  1. Mt Hood Meadows and Mt Hood Fusion (Timberline + Ski Bowl)
  2. I have a Flux 168 and a Contra 167. They are both very capable carvers that are quite at home off the groomed as well. I find the Flux to be the smoother carver, and the Contra to be grippier and more aggressive. They can both handle everything from super firm to soft groomers. I tend to favor the Coiler on steeper terrain, bad grooming, and really firm snow… and the Flux on mellower terrain, colder snow, and when I feel like taking laps through the (smaller, I’m getting old) jumps. Off groomed I find the Coiler to generally perform better… it requires less input … but the Flux has been very damage resistant (thicker core since non-metal, Durasurf base) so I choose it anytime coverage is questionable or when riding unfamiliar terrain. Hope that helps
  3. Schweitzer is on the way home for me, planning to do it
  4. Impressions after first full day on MS WC: Wow, comfortable! Never had to unbuckle. Very responsive laterally. I can throw down with less effort on my part. I did find I needed to be more mindful on softer snow to keep turns from going terminal. The flex is more "hinge-like" when compared to Deeluxe+BTS Spring adjustments have a much more profound effect than on Deeluxe+BTS. I was easily able to tweak on-hill to get to a happy fore-aft flex I'm gonna be doing some similar binding setup adjustments that @Jack M and others did - reducing or losing outward cant, reducing the angle gap between the feet, possibly reducing stance width by a hair. I might also increase stance angles a bit in general due to the lateral responsiveness Zero heel lift on one foot, very small amount on the other, should be able to eliminate with liner tweaks. I had an annoying amount of heel lift with Deeluxe. B shell has similar interior and bail-to-bail dimensions as Deeluxe 25MP shell. Maybe a couple mm longer inside the shell and a more sensibly shaped toe area. The ledge on the heel is higher than on Deeluxe - I did have to back off the shoulder bolts on the heel bails of my Sidewinders two turns to make ingress and egress smooth. I am using the Palau liners from my Deeluxes, and swapped out the MS top straps for Booster straps. Will report back after I've tweaked more and gotten used to them.
  5. @Q's - Others who have tried on both would have to answer. I definitely recommend reading this thread from the beginning, I found a lot of useful thoughts and info.
  6. I've got a pair of Mountain Slope WC on the way Can't wait to mold some liners in them!
  7. I've been trying to get in touch with All Board Sports for the past couple of weeks to buy some Mountain Slope boots - they are not responding to emails or voice messages. Anyone know what's up?
  8. Can't wait. Remind me ti bring some Deschiutes growlers and a case of wine when we get closer!
  9. Two pairs of large gloves, two pairs of large mitts, $57.60. Black Friday came early this year.
  10. If I didn't already have two of these, exact same specs, I'd snap it up. Seriously, someone is gonna be very happy with it.
  11. https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=kinco+901&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Akinco+901 XLs for $6.67. Medium for $8.73. Large for less than $20.
  12. LOVE the Roll the Bones NFCE 174! My favorite board topped with my favorite band.
  13. I switched from 700's to 425's mostly for the ankle pivot difference. Was growing to dislike the whole asymmetric flex thing. The 425's do seem stiffer and do seem to be more consistent across different temps.
  14. 2014 Audi S6, acquired used. Scary fast. Would love to tighten up the suspension some.
  15. Welcome, Walker - and thank you!!! My spare TD3/SW parts bin is in need of a refresh so I'll be keeping a close eye out (6 pairs... and I crash a lot) I look forward to seeing what you do with it going forward.
  16. I have a .3mm NFCE 174 and a .4mm NFCE 178. The rest of my Coilers are .3mm. I find the 178/.4 is grippier when I'm having an off-day, but the 174/.3 allows for more precise control when I'm on my game. If I'm on true ice the 174/.3 wins hands down. If the grooming is uneven the 178/.4 gets the nod. I hesitate to draw general conclusions about .3 vs .4 as I own only the one .4 board and have ridden only two. For me, other concerns matter more... overall, these two NFCE's are the favorites in my quiver
  17. I too am interested in buying from whatever stock needs to be liquidated.
  18. Depends on the snow, for me... firm and smooth, 40k vertical and I'm good to go the next day. Uneven and either icy or squishy and 15K vertical can do me in.
  19. My opinion: MK - I own one - amazing on hard-and-chalky-but-not-ice. Anggry - had a multi-day demo - better everywhere else. Some of the worst runs I've taken in the past few years, were on my MK on what I call "Marley snow".... (Sorry, my wife and daughter are dancers. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Performance_surface). If you can't go all-in, it's gonna punish you. But if you can go all-in, you're going to be a very happy rider. The problem with the MK on true ice is that you have to be far more skilled than I am to keep the right pressure at all times. The problem with the MK on anything softer-than-chalk is that you WILL fold the nose and be sore the next. The great think about the MK on chalk is that it is just insaley fun, responsive and energetic. The problem with the Angrry on chalk is that it's not not as rewarding as the MK. The great think aboutv the Angrry on ice is that if you ride well but imperfectly, you have a chance. The great thing about the Angrry on softer snow is that you'll live to ride another day. So, what kind of snow do YOU ride?
  20. Planning to ride all days except Friday, up until about 1pm when I need to head down into town to tend to the salt mines. I've got a few "try before you buy" boards for sale: Coiler SL 161, regular asym on the z-axis, $375 - really fun board if you've got the legs and lungs Coiler softie 168, 11.5ish sidecut, seen better days, $125 - great rock board If anyone needs Track 700's in a size 25 MP I can also hook you up.
  21. Hey Keenan - are you still planning a Bachelor session this year?
  22. I "voted" #2 because that's the main reason I visit bomberonline... but as far as snowboarding goes I'm pretty close to a 50/50 hard/soft split... mostly depending on snow and weather, but will occasionally ride opposite of what the snow might suggest when a given weather pattern settles in for an extended period of time. Last year was more soft-booting than hard with all that freshie especially in Dec/Jan when it was real powder. This season so far, almost exclusively hard boots.
