  1. Epic Pass is great, I must admit. This past season was made better by having one, for sure. It paid for itself so many times over that I stopped keeping a rolling rough estimate. I use it primarily at Park City because I am there more and more frequently. It even got me an unexpected 40% off at Jackson. Used it at Stowe and that went smoothly even though they were still in transition. Okemo is next, I think.
  2. i get jokes. this one is funny. right ?
  3. if no time allows for a thoughtful or considerate answer to the question; "what type of board is that?"...................i glance to the board that i am riding and respond with it's country of manufacture. i.e., "it's spanish" or "it's slovenian". some boards work better than others for this.
  4. i am a below average golfer but i can hit way more than 200 yards. that's why i haven't seen that one.
  5. SilverBullet, I pm’d you a couple of days ago.
  6. Powder Mtn. is awesome. Nice choice.
  7. my first instinct is to agree with you but i also realize that some folks taking pictures IS actually helpful. Taking photos is just not how i would react, myself. Documentation is so important but i do wonder if the motive for the videography is voyeuristic or some type of perverse entertainment.
  8. no retirement to VT in sight for me, anytime soon. let them all go to Florida, Pat. you definitely have it figured out, if you ask me. the only way that i could have stayed past yesterday would have been to run the car into a snowbank. hmmm.......
  9. just got back from a day at Bromley, 3 days at Stowe and a hike on the AT to the summit of Pico . all with my 10 year old (i broke trail of course.) wow ! best conditions i have hit on in VT in about 10 years. so glad my youngest could see it. such a beautiful state
  10. Like the title states. I will likely not use it and i would much rather it be useful or a backup for someone who rides them instead of step-ins. 1st person to pm me an address and i will mail it out in the next few days.
  11. Gremlin, if it is flex that you dislike or want to lessen, i think the step-in version of the OS1 (w/intec) is way more rigid a transfer than OS1 outfitted with the Standards. just my .02 Cents. i have ridden both versions of OS1 and some borrowed OS2s and i prefer the OS1 with step-ins. I am well over 6 ft, about 220 lbs with gear and my boot size is 31.5. i like the larger diameter disc - dead zone and all. OS2 smaller diameter disc "feels" great but also "felt" to me like it'd yank the inserts out of some boards. the step-ins have been very reliable but the standard bails have bent and released, on occasion. my experience anyway.
  12. i have a set of large NX2 AT bindings from 2013 or 2014 that are in very good condition. very stiff (9/10). if you google image them they are the ones with polished aluminum and green/black color scheme. if you are interested, let me know and i will get you pics. not sure exactly what i want for them. i will be thinking about that.
  13. if i recall, weren't those early downhill influenced snowboard events not so spectator friendly ? carnage, right ? one edge instead of two, and all ?
  14. howdy i don't give .02 cents what you think and i think you should take this generous offer because i think that is all that your comments are worth and no one else will certainly pay more. what a coincidence ! this reads like one of your unnecessarily public, insulting low-ball offers in the classifieds. your profanity is a nice touch, as well.
  15. yeah, you are correct. it says w/bindings in the description but the last line indicates bindings removed
  16. nevermind. it describes as; "with bindings" turns out no bindings indcluded. sorry about that.
  17. looks like a really good deal with a buy it now option. if someone were looking for Catek OS1 standards and a cool board, it looks like it'd fit the bill
  18. my stance is almost never the same, twice. 100 % board dependent. always flat but never duck, as high as 72/64 or as low as 42/30 (hardboots). as high as 45/30 or as low as 18/6 (softboots). size 15 boots (31.5) have some say in the calculus.
  19. my beloved Tankers have not seen snow even a single day this winter. i am scared for them when snow's thin. the boards themselves started out with less base material (thickness) than many other boards. a big component of how they achieve their lightweight.
  20. i do a VT trip with my 10 year old every year (5th grade this year - she skis free a lot of places. sweet). always a blast. Stowe this year because they are on the Epic pass. on the first day of the trip last year we pulled up to Bromley (i love Bromley) but it was so wind scoured and thin that i put the back up plan into action. we drove to Pico/Killington and parked at the trailhead for the sherburne/long trail section of the appalachian trail that summits on top of Pico. she was unenthused at first but i told her that i would carry her skis and pack her ski boots away so that she could hike in better footwear. she got to lead, too (very good idea of mine). she would turn around, stop my momentum and ask if we were almost there yet, a lot. anyway, she was so filled with accomplishment when we walked out of the woods and onto the slope. she could see and quantify what she'd just done. she insists that we have to do it every VT trip. music to my ears. next time, she will have her own back pack. boots, at least.
