Mike T Posted December 13, 2010 Report Share Posted December 13, 2010 The last 20% of the sidecut ramps to a tighter radius. This can give you a bit of a glass feel to the end of the turn. In race applications it enables a degree correction if the racer gets late. Sean, glad to see you are providing this option. I personally find this type of shape advantageous in freecarve applications where I get too far in the back seat... instead of careening down the fall line, I come across it hard. This can give you a bit of a glass feel to the end of the turn. sounds neat. are increasing radius boards therefore noticeably less 'poppy' at carve exits? i like a board w/ exit energy, and was looking at a newfangled multiradius shape (r12/14), but curious if it'd be less 'fun' for recreational carving. I know it's for another forum topic but I just rode my new arbor a-frame and after a season on a new camrock nidecker, all I can say is camber rocks and rocker sucks!
