  1. I'm gonna have to try and clean my basement too! Wait a minute...I don't have a basement! Foiled again! LOL!
  2. Howdy Ian! I've been wanting to get up to Pico for awhile now, maybe this is the year! How are the crowds on the weekend at Pico? Jeff
  3. Funny tid bit, I was thinkin' to myself, WTH are TD2 pucks? Then I was like, DUH, center disks! And then I said to myself, now why would anyone have a set of center disks? AND then I was like...I have a set of center disks available because I was fool enough to sell off a few "extra" cant disks from a second board kit! Dumbass! So, as it turns out, I have some TD2 pucks. What price you wanna offer me for them? Let me know!
  4. The hardest part of trying a hard boot set up are the boots. So, do you happen to know your mondo point boot size? Street shoe size doesn't quite work the best at boot sizing. Best thing you can do is to trace your foot on a piece of paper and measure the longest point, from heel to longest toe in centimeters and...bang...you'll have you mondo point size! From there, people may chime in and say "Oh, I may have a pair of boots you could try/buy!" Hope this'll help!
  5. So, I'm thinking about jumping on the UPZ bandwagon, if I can find my size/the right size. I am currently riding with the black and white Deeluxe Track700 of a few years ago in a size 24.0mp with Dalbello Gold ID liners and BTS w/ yellow springs. I find that the heel hold is good, but the toe box area is huge! My feet are swimming in them to the point that I have to physically pull my foot back into the heel pocket just before I transition to the next turn! It's the weirdest thing. I've been riding the AF600TST and the Suzukas for a long, long time and don't recall this sensation! Did Deeluxe widen the toe box of the Track700? I have had my Dalbello liners probably close to 10 years now, and have molded them a number of times. For one, I'm thinking my liners need replacing as it seems they cannot hold a mold any longer...thoughts? Anyways, for those that have done this switch from AF600TS/Suzuka/Indy/Track700 to UPZ RC10/11/12, did you stay the same mondo point size or did you go down a size? If I recall, my feet measure 24.4 on my left foot and 24.1 on my right foot. And what are the main differences between the RC10, RC11 and RC12? And what are the difficulties of running 23mp or 24mp UPZ boots in TD2/TD3 step ins? Thanks all! Bring on winter!
  6. So, I'm thinking about coming out to attend the Montucky Event! Sounds too good to pass up if I can get the funds together! I was wondering how the crowds are going to be at Schweitzer Mt on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday before the Montucky Event! I have some skier friends that have been out to Schweitzer. And knowing how I ride, they tell me that I'd love Schweitzer! I worry, or am nervous about riding there as I've heard it's steep! And I'm not very good on steep groomers! Let me know!
  7. That's exactly what I was thinking/wondering about! I've always done the oven method one way or another. I was just thinking that this rice method would be an easy way to do moldings. Just wasn't sure how thoroughly it would heat up the whole liner!
  8. I have some gear that might work pretty well. I'm a short, small footed, lightweight carver/rider and I have some older, but still very functional boots, bindings and a board! I have a pair of Raichle SB-323 boots in M24. I also have a pair of Deeluxe Suzuka boots in M24, but these may not be the right boot starting out. I have some Snopro Race LTD bindings that may be a good, easy going binding. And lastly, I have a Hot Shine 154 that is a hoot to ride! I think the waist is around 20cm, so binding angles can be set up fairly mellow with M24 boots! Let me know if any of this gear would be of interest! We'd be talking a screamin' deal ( I think! ) ! ? Jeff
  9. I was just wondering if anyone has fitted their heat moldable liners using Intuition Liners direction (see link below)? https://intuitionliners.com/fitting/home-fitting-instructions/
  10. Try reaching out to www.yyzcanuck.com to see if they have info on Gecko products as they list them on their website!
  11. I was wondering if anyone had some UPZ RC-10/RC-11 boots in a size 24.0mp that they are thinking about selling! Let me know!
  12. Jesus Jack! That thing is narrow! Even by my standards! Liftline comments would funny if my short ass were riding a 196! hahaha
  13. I'm curious daveo, where are you located? Where di you get your liners? And most importantly, where can I get them?
  14. I'm curious, what liners are you using? I am in need of new liners myself for the upcoming season! I'm leaning towards the Intuition Powerwrap liners, but would like recommendations from others!
  15. So, to add a bit of recap and thanks for responding! I have molded them quite a few times in a number of different shell types: AF600TS, SB323, Suzuka and Track700. And yes, the Dalbello Gold ID liners are made by Intuition, and looking at the liners, they do look like the Power-wrap liners. I think I'm fairly lucky in that my feet are fairly normal, middle of the road feet. Not flat foot or high arch, not wide or narrow. I think my foot shape would be best in the SB shells, but I want to say I remember heel slip in the SB shells. Maybe not, not sure as I generally have gravitated towards the AF shells most of the time. I do use an Instaprint Footbed. I don't tend to have heel hold issues. Just have been noticing in the last few seasons more forefoot slop. Question during the molding process, how tight do you buckle the buckles? Cranked down? Ride tight? Or loosely buckled? It's funny, and a bit off topic, but I ride differently when riding in SB shells and AF shells. Anyone ever notice different ride characteristics in different shell?
  16. Not quite a "heard in the lift line" but still pretty good I think! So, I was at Ragged Mountain in New Hampshire riding up the six pack with 5 skiers. It was soon after one of our n'easters that we got in March, conditions were really great! Lift lines were long, but trails were pretty much wide open! From the conversations by the 5 skiers, it sounded like they were all locals to Ragged. So I asked them if the crowds that particular Saturday(the busiest day of the week, if you ask me!) were of the normal busy day and they were saying it doesn't get this crowded normally! So I said that is great news for me as the type of snowboarding that I do, I use a lot of the terrain going across the fall line and crowds and carving don't quite go well together! So, from the end of the chair, this woman practically yells " YOU'RE THAT GUY!!!" And I go, "it depends, is it good or bad!" Then she says" Are you the guy that's been draggin' his elbows and hips in the snow on every turn? It's so pretty to watch! You make it look effortless! Keep up the good work!" I proceeded to say thank you and grin from ear to ear!
  17. So, I believe it's time to retire my Dalbello Gold ID Liners (Intuition made) as I have a ton of foot slop/foot movement in my keyfob sized 24.0 Deeluxe Track 700 boots. I have a question for fellow Intuition Liner users. What model liners are you using/would you recommend? Can anyone tell me if the Deeluxe Track 700 boots are wider in the toebox than lets say my older Suzuka boots? Or my AF600TS boots before my Suzukas? Thanks in advance for any info and/or recommendations!
  18. I truly wish that I had the business savvy, capital and mechanical know-how to keep Bomber Industries alive! It truly is unfortunate the demise of Catek a number of years ago and now we are losing Bomber too. A troubling time for our beloved alpine community! Luckily, "we" have salvaged the Forum/Carving Community. I hope something good will come of this situation!
  19. I finally have something to post on this thread! My new toy arrived on the first day of winter! I can't wait to get it on real snow! It's a Coiler Nirvana Balance 172 w/ a 19cm waist!
  20. Well Dr, I have a pair of Burton Boiler boots that I bought back in the summer of 2000. They were left over stock at the time, so I'm thinking they are anywhere in the 1995-2000 time frame. I used them only during the 00-01 season, so they are in decent shape for their age. The buckles are micro-adjustable, has a Velcro strap, a 3-position forward lean adjustments and the cuff cants are adjustable. They are a size 25mp, so make an offer if interested.
  21. Careful Jack, my experience with the Track325(my old SB323 boots) ankle pivots were that they self destructed far worse/easier than my AF 600/Suzuka/Track700 ankle pivots! Granted, I have not ridden the newer Track225/325/425, so perhaps they have remedied the problem. Also keep in mind that you are probably a more aggressive rider than me and get to ride more too.
  22. Sort of OT, but not really...I was at a local snowboard shop taking a look at what the freeride group has to offer. As I do, I had mentioned that I was a hard booter just looking at freeride gear, he looked at me and said " I'm not sure if I even know how to sell something to you"! As we continue to talk, I decide to try on some boots to kill some time. We started to talk about what ski areas we go to and we both mention Bretton Woods, which is my local haunt, and out of the blue he blurts out " Hey guys this is the guy that drags his face in the snow up at Bretton Woods!!!" I guess that's a compliment!
  23. Hey Pilot they're all yours as I had to back out of buying them.
