Mike T
Woo hooo! Ripped up deep powder yesterday and today! No problem taking out the nice boards now unless you follow me into the trees (remember our joke? Skilled and Stupid = better have your rock board and no fear). We gotta find a good graphic to make some "skilled and stoopid" T shirts. Mr.E
Looking forward to this, thanks Mike! Hope the new "old" knee is up to it, and that I can get up to practice a bit before the event! Hey Ryan, please shoot me a PM re: boot parts. I talked to one of your ski guys and he seemed a little perplexed by my want of buckles (though very nice and desperatly tried to be helpful). Had i known there was an alpine rider on staff...

Dan
Hi folks, I just purchased a 5-pack of Bachelor tickets, and I'm only expecting to use 3. Anyone interested in 2 of them? Call it $46 apiece. Looking forward to OES!
Mike T
Bachelor has gotten 6 feet of snow in the past week. Plenty of base! Think sun and cold for OES which is less than two months away! Those who have stayed at places other than the Riverhouse, Inn of the 7th mountain, and Shilo Inn, please post your reviews - out-of-towners need tips on where to stay
zoom
Woohoo! Bachelor will be a whole new mountain when we get back! The Days Inn on 97 is pretty much exactly what you'd expect - reasonably clean, quiet, no frills. Their major perks for us were wireless internet and reasonable pet fees. When we stayed there (sometime last season) the cost for a 2 person room was about $55.
Randy T.
Okay I went ahead and got a room at the Riverhouse. It's not the cheapest place but it sounds like a good deal for a nice bed, hot tub, indoor and outdoor heated pools and free DSL. Plus I'm splitting the cost with my buddy Russell. We will be leaving from Reno on Wed. the 5th, riding on Thur, Fri and Sat and then driving home on Sunday.

Mike T
Cool - will be good to see you again, C5! Bachelor is doing quite well in terms of snowpack. In fact this week is going to be the first string of three or more carving days since it started dumping around 12/17 or so.

www.oldsnowboards.com
Furi, that sounds like a great deal!! As I was driving back from Bend yesterday. The thought occurred to me to we might want to list some of the other fun areas that are within striking distance of Bend. Such as: Smith Rock. Famous rock climbing area. Approx an hour north of Bend (easy drive) Kahneeta : Indian reservation/ Resort/ Casino/ Hot Springs (hour and a half or so)
Ladia
I can not go to SES this year, so I plan to drive to Bachelor in March. Just hope the weather will be better than last time I was there.
