  1. Not so fast Daytona Boy! We need to get Todd Brown to make an apperence! But in his absence, I'll have to be the residing Donek Whore! :) Oh, and Geoff, do you think you can keep your heel receivers on your BINDINGS this time?;)
  2. Steph, Thanks for molding my new liners and for the tips! Cross my fingers, I didn't have any shin issues all week-end! Alex, Eric & Paul thanks for showing me around @ Stratton! I had a great time and hope to ride again @ Stratton sometime soon! Jeff
  3. I am, at minimum, going to have my liners remolded into my SB323. But, seeing that my liners are the liners from about 3-4 season ago that had the neoprene in the toebox area, I've found that the neoprene does not hold it's molded shape. The toebox that I had molded into my liners a few years ago doesn't exist any more, now my toes are freezing this season! I'm done with that! So I am considering trying the Intuition liners, or possibly the Dalbello Gold liners. Although my gut would tell me to go with the Dalbello Silver liners. But the Starting Gate doesn't have the Silve liners on hand. I'd love to get new boots too...but that is a whole other fiasco waiting to happen! Babble, babble, babble! Jeff
  4. Hi guys, I will be at Stratton on Friday & Saturday. I won't be making first chair on Friday though as I will be getting new liners at the Gate. Hope to make a few runs! Jeff
  5. Alex, I will be riding on Friday & Saturday. I will be running late on Friday as I am going to The Starting Gate to have some boot work/buy new liners. Hope to see you guys Saturday morning.
  6. Thanks Steph, That's an incredible offer of generosity/hospitality! Hope to see you at the Gate on Friday! Jeff
  7. Hi everyone, I was just wondering how the crowds are at Stratton on the week-ends? I have this Friday off! I want/need to do some boot work at The Starting Gate. Should I do my boot work on Friday or Saturday? And does anyone know of a cheap place to stay on a Friday night? Thanks for any insight!
  8. Hey Dave, Any idea if Deeluxe would be working on a more durable canting mechanism for the SB/Track 325/225?
  9. Hey Mike, How's it going? I have a few questions for you. For the out-of-towners/east coast travelers, do you have any ideas on some cost effective lodging and is it neccessary to have a rental car? Is there any type of transportation/bus lines from the mountain to Bend and vise versa? Thanks!
  10. I've seriously been thinking about OES! Yeah, I guess pink is not my color! Best of luck selling your boards! Flipper? I just got my new Donek Metal today!!! WOO & HOO! I posted a picture of it on the Metal Mania thread! Random thoughts! Must be late!
  11. I'll Let you know Monday as I just got her today! Can't wait!
  12. Hey Rebecca, What's going on over there?? You're selling off some pretty sweet boards? A narrowed Prior Metal? A Coiler Metal??? What gives? You know I'm only a few pair of boots heavier than you? Very, very tempting! :) I'm assuming those pics were taken at Snowbasin? Ahhhh Snowbasin!!!!
  13. *Ace*, I probably should thank you for the idea for my top-sheet graphic as it is not one of the stock Donek Metal top-sheet options! I believe you were the one who posted a picture of diamond plate on a previous thread that gave me the idea for my top-sheet! Thanks Man!
  14. Thanks Jack! Can't wait to ride it!
  15. It's a Donek 172 GS Metal! 172cm long 156cm effective edge 18.5cm waist 23.0cm tip & tail width, no taper 13.5m scr Topsheet graphic by Steve Fleck See how it rides this week-end!
  16. It may depend on the manufacturer of the bindings. I run Intec heels and my early/late season board has Catek World Cup bindings on it and the pins on the Intec heels don't get in the way.
  17. So, either I'm doing something wrong, or I'm the anomoly(sp) here. My feet measure 24.1 & 24.4 and I am wearing a 24mp Raichle SB323 and used to have AF600. Both with Thermos. Feet are/were snug in these boots. I also had a pair of Head Stratos in a 23.5 that my feet froze in because my toes were jammed into the toebox.
  18. First off, great selection of tunes man! These are tips that some of my friends have told me to try over the years. It appears you are carving regular, so on a heelside turn, look uphill and try to keep both of your hands in front of you so that you can see your right hand in your paripheral vision. Next, in a heelside turn, with your right hand, start out by trying to touch your lead/left knee. And as each heelside turn comes and goes, try reaching lower. Next turn, try reaching for the upper part of the lead/front/left boot cuff, and so on and so forth. What this will hopefully do is to get you to feel the pinch in the waist and more importantly lowering you center of gravity which will increase edge hold. Hopefully, I am correct in my explanation and this will help out! And if I am not correct there wil be no shortage of people correcting me! :)
  19. Welcome to my world! Bob Jenney calls my boots "key fobs"! Size 24mp on TD2 are a bit of a pain, if you tinker or move you bindings from board to board. Looks like the cool thing about the TD3 is if you do not tinker with your cant/lift, you can easily move your whole bindings from board to board without moving your toe/heel blocks. Right?
  20. I voted stiffness. I agree with philfell. I'm not light for my size, but I'm not heavy either. I'm 5'4' tall and 150 pounds without my gear on, so I'm always keeping the boards stiffness as one of my main concerns. Granted at my ability level, I probably could ride almost any board out there. (Now, don't take that last statement out of context! I'm not saying that I'm an awesome carver, which I don't think I am. I'm just saying that I hold my own, at times!) But that doesn't mean that I want to be fighting the board either. Just my two pesos!
  21. Hey BMJ, Any chance you can snap a picture of the sole of the Fin-tec heels? I'm curious to know what the heel material is and how durable it'll be. Thanks! Oh, and by the way, sweet set-up!
  22. Stupid question: Spring break falls in the month of March, right? Towards the end of the month, right? Summit County is a great place to be!!! Beaver Creek is a great mountain! Copper Mountain, another great option! Oh, can't forget about Keystone at night, if still operating their night program that time of year! I've never been to Loveland, but hopefully one of these years! And last but not least : A-Basin!! Choices, choices, choices!! You'll have a blast!
  23. Oh Yeah Geoff, that is a sweet ride! Both the bike and the board!!!
  24. Yeah...it doesn't have a Geoffism..."What the WTF?" :)
