Wow, look forward (sorta) to hearing what this means for BOL, the business.

@Jack Michaud, are you seeking or accepting financial contributions to keep the servers humming?

Let us know if so (now, or some future time) - I suspect you'll find a log of willing 'helpers'.

Thanks for keeping this all alive!!

Thanks Jim.  Watch for changes in the days ahead for how members can support the site.  At the moment I am paying out of pocket.  The plan is for ASB to become self-sustaining, and to also financially support USASA and USSRT.  Stay tuned! :thumbsup

Its a tiny, minor thing, but once the dust settles and you can breathe again, and you get an idea of a logo, and maybe some funding (you could treat it like a funding goal - reach $XXXX.XX, and we get a favicon!), it'd be awesome to have a favicon set, so the ASB browser tab sticks out for those of us who have ridiculous numbers of tabs open at any one time, but feel the need to compulsively check ASB for the latest posts. :-)

Well - getting over here was technically easy but emotionally difficult.  Thanks to Jack, Fin and anyone else who helped!

I may have missed a few recent posts somewhere, but I am wondering what are the prospects for someone taking on the manufacture of Bomber gear and parts.  My TD3's are pretty tough and might outlive me without any more parts, but  FinTec heels need treads and cables now and then. I have parts to convert one pair to standard, but getting clipped into those after lunch is not something I'm looking forward to.  Has anyone used Intec heels and receivers on TD3's?  I found Intecs a little dainty compared to the TD2/3, but I was rather klutzier then.

Is there any stock of TD parts extant that someone might acquire and make a little business out of selling to the community?  Have any of the other retailers in the business been showing any interest in handling parts?  Is there any prospect of licensing the designs (and tooling) and having the wearing parts manufactured?

Words cannot express how thankful I am that we are working to keep the community alive. Thank you Jack and Fin and everyone else who have helped keep us afloat. Very smooth forum transition so far, and it is nice to have the forums where they are not dependant on bomber.

Does anyone have any light to shed on what this means exactly for the business as well as manufacturing of bomber? I too am crossing my fingers that it is transfered to a new or existing company.

Sad day for Bomber, but also a new beginning. Thanks Jack for the dedication!

Bomber saved snowboarding for me, as I was about to quit altogether. I've learned so much from the community and met countless good people that I wouldn't have otherwise. Thanks to Fin for having the vision to set it all up so many years ago.

Done.

Thanks everyone for your support, it means a lot.  Also please bear with me, as I also have a full time job (believe it or not) which is not ASB.  So I'm learning Wordpress on the fly here for the main site, and handling things in spare time.

Big thanks to @Corey for staying on as moderator, and please welcome @GeoffV and @Mellow Yellow as your new moderators.  Thanks guys!  They have been around BOL for longer than I can remember.  Thank you also to Bryan (@www.oldsnowboards.com) for your service as moderator these past 5 years.  Bryan is stepping down to manage his several groups and pages on Facebook, including Alpine Snowboard Trader.  Good luck Bryan!

While this does appear to be the end of the trail for Bomber and the bindings, the silver lining is that now we have an opportunity to have a carving community not connected to any manufacturer or vendor.  I think this could turn into something special, especially if we can support USASA and USSRT.  I believe youth racing is what will keep this sport alive.  As we can see in the demographics poll, the population of enthusiast freecarvers is aging.

Thanks again!

Don't thrash yourself all at once, @Jack Michaud - stretch the pain out slowly over the long-haul - its better for you, and all of us! :-)

And seriously, let us know if, when and how we can help.

Just a thought atleast for a good while... Might want to buy/ keep the domain name alive for bomberonline.com and forums.bomberonline.com with redirects here (no actual page needed) Can we also keep all of the resources from bomber website including pictures and names of parts, etc? Even though catek is gone it is nice being able to look information up still.

For that matter (not now but down the road) it would actually be nice to see the ASB site become an updated carvers almanac with information on other brands as well. Just thinking out loud. I am sure you could get help from us when the time came.

Very sad to hear it is likely the end for the bomber products too. I am curious now as to the legalities and possibilities of releasing detailed specs and information to us on the parts and bindings. I think it would be amazing to see from the ashes of this like an open source binding project, perhaps a way to maintain parts for existing bindings too. In my opinion, while the TD3 was not perfect, it made huge strides in improvement over most other alpine bindings out there that seem to use the same or similar mold of the f2.
