  4. Yeah, I was lucky pass my break even (14days), thinking can reach 20 days.. naah only 18 days (that's include Blackcomb). What about you? Days in CM? And total snow? Blackcomb not as great as I thought but any snow specially on crazy huge mountain it's always good and carving with the pros is a bonus...what am I talking about - any snow is good!!!That's the reason I've so many decks for any kind of snow ;) Cheers happy summer, RT I think I've made my mind about my board after seeing Gordy on his Coil...be ready Mr.BV
  5. Barry & Mark, I don't know how extensive the damage but check this painbreakthrough.com before decided to a surgery. I'm glad I wasn't and this method works for me. I also post here for Al With this treatment I still drink the "cocktail" (Tramadol Hcl 100Mg, Naproxin 500Mg & Cyclobenzaprine Hcl 10Mg) but reduced significantly the amount that I have to intake. The cocktail seems more effective with this treatment. I haven't touch Tramadol + Naprox for about 4 months and the Cycloben about a year if not more. Before almost weekly even daily intake. This method is treat/attacking from different direction, it controlling the amount of TNF (Tumor_necrosis_factor-alpha). The TNF is the one that commands the body to create inflammation. Inflamation it's good couse it's telling you something is not right but to much inflamations all the time it's also not good couses other headache right? This treatment it's not going to cure your problem but it's going to make your life easier. This treatment is not for everyone, check with INR I also found a simple stretching by "sucked" in your stomach. (Keep normal breathing with the chest) Start controlling your stomach muscle not to hang lose, yeah it's hard if you have a "beer belly" (sorry don't want to offend anyone). For stiffness like in the morning, sitting long hours, carving etc while hold the stomach muscle flat (like almost touching your spine) raise both arms on top your head - cross fingers left and right hand facing upside down and place it on top of your head. Don't forget to breath with your chest normally then raised both arms high slowly to maximum as both upper arms touching your ears and hold for at least 15 second (don't forget to breath normal with your chest) and lowered both arms slowly back on top your head (in the mean time you still hold your stomach flat) and repeat if not relieve if you feel relieve then slowly you can lowered your arm then slowly relax the stomach muscle slowly but try not to let it loose completely. For extreme stiffness: while your arms is raised to max, bend your upper body slightly forward slowly (raised arms follow forward) and hold 15 seconds and move it back slowly to straight position. Repeat the forward motion (keep arms raised to max) if you do not feel relieve. When you hold your stomach tight inward the right way you will feel an increase height/distance between your hips and your ribs. Seems the back muscle in strengthening and push your upper body up. This mean the back muscle is holding the spine and by doing that the distance between the spine is increasing. This exercise you can do anywhere while sitting or even while having your dinner. You also will loose weigh once you master mind it, as the stomach muscle contracting is decreasing the stomach space - you'll be "fuller" quickly ;) Never do the old school stretching where you twist your upper body, this motion is actually compressing the disk. What you want is to decrease the compress on the disk by increasing the distance between spine. FOR CARVING: WHEN YOU HAVE TO BEND DOWN; to buckle or when trenchin hold your stomach "in" and you will feel instance relieve and stronger back muscle and you can easily bend your upper body. Bryan, hope the explanation help. In Canada is definitely not covered by Insurance, don't know in US. I was told I can get only 2 shots (I only take one so far), I'm not sure that limitation for every one or only my case. First shot $4200 , 2nd $3200 but I've heard Epidural shot in US is $3500/shot. This is my own experience and these works and made my life 180* better. Going thru hundreds of needle from Prolotherapy, Epidural, Life X-ray Epidural, from X-ray, Cat Scan, MRI . Hours of PT, Chiro, Gym, Swimming etc. It took me almost 4 years to find the right cocktail but all ware off quickly or you have to keep taking the cocktail. I've had my problems since 2005 and more then one year with the treatment. Good luck guys, I hope this can help. RT

  9. I'm assuming you haven't done these adjustments on the DEELUXE but if you did then please disregards: MICRO adjustment on: BUCKLESl Twist/turn "Clockwise" to make it shorter Reposition: TRACK METAL TEETH Unscrew and move away from the buckles. No heel lift? If you do experience lift then u might want to check the wire strap length if the MICRO adjustment on the ankle/arch buckle is max in. Hope this will help, RT

  14. Yeah it was fun ride until I was ejected twice from the front binding on my KST180. Please read report about the other important of having LEASHed all the time. Happy Snow, RT
  15. There is another talk about leash here but I decided to start a new thread here as I want to share how important this LEASH is! I never thought any other reason than preventing from running/falling board... ooh I was so wrong!! That day: As my front binding accidentally release and ejected the front boot, the board wants to rotate side ways on its base. The leash that was attached to the front binding and my front leg was holding the board to rotate completely preventing making my rear boot that is still attach into the rear binding as the axis of the rotation. Imagine this if the leash wasn't there attached to my front leg, the rear boot would twisted inward 180* or counter clock wise following the board rotation. This mean my rear foot likely will be ripped out of my ankle and face backward. Yeah you guess it right, guarantee I wont be back on the slope for the rest of my life... worst case I probably won't walk without crutches. NOTE: The force of the rotation was so violent that my REAR TD2 Toe Bail binding was twisted as the binding try to rotate around the boot. What's left was sore right ankle and right shoulder, yeah I was lucky. Be safe, enjoy the snow. RT
  16. Got hit twice, both from the back: A couple years ago an uncontrolled straight liner SBer - I wore the jacket in my Avatar which mixed Dark Brown, White and Orange. A month ago a skier and I use Bright Orange/Red - she just can't stop in time. And her friend told me "U have to be careful" don't stop suddenly in front of her Good thing, I got witnesses for both and saved by my body armour RT
  17. Hey, aren't you supposedly sitting sipping margarita and watching the tennis playa practizing???:D
  18. Mike, welcome to the dark side  of Hard Boot(HB)ing. You are in the right place. About boot size, first make sure your feet is on the narrow side or wider side? If you skip this you can end up going thru pain staking experience and $$$ and time. I wan't you to have happy ending switching to HB. There are many shells on the market but they are made to specific feet build. For example most Burton that I know are made for narrow feet. DEELUXE TRACK or AF model for wider feet also HEAD STRATOS PRO Here are reliable tech stuff for your home work finding your right boots BOMBER Tech or you can find detail comparison chart of Deeluxe boots in YYZCanuck Tech info. I hope this will help, good luck and do visit us when you have a chance check here Vancouver Diaries 2012/2013. RT
