  1. Kinpa, Nope, not really looking for a big resort type place. Close to Helena and cost effective. Have you ever been to Great Divide? And would I be better off with an alpine board or a freeride board? Thanks again!
  2. So, work may be shipping me out to Helena, MT for the 2nd week of March! What are going to be some good carving mountains near Helena? I probably won't be able to ride during the week, so I'd have to be a week-end warrior. How would the crowds be on any given week-end? Thanks for any advice!
  3. Yeah, the legs are screamin' at me now after 2 days out there. But with this big storm barreling down on us tonight, I hope my legs can muster up enough energy for one more day! Back on subject, I didn't think it'd be a big deal. Just thought I'd throw it out there.
  4. If you can believe it, I'm getting out for the first time in 2 seasons this week-end! So I'm going through my gear to make sure everything is together and all tightened up and ready to go. Happen to take a look at my boots/BTS and the springs caught my eye. I've noticed that the yellow coating has been chipping off of the springs over the course of who knows how long I've had my BTS on my boots. I think they are from the first year that Fin introduced the BTS. Anyways, getting side-tracked, but today I noticed that the springs are starting to rust. Are the springs supposed to be replaced due to age/wear? Has anyone out there replaced their springs because of this? Has anyone re-dipped the springs in that tool-dip type stuff? Just curious!
  5. Naw, it won't ruin the liners if used before "cooking"! I went almost a whole season before I got around to molding my liners. If your boots/liners are the right size though, they may be very uncomfortable to ride in. I know mine were before cooking them.
  6. I've always been curious about my stance width, wondering if it was too wide or not. Right now it's at 18.5". So I'm 5'4"(64"/3.5=18.29) and my inseam is 28"(28" x 0.6=16.8) 18.29+16.8=35.09. And 35.09/2=17.55. Interesting, could I be an inch too wide?
  7. Well, I just did a little rummaging. As it turns out, I found only one 5 position lean adjuster. But I also found a set of single position adjusters. Your pick!
  8. If I look real hard, I think I should have a set in storage somewhere if you are still looking for a set. Let me know!
  9. It all depends on if you plan on buying boots with Thermoflex liners. Thermoflex liners, which would come standard in the Deeluxe boots that Bomber sells, can accomodate almost up to a cm in foot size. So, if your left foot measures 25.5 centimeters long and your right foot measures 25.8 cm, go with the 25mp boots. Altough I am in a 24mp boot, technically, I should be in a 23mp boot because my foot measures 23.5 cm long. Not to be a pain, but I disagree with this statement. Your mondo point IS you cm, or vise versa.
  10. Amen to that brother!! Warm Springs has some interesting light too!
  11. I'm sure you'll get alot of very positive feedback about the bootfitters at The Starting Gate which is up at Stratton Mountain!
  12. I have a brand new, never used or mounted RAB. I have no use for it as I am using the BTS. I bought quite a while ago and never got around to trying it. Think of an offer and let me know!
  13. So, if a guy was 150 pounds, sans equipment, not overly aggressive and dare I say a smooth rider that doesn't break equipment, would I be okay on the Snopro Race LTD bindings? How are canting/lifting achieved on the Snopros and F2 bindings?
  14. I too have a brand new set! I think it's even in my car at the moment!
  15. So, I'm generalizing here a bit. But, the TD2/3 bindings seem to attract the recreational carvers. As does the OS1/2. The F2 bindings are one of the choices of the racers out there. As is the Burton/Ibex and Phiokka bindings. And yes I know there are a fair amount of rec. carvers out there on these bindings too. My question is where do the Snopro Race LTD bindings fit into the picture? What are peoples opinions of the Snopro bindings?
  16. I'm a little reluctant about shipping to Canada only because I've never shipped anything north of the border. Can anyone give advice on who would be the best carrier to use and are there any hidden charges or duties/taxes that I need to be aware of?
  17. I lowered the price to $325 shipped. Anyone interested?
  18. I have a Donek FC175 with the Olympic core up for sale. It was made in Nov 2005 for Mike Tovino who in turn sold it to me in Sept 2007. I am the 2nd owner. Mike had given this board some serious lovin' by giving it a PTC tune, now known as SkiMd, by Mike DeSantis. Since I have purchased it, this board has been ridden about 12 days in 07 and not at all last year. So the PTC tune is mostly in tact. This board has all it's camber and a ton of lively life left in it. With the more readily available used metal boards for sale here on BOL, I'm a bit out of touch on what a fair price will be for a fiberglass board. I'd love to get around $325 or best offer, shipped, but I know ya'll BOL'ers are bargain basement shoppers when it comes to buying used equipment. So, send me an e-mail through BOL with what you'd like to spend and we'll go from there. I would prefer paypal too, if possible.
  19. Hey Jack, isn't the picture you are referring to Ear Draggers' Avatar?
  20. The Lufkin, Texas, man told of driving his luxury, French-built Bugatti Veyron when the bird distracted him, said La Marque police Lt. Greg Gilchrist. The motorist dropped his cell phone, reached to pick it up and veered off the road and into the salt marsh. NICE!
