  1. Maybe it wasn’t snowboarding videos the were talking about…
  2. Searching "Vibra-Tite VC-3" on Amazon brought up some surprising results. Not only are my bindings now evidently safer but my pelvic floor is also rejuvenated. Thank you @lonbordin!
  3. Given the aftermath of the whole thing, could there have been a more appropriate song? Maybe she chose it as a thumb in the eye to her handlers but more likely they chose it as an unsubtle message...Either way, I'm disappointed she didn't go full Iggy and smear herself with peanut butter while rolling around in broken glass. Missed opportunity there.
  4. And had she stuck it, she would have been the female Badass Jeff Brushie. And people would have emulated her. And then judging would have been added for tricks. Then direct racing would have been eliminated because it interferes with individual style. And then courses would have been shortened because it's not racing anymore. Ultimately, it would have turned into boring moguls skiing and no one would watch it. Every day, I give praise to God Almighty for causing Lindsey Jacobellis to botch that grab and keep snowboard cross pure.
  5. Like “hubris,” it’s only “showboating” when s*** goes south.
  6. Coming from Jersey, I’m sure it tastes suspiciously like people who didn’t pay their gambling debts.
  7. Bought the Kaon-CXs last year. Wanted to love them. Nidecker claims the chassis was built on the Flow platform, which might be great if you don't have giant landslappers. The XL for these and the Flows don't seem to add much length over the L but a ton of width so the boots slosh around laterally. And I broke one of the totally sexy and sleek carbon highbacks on the first day. Frankly, I'd have happily replaced the highback if the chassis wasn't designed for Babar the Snowboarder. As a side note, the straps are fantastic and I managed to find a set to retrofit onto some Catek FR2s.
  8. Nitrates AND nitrites! Lays waste to all vegans within 50 yards.
  9. Are we sure that’s not Dana Carvey (no pun intended) doing an impersonation of Jerry Lundegaard from Fargo?
  10. Yeah, I don’t know, man; the earth looks pretty flat from here…
  11. What board were you riding in the soft?
  12. That went poorly. Trying a different angle here. Looking to experiment with step-ins. Found heels. Looking for the full Intec F2 binding setup, large. Or, I have a pair of standard F2s and could convert them with the right bits.
  13. Dude, it’s not about camber, it’s all torsional stiffness. An anally inserted carbon stiffening rod may be the answer. At least that’s what Mario has been saying I should try.
  14. Any deeper musings on the XVs? I’m really tempted. I’d like to find a replacement for the Cateks but Rides, Nows and Flows have left me unmoved.
  15. I don't think I've said that in over 20 years. This forum has a bad habit of making me question my life choices.
  16. I love that you waited until you got home to confirm. The true benefit of the white Sansabelts is that you don’t have to check, the evidence is obvious to everyone.
  17. You’d have included “waxless Brazilians” in your list…
  18. Yes, it’s called Gorilla tape. Also useful if you have home repairs or kidnappings on the agenda.
  19. Any feedback on the CV stiffness? Considering the allegedly stiffer XV but…
  20. Rich unintentional comedy vein here... "We're not talking about these $1000 custom jobs recommended by butt-hurt, middle-aged white guys wearing ski boots." And in a list created by a butt-hurt ("angry") middle-aged white guy, the number 1 carving board is a $1000 deck created by a guy who made his reputation wearing "ski boots." I love this guy!
