  1. I always practice what I preach. New gear early testing is a privilege as well as an obligation. ;) Happy 2015
  2. No major changes. 2013-2014 range will be pretty much the same, only small changes in details. Link to photos: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.511617852218513.1073741825.138779042835731&type=1 CHEERS match
  3. Here it is. Most changes are details. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.511617852218513.1073741825.138779042835731&type=1 CHEERS match
  4. Perhaps I should shut up but I simply can't. Way too many people are reading this superb forum. Everett, giving wrong and unproved information is at least unfair (I don't want to use some other word because you might get offended again). I guess you don't know much about board construction, about SG and about Elan. I've been to Elan factories (skis are made in Slovenia, boards in Austria) many times. I know their knowhow, process details, quality control, etc. And SG range is the top of alpine line they are making. So every single word you wrote is untrue. How many more people have to tell you TD1 and metal board are not compatible? Will another 10 will be enough? I doubt! All your efforts to blame SG of poor construction and Elan of lack of knowhow... that's discrediting of two highly reputable companies. You're trying to damage their hardly built reputation. Why? I understand your expensive board braking frustration but you should be more self-critical and less revengeful. You've mentioned to have two young kids, a job and a life, and being lucky to get to ride, train and race at all. Well I have two young kids too. I have a life too and selling boards is my job. If I sell 10 boards less because of your SG and Elan discrediting my kids might get shortened for summer holidays. Well I guess that's not your problem. It's my problem because I obviously sell wrongly constructed and poorly made boards, SG range 2011/2012 (soon 2012/2013 :D) to be more precise. I completely agree with Bordy. If you filled this warrenty claim with me too this case would be closed. I also wish you good luck finding a great setup for yourself to have fun with! CHEERS match
  5. Very precise explanation Bordy, I couldn't agree more. match
  6. I'm very sorry if I offended anyone. But watching those photos almost made me cry. Awesome board was ruined because of negligence. Using TD1 on such board is stupidity. Those two things are not compatible on long term. Period. BTW evnewsphoto is not some newbie. According to his words he's been in snowboarding for quite some time. Board was used for gate training/competing and owner was warned about possible breaking by his mates before it has happened. And now the easiest thing is to blame SG poor construction and expect SG (or Sigi himself) "will help out to avoid the negaitive press". I am (also) SG dealer. Before I sell titanal board I always "interrogate" buyer about other components he's going to use. Why? Simply to avoid such things. Using incompatible components is dangerous for the board and for the rider. Once again. I'm sorry if I offended anyone. I hope lesson was learned and we won't have to see such photos anytime soon. HAPPY SHREDDING! match
  7. Sorry dude, your board is dead. 1 down, 99 left. Hope the other boards have more responsible owners . SG Full Race Pro Team + Bomber TD1 = Deadly combination. Sorry but you could easily win the stupidity award of the year. I hope you're not counting on any warranty replacement.
  8. TLN - in snowboarding people usually don't downgrade their gear. Once they are on titanal deck they will hardly change it for something non metal. SG Full Carve is one of the rare decks where many people are going from metal (back) to glass. To be honest SG Full Carve riding characteristics are much more alike metal boards than old shape glass boards. BTW my favorite board is Full Carve 170. CHEERS, match
  9. As always SG boards are better looking in person than pictures. Cheers, Match
  10. 1st Sigi, 2nd Lukas, age difference 16 years!
  11. For sale used Northwave NW Point 900 size "E" / euro 44-45 / mondo 29. Boots are in very good condition with usual wear marks. Price: 370 EUR (or best offer) + shipping anywhere in the world. Send enquiry/offers by PM or by mail to 2002match(at)gmail.com. Cheers, MATCH
  12. Personally I really like the 2011/12 line and the story behind. By the way, new SG slogan is: "SG SNOWBOARDS, TOO FAST TO CATCH"... ...like cheetahs :eplus2:. CHEERS match
  13. Check SG webiste from previous season for more info: http://www.whizzcms.com/__sgs/frontend/start.html
  14. SG Soul is softboot freeride & freecarve board. It is softer and wider than its hardboot brother SG Cult. Both decks are not in production anymore. Check SG webiste from previous season for more info: http://www.whizzcms.com/__sgs/frontend/start.html
  15. A short video footage from fissnowboard website. http://fisplayer.infrontams.tv/snowboard/?id=307
  16. This season SG introduced new GS lengths. Beside softer 175 and stiffer 185 SG now offers 170 and 180 which are both stiffer than 175. I can't imagine driving 185 beast all day long. I found shorter boards more forgiving. So my choice for this season is SG Full Race Titan 170. Match
  17. Try to be funny or just sarcastic? You always get what you give! With proper attitude every problem can be solved. With such sarcasm your chances are limited! Sigi doesn't make SG boards himself, like Sean or Bruce. Boards are made in Elan factory under high quality standards. Every warranty case is reviewed by SG stuff and Elan's quality inspectors. And that takes time. Like or not! CHEERS
  18. WinterGold, I have tested many decks in the past, metal and nonmetal but never had a chance to compare two decks with exactly same shape and different construction. My choice would be Full Carve 163 and Full Race 170 but I really want to compare same lengths. For now I have only feedback from Sigi. Hope to test decks anytime soon. Full Carve looks very promising. And I like the new lengths, last year Full Race Titanal 175 was a bit too soft for me, and 185 was too long for my taste. This year 170 and 180 are stiffer than 175.
  19. It's a bit easier if you are a dealer/distributor... ;)
  20. SG Full Carve 170 and SG Full Race Titan 170. Exactly the same shape, only one glass and the other metal construction. I've never had a chance to ride glass and metal board with same specs before. Let's see if the metal performance justify higher price... ;) ...and VIRUS X-treme Carver 169. I simply love wide decks.
  21. Slytech products are made by same company as Shred goggles and helmets. I believe company was started by Olympic Gold Medalist and World Cup GS Champion Ted Ligety. US DEALER is: CERSAL ACTION SPORTS INC. 28 Daniel Plummer Road #11 Goffstown, NH 03045 USA Tel: 603 384 3120 Fax: 425 671 9845 Web: www.shredoptics.com Email: info@shredoptics.com CHEERS match
  22. I've been using Dainese Full coat armor for last 6 years. It has saved me from serious injury at least 10 times . But now it's time to get a new armor. I have heard only good things about armors made of memory cell foam. Never had one of these but I'll give it a try this winter. My choice is combination of Slytech 2nd Skin Back protector and Multi sport jacket (www.slytechprotection.com). I found very interesting following impact chart.
