  1. Hey Neil, I'm doing everything in my power to try and make it out there! So at this point, count me in for one! How & when would we pay for our lift ticket? Thanks, Jeff
  2. I just tweeked my back this morning!!!...that's my story and I'm stickin' to it :) I'll see if I can make up there!
  3. Hey Neil, How are things shaping up for this event? Have you decided on which ticket price option to go with? How do you think the crowds are going to be this time of year at Mammoth/June? Jeff
  4. Can anyone tell me their theories on how good the conditions will be at Vail, Beaver Creek & Breckenridge during Easter week, April 16th thru April 22nd 2006? Will these areas still be open at this time of year? Are there any opportunities to find discount lift tickets? I may have stumbled across a time share at Vail that I might not be able to pass up. Thanks for any input! Jeff
  5. I've ridden with Bob, John, Geoff & Ben on many a trail! It'll be interesting to see how I fair riding with the crew.
  6. I here ya on the tree thing! I had a run in with a tree earlier this season...the tree won! Luckily for me nothing broken, but my ego. I'm a little gun-shy of heel-side turns this season because it was my right thigh/front leg(goofy) that took the brunt of the impact. And my confidence is down a bit, so I'm a little leary about the whole group ride thing too. We'll see.
  7. I've got some bad news for you guys, the crappy carver will be there to slow you guys up! :) I'm in too.
  8. Womens' events are tomorrow night, Thursday the 23rd!
  9. Well, I belong to a ski club up in North Conway, and I should be up there almost every week-end. As I say, Bretton Woods is my usual haunt. It is by no means difficult, but the grooming is gooood, the snow is goood and the lack of crowds on a week-end is very goood! But I've been known to go elsewhere too.
  10. Well, I don't know if this would interest you, but being a short guy, my quiver tends to be on the short end of the spectrum! I ride in NH, mostly at Bretton Woods, and I tend to bring a few boards with me to the mountain. Let's see here, I have: Hot Shine 154 Madd 158 Volkl Renntiger 158SL Prior 4WD 159 Donek FC-1 163 Donek RC167GS And Plus, there is a group of carvers that go up to Sunapee on Thursdays that are from the Greater Boston/North Shore/Metro West area. Great bunch of guys! So if any of that interests you, drop me a line! And again...welcome!
  11. Are we thinking that the Seahawks are going to win the Super-bowl or the Steelers? Dang I hope the Seahawks CRUSH The Steelers! Go Hawks!!!
  12. ...if my leg/knee every gets better before the end of the season, I may have to take you up on that offer! I've always liked the way the Silberpfeils looked and the specs sound good to me! Thanks!
  13. ...I've noticed how many of you are talking about how soft the Silberpfiels' are. Now, I'm 5'4" tall ( or short! :) ) and 145 pounds and am, i think, an aggressive carver. I've been thinking about getting the 172. How do you guys think this board would suit me? Happy trails!
  14. I too took the quiz and came up with interesting results! 1)Ogden, UT 2)Provo-Orem, UT 3)Fort Collins, CO 4)Great Falls, MT 5)Boise, ID 6)Idaho Falls, ID 7)Salt Lake City, UT 8)Colorado Springs, CO 9) Loveland, CO 10)Cheyenne, WY I thought New England was a pretty good place to be but I guess I'm movin' to the Rocky Mountains!
  15. I've seen these Lib Tech boards at Summit Ski & Snowboards, where PTC is located, so I know that it's a wavy edge! Imagine the drag if the edges were indeed serrated!!
  16. My question is this: How much of a pain in the arse is this serrated edge going to be to tune?

  18. I'm with Randy! My guess is Cranmore.
  19. I'll be 38 in just a few weeks! Maybe I should go to Summit County, CO for my birthday, eh? Why is everybody giving their occupation...it's not part of the poll! Anyway, I is a technician!
  20. I've been snowboarding since March 97, hardbootin' since March 00! I'm averaging about 30+ days a year...and I'm still just the terminal intermidiate! You'd think I'd be better at this, eh? Oh well, I'm havin' fun anyway!!
  21. ...supposedly, this is the most snow in October in recorded history!
  22. ...in the high country here too on the east coast!!! 34" fell on Sunday night/ Monday morning on Mt Washington!!!! http://www.mountwashington.org/
  23. Any decision on a new motorcycle for you yet? If I remember correctly, you were thinking about a Monster 620. Great bikes those Ducatis! My friend has a '00 Monster 900 that he loves! Call me biased, but I love my SV650S! And who knows, maybe in a few weeks, I'll have myself a new SV1000S! We'll see what happens!
  24. Hey Jon Dahl, I found a dealer in Ohio that has a red one! If the price is right, I thinking about flyin out there and riding it back home here in Massachusetts! Should be a fun ride through PA/NY/CT/MA! I love my 01 SV650S, so I'm thinking the SV1000S should be SWEET!
  25. Jack, that is the article that I was thinking about when I posted this topic! I know that there are plenty of rider/racers out there and was curious how others break in their new toys. My theory, which may be wrong, is to ride the bike the way I normally ride. Which is to say, not very aggressively.
