carvedog
Sun Valley still looking good. Had great winter snow conditions yesterday morning above 7k feet. Today all slush almost everywhere. They closed Seattle Ridge today for the season. Scheduled to close next Sunday. I was hoping they were going to hold out for another week but with temps like this it will go fast. Still great snow and coverage up high, but thin at the bottom. Just went outside and in the valley - 5,600 feet, it was still 50F and not supposed to freeze tonight at all. Stick a fork in it and turn it over, it's almost done.
johnasmo
Targhee snowpack is still good. Just did a three day weekend with dredman, Two Ravens, Big Dog Dave, Casper Carver, and notarealname (new Dave) and the carving was great. They're going to stay open through this coming Sunday, April 18. (Day 129 and counting...)

Fastskiguy
My season ended way back in January but at least I ended up with a trinket for the "season"
Dan
The season is definitely not over out here -- we're getting hammered with late El Nino storms in Oregon, along with the rest of the West Coast. Mt. Hood Meadows just extended their season to May 15...they'll have plenty of snow after that, just not enough paying customers to turn the chairs. This photo is from last Friday. I picked the right day to play hooky from work: <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/1hswvSjHl9nFQoGk2rs4XiUitRxWImVcuars1vy65ds?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_qsz1Sv2VCbA/S8P7lTfXM7I/AAAAAAAAAzI/_afIqvThClQ/s400/IMG_2094.jpg" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/dtochen/20100412?authkey=Gv1sRgCKjivfSou8v7SA&feat=embedwebsite">2010-04-12</a></td></tr></table>

*Ace*
Thanks guys. Hit a tree while tearing through the glades at Breckenridge with some friends. Got caught on a toe edge, tried to go down in a way so I would avoid the tree, but twisted at the last second and body was on one side, my board and feet on the other. POP! I knew instantly that something was severly injured, same feeling when my AC went out last year. I'll be back on the snow before you know it. I just wish I could have rode a little more this season. 135 days just isn't enough.
kieran
cairngorm reckon 70" on the top plateau, 32 in the middle. we've been on since the middle of november and looking good until the middle of may. crazy stuff.

b0ardski
tried to go down in a way so I would avoid the tree, but twisted at the last second and body was on one side, my board and feet on the other.POP! I knew instantly that something was severly injured, Sounds familiar, I tore mine loose in the same manner. I got back on the board too soon:smashfrea, I don't recommend that. 20 MCL-less years later I need a brace to carry the weight of the board on the chairlift:( Heal well & get back on it easy. Erik J
My season started with injuries - I'm done as of early April Nov 09 - hernia, rode with it through the season not wanting to miss days on the hill Dec 09 - degenerative disc problems start popping up, sciatic pain daily not fun, rode with it not wanting to miss days I'll be tuning myself for next season
Bullwings
I had a pretty decent season - no injuries so I can complain, and only 1 broken board. Home mountain closes tomorrow - I went up last week, I don't feel like putting the time, effort, and money into going up for the last day. I got 19 days this season - missed my goal, which is 20 days or more every season. I was pretty short on vacation hours, so I couldn't take much time off. Home mountain is 80 miles away (90 miles now since the main road has been shut down for the next 3-4 months). Mammoth will be open till July 4th and will have good riding well into the middle of May, but again, I've had a good season, and I think i'm gonna start saving some money. Skateboarding/longboarding for the most part is free or extremely cheap - time to bust out the slalom cones. I might try surfing this summer... tahoetrencher
Thursday's 20" thawed hard and froze for a phenomenal transition. Fast and firm under the severely radiating sun 'til at least 1:00 pm. Had to abandon still good carving because of all the B-lining-flappin' starter jacket-funny-hat tourist torpedoes. Lucky to get down in one piece! The Hero carve was so good I felt like an outlaw.
Cuban Carving Gooding
Fast and firm is right up my alley. Sorry to hear about the funny hat people. You need to make the best of it. No snow in Cleveland See you out there next season Tahoetrencher.
