  1. Looks like I have to put this on hold as a family affair has arisen. Really would like to make this work, but may not happen this year...we'll see...
  2. Looks like I'll have to put my plans on hold as a family affair has arisen. I so want to do this!! A back up plan would be a wise idea! Thanks
  3. Are there any ways to get discount lift tickets to, let's say, Beaver Creek? Anyone every been to Ski Cooper in Leadville? Is there any such thing as cheap Cat skiing...that has mellow terrain?
  4. I've heard of this service, but never looked into what it was until today. I have found some intriguing/interesting lodging options that might work with my trip out west on a shoestring budget. I'm just not quite sure how it works?
  5. Hey, anyone ever use airbnb? I have found some interesting lodging options on the cheap in Dillon/Silverthorne, but I have never used it. Barely just heard of it.
  6. That's messed up! How do you adjust, but more importantly, how do you secure the toe/heel pieces once adjusted?
  7. You got me Mario! So, maybe I'm not a complete hack of a carver, but the steeps give me fits! Have you heard a weather forecast for next week?
  8. Since I'm not happy with our conditions here on the east coast, thinking/dreaming about flying into Denver to do some riding...somewhere. On a shoestring budget...what area has the best carving/grooming bang for the buck? Might fly into Denver either Monday 2/29 and fly back home Friday 3/4 or Monday 3/7 and flying home Friday 3/11. So Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday riding. Also, good carving terrain for a timid, intermediate hack of a carver(me!) with very poor riding technique. Do I need to rent an SUV? Let me know...
  9. I am thinking of throwing caution to the wind and taking most of the month of March to ski/ride all (14?) ski areas/resorts in Utah! I am planning on bringing a pair of skis and a board or two. As few boards as possible. I have a pair of Snopro Race LTD bindings that I plan on using that will accommodate my First Degree ski boots that I have. So I have my boots and my bindings figured out. What board/s to bring? I have a Donek Incline 160, a Prior 4WD 159 and my Donek RC167GS that are my ideas for boards to choose between. So, should I avoid any and/or all areas on a Saturday? How are crowds on a Sunday? I would rather take weekends off to travel from one area to another, but I may end up having to burn a weekday to rest/recover/travel. Not optimum, but maybe necessary. My first week seems easy! I was thinking of heading north out of SLC and riding Beaver, Cherry Peak, Nordic Valley, Snowbasin and Pow Mow! From here is gets a little tricky on how to coordinate the remaining 7/8 ski areas depending on how the crowds are on Saturdays and Sundays. Then travel down south on Saturday to hit Brian Head on Sunday and Eagle Point on Monday. Travel back up north on Tuesday so that I can ski at Deer Valley on Wednesday, the Canyons on Thursday and Park City on Friday. Saturday off to rest! From there, Sundance on Sunday, Snowbird on Monday, Alta on Tuesday, Solitude on Wednesday and finish my trip at Brighton on Thursday! And then fly home on Friday! What do you think!
  10. That's some crazy Sh!t! I've never seen boots do that...I've heard of people talk about it...but never seen it!
  11. I think I know what OhD might be wondering. Is there any new products or goodies that Bomber might be working on?
  12. Doesn't Bomber sell a replacement toe bail assembly? http://bomberonline.3dcartstores.com/Ibex-Toe-Assembly_p_40.html Would this work?
  13. I just went to it and it is still there for me
  14. Anyone going to Okemo on Saturday, February 27th for Bomber Outfitters Demo Day?
  15. I have owned the AF600TST, Deeluxe Suzuka and currently the Deeluxe Track700T over the years. The cuff cant mechanism is far superior on these boots than they are on the SB series boots. Now, I'm a lighter rider, so maybe my last statement might not be agreed upon by others on the forum! I have only had one AF series inner cuff cant break on me over the 10+ years of riding the AF boots. But I've had to replace/epoxy numerous inner and outer cuff cants on the SB series boots in the 5+ years riding them. I just wish someone, whether it was Deeluxe that updated the cuff cant mechanism with some metal goodies, or an aftermarket party came out with a more durable option.

Sorry to hear about your friend @ MGH. I hope all will be ok. I didn't realize that next week was Feb Vacation week! Wednesday will not be 2 for 1, nor will there be the following day for $50. I am on a tight budget, so, I will have to dig around for any discounts. If I find something, I will try to make it up!
  17. Next week...that makes more sense. Wish I could attend!
  18. I've thought about getting some X-Ice tires. A winter tire that has a 40K warrantee!
  19. I've been doing some research on what tires I would like to get for my VW. I have to replace my Hakka R tyres due to premature sidewall separation...which I'm very disappointed in as I they only have 3 winters on them??? I've had the Dunlop Winter Sport 3D years ago and was very happy with them. So was thinking about trying out the Dunlop Winter Sport 4D. Not a bad price on tirerack either. Also thinking about trying out the Nokian WRG3, seeing that most of my driving is on dry pavement, mostly. Then I came across a new tire that is in the All-weather rated class. It's the Toyo Celsius Tire! It's got the Mountain Snowflake rating, 60K mile warrantee and H-rated speed rating. All good so far. The only drawbacks is it is only a standard side load rating and doesn't come in my tire size. Anyone have these Toyo tires yet?

My favorite trails @ BW is Zealand off of Rosebrook, Crawford's Blaze and Granny's Grit(when it's open & groomed) off of Zephyr, Jacob's Ladder and Oscar Barron's off of West. But, I'm a bit bias as I love all of the groomed trails @ BW, even though it's a flat mountain! Still a boatload of fun! The 18th you say...maybe I'll join you. Wednesday Feb 17th is a 2 for 1 day! Every Wednesday is a 2fer!
  21. Great story! Keep 'em coming! If you want a decent tune before you head to ECES, I'd recommend The Speed Factory in Campton, NH right off 93 @ exit 28. Unless of course you know of a good shop. Or maybe there is a good shop over in the Stratton area. Keep on craving the carve!
  22. I got an 04 Madd 158 for sale! $375 shipped. Or, depending on where you're located, I could deliver...
  23. Sorry man, I'm hoping to get myself a new Coiler! Thanks for the offer.
