaRtharsis who has a Coiler EX and he absolutely loves it. What angles are you running with your UPZ (MP27 or 28?)? Looks like you can even go more slack without any overhang. Ride on!

I've dropped the angles since that picture. Day 1 with it was a little sketchy due to that underhang, it was quite hard to skid. I think I'm around 52 degrees front and 47 rear now. The front has underhang, but my knees need at least a 5-degree spread between front and rear. I've also biased the front foot towards the toe edge and the rear foot towards the heel edge to get my toes and heels right over the edges. I did this for all my boards.

I'm liking this thing. Haven't had a chance to use it on excellent/flat groom yet, but it was really fun in soft/changing conditions with powder moguls. I was surprised as that's not at all what it was designed for! The range of turn shapes feels slightly less versatile than my NSR, but it reminds me of my old Monster. Very friendly and fun board!

It's not a alpine snowboard but it is still pretty cool. My new Prior Khyber Splitboard! It's brand new and I got a really good deal on it so I counted all the money I have been saving and bought it! Only bad thing is that I can't ride it till I get back from a trip to New York and Ontario. amu2yvu2.jpgna4udy4u.jpg

Love the graphic on this. What are you planning to use for bindings?
