  1. ...just bought some protective shorts from Crash Pads... ...after I hurt my butt. Used them for the first time last weekend and like them. And they didn't seem too expensive either... Hagen.
  2. ...not sure about that, doesn't stuff that was mad illegal usually become more expensive?
  3. ...like that. Now I know what to do with all that left over pvc pipe from the last irrigation project.
  4. ...on a side note. Trying to avoid comments in the lift line like "Hagen how is your but?", I just ordered some padded pants from crash pads. When I received the shipping info, I realized that those guys are located in Astoria, OR. ...may be we should invite them next year. Hagen.
  5. I also had a great time (despite the fact that I again couldn't ride all 4 days, have to break that curse next year). Thanks to Mike, Bonny, Bruce, RJ and everyone else who made OES a great event. Special thanks also to Sean for his donation to the raffle - can't wait to ride that axxess... :D See you all next year, Hagen.
  6. Sunrise parking lot at 8am every day. Check also the official website. Hagen.
  7. ...still have to work a couple hours before I can leave for OR. See you guys tomorrow in the morning... :D
  8. I should also be able to give you a ride back to Sunriver...
  9. ...ouch! Hope you get better soon! Was looking forward to meet you on the slopes again. I guess now I have to wait until next season... Hagen.
  10. ...only a little bit more then 2 weeks left, can't wait. Will have a Voelkl Renntiger Slalom board (I think it's a 158, forgot what year but should be early 2000s, didn't ride it much) for sale. Hagen
  11. Now that's a deal! ...just ordered my tickets, can't wait to go! :)
  12. ...I hope it's a big cooler.
  13. ...ok, sent a little help. But now I also want to see a bald carving picture. :D
  14. +1 for Soelden - that's the mountain that inspired me to get into carving. And it's the only place I have seen tandem carvers at so far... Hagen.

    Oes 2008!

LOL ...now somone just needs to photoshop an orange ribon into the cat's hands.
  16. I was hoping to demo boards to replace my good old Burton Speed (168 with the 21.5 waist). I planned on giving the Cult.69 and the Speed.73 a try. After I heard that the cult was on the soft side, I decided to not try. So I only demoed the speed.73. ...and what a nice board that is! After a run or two to get used to it (I don't switch boards much) I really started to like it. It feels more stable than the Burton and was holding a carve really well. It's a little bit narrower than the Burton (19.4 vs. 21.5 waist) and has a bigger side cut as well (13m vs 10.25m). The SG is also a little bit stiffer than the Burton. I thought I had found the perfect board for myself in the Burton. But the SG works much better for me. ...so it drove home with me. I'm just glad that I didn't try any of the metal boards. Buying one of those probably would have put me into the dog house... Hagen.

    Oes 2008!

...as if I did need more reasons to come to Oregon! Now I really can't wait... And Mike, sorry I forgot to check the size of that board. It got a little crazy at work, I'm now in Mexico for a few days. Should be back home end of this week and will try to remember to check on the size of that board. Hagen.

    Oes 2008!

I'm bringing two boards that I'm thinking about selling (to may be finance a new board) - a 188 burner and a Renntiger SL (it's either 158 or 163). Hagen.

    Oes 2008!

if there is a cult that is longer than 169 then I would actually prefer that. But from the SG website it looks like all the freecarving boards are shorter than 170... Hagen.

    Oes 2008!

...nice. Would love to try the cult.69 or the speed.73 Hagen.
  24. ...right, but at the same time that's what probably over 90% of the people who take pictures use. I myself are usually to lazy to mess with WB - if I know that I might run into problems then I just shoot raw and fix it in Photoshop.
  25. ...ins't the blue tint also because of the white balance getting confused with lots of white?
