  1. Hey Weasel, I've been wanting to ask you a few questions about Sunday River. Hope you don't mind. First off, we met thru Bob Jenney at the Warren Miller flick. I was just curious where you ride at Sunday River? I'm sure You'd be riding trails that I'm not really capable of riding yet! What trails are good for an intermidiate carver? The main reason that I am curious is that I just scored a pass at Sunday River/Attitash and I'm hoping to spend some time there this winter. Thanks for any info!
  2. Hey Doug, I'll tell ya what, I haven't purchased any new boots quite yet. The day after Christmas, I'm going to the Starting Gate to try on the LaMans boots, but as soon as I get new boots, I'll be in touch. Will that be OK?
  3. Hey everyone! I was just curious if anyone would be interested in a pair of AF600TS in a size 24.0? Thay currently have the Thermo-flex liner that has been molded only once( out of 7 times) I was thinking about getting a pair of the Deeluxe LaMans boot. Depending on where I buy them will depend on the liner that I get. If I get them thru BOL which come with the Thermo-flex liner, my 600s would go with the thermo-flex liner. And if get them at the Starting Gate which are sold with the standard liner, I'd keep the Thermo-flex liner and the 600s would be sold with brand new standard liners. Price would be give or take $100.00?
  4. Thanks everyone for the responses and info! I have a question for you Pat ( but anyone else can respond, please! )! As it turns out from the link that you included, I had stopped in at Jack Frost Ski Shop in Jackson, NH. We took out my current footbeds and we noticed that they developed a twist!?! The outer part of the heels are twisted upward. Is this a normal circumstance for us carvers or just poor materials used? And should I reuse these footbeds? Shaggy and CMC, thanks the info on the Starting Gate. I called them and they do have the LaMans boots in my size, but the don't come with the Thermo-Flex liners. I do think that I might go to the Starting Gate the day after Christmas the try them on and check out the liners that come with them. Shaggy, thanks for the invite to ride with ya, but I know that I'm incapable of hangin' with the boys of Stratton! ncermak, thanks for the info on Bob Skinners! If I get a chance, I think I'll stop in and ask a few questions! Hey Scott, do you know if Bill's Wilderness has a Raichle boot oven to mold the Thermo-Flex liners?
  5. I was wondering what are some good trails at Sunday River for carving, keeping in mind that I'm definately not great at carving! How is the grooming there? And how are the crowds there on the week-ends? I just scored one of the Sunday River/Attitash passes so I have the opportunity to visit the River this winter! Happy trails
  6. Hey all you Boston area carvers! I'm thinking about buying a new pair of Raichles, opps sorry, DEELUXE LaMans boots with the Thermo-flex liners thru BOL! Can anyone tell me where I can get a good, custom footbed and have my thermo-flex liners molded properly? Preferably a shop with the Raichle ovens. And how much will this cost me around here? When I was at last years SES, I had my AF600TST liners molded and custom footbeds made and installed for $130.00 at the Racers Edge in Breckenridge. Thanks and happy trails!
  7. If you go to The Bomber Store, there is an explanation on their situation. Basically, the name changed to Deeluxe and Bomberonline will be selling them! AF700: Indy AF600: Suzuka SB423: LaMans Good Luck!
  8. Hey Jeff, I would have to agree with Bob on the work that Mike D. at PTC does on boards. His attention to details is Second to none! Again, Framingham is a little out of your way, but worth the trip. The only other shop that has touched any of my alpine boards has been Egon Zimmerman in Nashua. Stephan is a real nice guy to deal with and the work that his shop does is very respectful. Hope this helps
  9. Hey Eathan, All I can say is that my buddy has a Volkl Renntiger 168GS that he loves and he is just about your size. So I would start on the 02 Speed 68 or the Ultra Prime 68 I've heard are very good boards. Good luck and happy trails
  10. It's the waist width that separates the two boards. The FC1 has an 18 cm waist and the FCII has a 19.5 cm waist.
  11. Hey boys & girls! I find that I love the sound of a well executed carve ( wether it is me railing around my friend or my friend railing around me! ). Plus, I like the idea of being able to here other people skiing/riding around me. Happy trails!
  12. Hey Bob & Fin! Very nice bindings! I looked around in the Bomber Store, but I couldn't find a 2nd board kit! Am I looking in the wrong area or is it something that is still in the works? I may be getting two new boards this season and I may be buying a set of TD2 ( Bob has been pestering me hahaha ) so I may want a 2nd board kit. Happy trails Jeff
  13. Hey! I just turned 36 last Monday! What should I buy myself for my birthday? A new Donek? Or some new Olympic step-ins? or maybe a set of TD2? The list keeps getting longer and longer, doesn't it? Or is it just me!?! Happy trails!
  14. Hey Dean! Howz it goin? I've got an RT 158 SL being tuned up as we speak that has I'm guessing about 15 days on it! I'm torn on if I should sell it or not! It's such a great, lively board with tons of life left in it! What kind of price range are you looking at? Let me know if you are interested! Happy trails
  15. My favorite board is my Donek FC163. Very fun board to ride! I'll have to demo something else though, huh?
  16. Goofy is as Goofy does! If I wrote/batted/golfed, I'd be lefty! But I'm too stupid to write, not talented enough to play baseball and not pompous or bored enough to play golf!
