  1. YMMV I found using the Booster under the tongue while far more responsive to be incredibly painful, it got so bad that I had use them over the tongue and will be remolding my liners this time with the booster straps as a workaround.
  2. Let me guess, the Deeluxe half moon rivet in the AF series boots?
  3. Yup. Smart move. I think we need an updated list of snb company -> snb manufacturer lists, there was one floating around here or on extremecarving.
  4. Name names I guess these guys were exclusive to NBC?
  5. So anyone else hate the adjustable bail height on the intec titaniums? Bastards always loosen up after a few days and need readjusting. Even using the.correct loctite didnt work, finally swapped em out for the older style bails that can flip back.
  6. What forum BTW? Something devoted to the one and true god - freestyle SNB?
  7. Some of you forgot that you can patent a similar product as long as it has a novel function or design or even different manufacturing process and its fair game. Thats the whole point, protect what one did but keep the door open to innovation. And as some mentioned its a very fine line and open to serious litigation That said, Ive never seen an Iron Rock board in person but from the pictures I dont see an iota of difference from an Allflex. A literal copy and paste.
  8. Another failure, my first TD failure of any kind. BTW this is the front foot, 3 degree baseplate. Im sure my 100kg had something to do with it and that the bindings were 9 years old - used every season averaging 10 days.
  9. Dakine double ski bag. When flying bend a piece of cardboard around the edges. Last trip I easily fit my 200 Tanker, 180 SG and 173 Goltes plus boots two pairs of bindings and clothing and every single imaginable accesory.
  10. Neil do you know the amount of ramp in Northwave boots?
  11. Hi Geof, I am 183 cm and ride with a 52.7 cm stance on GS boards. In fact I had the exact same F2 (2005/2006 Speedster RS 183) as you and remember I could max the stance out more than 54 cm. So either you are doing something wrong or the board you have was custom for a shorter racer and maybe tailored with a smaller max stance. In fact Im almost positive thats the case as you have additional UPM holes for a plate which wasnt offered on stock models. You also mentioned thats its stiff but the stock board is overall quite flexible. If you could take a picture of the hole pattern and measure the distance between the outer-most holes that would confirm that a 50cm is the maximum you have. So while I consider this F2 (to be one of the best ‘old tech’ versions out there, this particular one appears to be have been built to someone a lot shorter than you. Ive noticed that the standard reply for anyone asking about problems with their board is “get a new board” but in this case, I think its the smartest choice.
  12. You'll still get reamed if you ship it to the US. Your best bet is to ship it to someone in Euroland and have them resend it to you or at least to a courier broker with you declaring the value. However, one thing to note is that you should not be charged VAT which in Norway is a whopping 25%. So do the math and see which is more financially prudent.
  13. My fav is Toko service wax. Universal on the base and the cold wax up to 1 inch from the edges. Any service wax from Swix or whomever is what you want or the lower priced Dominator stuff if you want to pamper your board. Anything else is overkill for the recreational rider, especially any wax with fluro in it is a waste of money for the recretional rider and incredibly damaging to the environment.
  14. Started the season fatter and more out of shape than last year so that was a bummer. Starting at 8:30 am I was done by 2 pm, so besides improving mr. good ol technique I've got to enhance mr. endurance. Today's our last day in Kaunertal, Austria. Deluged with hardboot racers and teams, more so than the other glaciers I've hit up this time of the year. Quite a pleasure watching a wide age group of very talented racers from the Korean, Slovenian, Czech, and Ukrainian teams here. I talked to one young Czech rider about 10 years old that was absolutely killing it, definitely future gold medalist there. So uhh yea I got work to do.
  15. I have manufacturing experience and honestly besides future R&D I can't really see the problem if all of you have are legacy products with an almost turn-key operation that's seasonal and contracts out the machining. Just basic quality control with a caliper and ruler IMHO and the rest is just running a small business. I think the Callens were heading in the right direction by turning Bomber from a manufacturer into a true outfitter with marketing taking the lead as a way to grow the market but it sounds like they did it by totally sacrificing the operations side for promotion and lifestyle and just overspent on the wrong things (the showroom and new van had me scratching my head from day one). Let alone the needed operating capital as SnowNbeach expertly summed up.
  16. Ive never seen a snowboard bridge... that thing would have to be pretty huge.. but seems like it could be a time-efficient asset for base grinding. WD40 is an excellent adhesive remover, just allow it to soak in a bit, and a hair dryer/heat gun could also be used to speed things up. Jonny's idea also sounds interesting.
  17. Hey MY, I also had a R53 Mini with the JCW package plus some other light mods. The supercharger whine was phenomenal and the driving experience was just so much fun. I could definitely complain about the build quality but still regret selling the car, shouldve kept it instead of buying a... VW Golf... For a car pushing 14 years its looks great
  18. Never drove the SLK but have been the wheel behind the Z3 with the 2.8 and 3.0L multiple times and of course different Miatas. If you want an instant classic get the hardtop coupe but prices are already sky high, but you get an instant classic that prices are only going up. I'd do all to avoid the 4 cylinders as they are just dog slow, in fact avoid all of them except the 2.8L version and then aim for a pre-facelift with the M52B28 (try to avoid engines with VANOS and pretty much stay away from the 3.0L as they all glug tons of oil). If a no go get the 2.5L. Id get the Z3 over the Miata in a heartbeat for a bajillion reasons, but the Miata is certainly cheaper to maintain and get parts. But holy balls look at the Z3
  19. Forgot about this thread ? First the only picture I can find online of my Chevelle, it was restored in the late 90s when DLCs were still a rarity, I'd have to dig up the prints from somewhere. 307 block with iron heads and cheesy Edlebrock, I had the hilarious 2-speed Powermatic or whatever which quickly gave up and swapped in a TH350. The previous owner added a sunroof for a reason I never knew. Bought it as the frame and body were largely rust free (still had to weld in new rear rocker panels, floor, etc) otherwise it was bare with no engine or transmission. I was 20 by the time I finished it, by then I needed a dependable ride back and forth from school so had to sell it. Great car but it pretty much bankrupted me as a poor college student. Currently my daily driver is a BMW E39 530i touring with a LPG conversion, gets sweet sweet mileage running on good ol propane and just practical as hell. But my pride and joy locked away in my garage is my E30 324td touring (I love station wagons btw). This is a body platform and engine never sold in the US. God damn 80s diesel mated to a 5-speed with oversize trunk, for the hack job it technically was from BMW it is very well built. I restored it until I ran out of money but kept it entirely stock, even have the original CD player. I did chip the engine though and increase the boost as the factory 115 hp was bleh. In the future I'll add a LSD with a higher gear ratio as again the stock 3.15 or 2.73 is crap, or maybe update the turbo to something bigger who knows. I drove this car all over Europe after restoring it until I said its just too damn valuable and locked it away. One day I'll ship it stateside.
  20. Recommend adding a little star or something like ‘Supporting member’ for those who donate not just a color change, on another couple of forums it was found to be a greater incentive ?
  21. Please consider your liners as wells. Yiu can modify the combination of tongue stiffness, springs, liner, and shell stiffness to get what you want, and Id consider springs a downright neccesity for the 700s
  22. You my sir win the internets for today, a 9 year old thread, never have I seen a better and more positive followup and that includes my BBS days. If I found him right, very impressive stats https://data.fis-ski.com/dynamic/athlete-biography.html?sector=SB&competitorid=175101&type=result
  23. I can imagine the amount of work that's needed to go through so much inventory so definitely patience patience patience but still, you kind of feel left out since I wrote to the seller the day this thread was created.
  24. I've been waiting since last week for a response
