  1. I have seen these on several used pairs of Upz. I just got some Upz last year ( not ridden yet) and am interested in the progressive flex type of thing might happen with the springs. I have used the google to try to find and found someone maybe in Europe who seemed affiliated but they won't answer my emails. Anyone know what is up with this? Or have some they want to sell. Thanks.
  2. I was looking for a pair of these forever. But I only want the right boot for $100???? Just kidding. Long time since carving days in the Butt. Are you out of hard boots for real? I still may want these even though I broke down and bought new Upz last year.
  3. Glad you did. I am about to remove some heels to try to switch over and install to some new UPZs. Haven't had New New boots since.....fack......Burton was still making them. But I have mined the depths of eBay and used here so that there are no more Fire boots in 28.5 left on this spinning stone. I have three good left boots, but no right ones.
  4. Sorry that you can't listen to music without being distracted. Do you always leave the music off in your car too? Riding for years with headphones or a headset. I don't watch movies while riding......just on the chairlift. Not everyone knows the path to Milkland.....or the gems of Sun Valley.
  5. The Mens and Womens downhill courses in Snowbasin are a carving playground as well. I never did a really gnarly downhill but I have run an easy one a few times. I snapped the toe piece of Burton race plates in half landing off of one of the jumps. It didn't break off completely it just sheared in half. I was able to hold my toe down enough to limp down the course. Never got hurt. Was clocked at 75 on the face. Also have run quite a few Super Gs on Baldy in Sun Valley. Mostly masters ski club races where I was the only snowboarder. Top to bottom 3,100 vertical in 2:43. I had my USSA card so they didn't care what was on my feet. Pretty fun really. You run a completely different line than the hard carve. I know the Town Downhill in Jackson did have a snowboard class. Never made it to that but would like to.
  6. That is fairly brilliant. I like the inner tube idea as well.
  7. I have some with photos on Facebook. Pretty nice Raichle in a size 30-30.5. https://www.facebook.com/groups/736314186478431/permalink/1819014858208353/?sale_post_id=1819014858208353
  8. All on the same lift ride - me riding a Coiler 180 with Td3 SI. "Do you snowboard too?" This is a snowboard. "Why aren't your feet side by side like most monoskis?" This is a snowboard. "So when you snowboard, what do you ride?" This is a snowboard. At that point I kind of gave up. I wasn't rude by any means, but he just wasn't comprehending that your average grocery getter and an Formula One Ferrari are still both cars.
  9. I have some Burton Plates. No idea what speed CC means. I have a couple of really fresh pairs. One pair that has been ridden a bit and and an older pair. I will try to dig them out if interested but off to the mountain soon. Will be out of touch most of the day.
  10. I have a 135 Burton Factory Prime in great shape with a fresh base grind. 1/1 edges. Currently has Burton race plates with almost no wear at all on them. My daughter is doing well on her 145 so this one can go. $200 for the setup. Race plates do not adjust down to size 22 boots FYI. $85 plus shipping for the board only. $125 for the plates.
  11. Wow. Targhee over Sun Valley.....??????? For carving??? Can I get some of what you been smoking brother? Help a carver out. I have had some great days at Targhee but carving at Sun Valley is truly like no other. Yesterday was Sunday and I had so many perfect groom runs with no one on them. Epic day, epic conditions....and no one there on a mid January Sunday. I would debate more but I have a 9 am appointment to keep.
  12. Can't help with much, but I absolutely recommend the step ins. Once I understood how the binding works and what it would take to come out of the binding I was sold. I broke about a dozen bails over the years. Had some bad releases too. Once in race course and took gates sliding into my thighs. That sucked. I never worry about releasing now. I still have some regular plates I ride in the powder some, but if I am carving hard it is in the SI binding. Oh I do have a belly to work around a little too, but that isn't why I would do it. You fat bastards need to do some yoga.

    TD3 SI

Forgot I had this up for sale.....not sure I will sell them now. Having a great start to the season here. I will let you know or pull the ad by tomorrow. Thanks.
  14. They probably couldn't find it. Just found out maps that don't have New Zealand on them are a thing??? Glad Bomber is back....
  15. Thanks Shred and Corey. Looks to be too small for me. I must have a size 30 shell. Can't find any definitive numbers or stamping on it anywhere. The cuff has something like 27-32.5 range on it. I'll keep shopping for a 29.
  16. Hello Shred. Upper cuff numbers look good but I don't have the sole length measurements stamped on my shells. I know yours are smaller but I am hoping they are 1 cm smaller and not 2 cm. Not to have you jump through hoops but any chance of you taking a photo by laying a ruler or tape measure along the bottom of the sole of the boot so I can compare. I want these and think they will work just want to make sure of size. Thanks.
  17. I agree Corey. That is why I would like to dibs these upon confirmation of price. I need to pull the shells I have apart but pretty sure up to 28,5 would work. Can't wait to unleash the Coiler......soon, my precious......
  18. I don't need the liners but curious what the shell range size is??? shell size range....mine english not gooder today.
  19. Hey Pat. I am one of those guys with a bit of titanium in me. Total hip in May of 2014. That went so well that I was tearing up the bumps and carving by January of 2015. I have had two acls on my right knee and it started to flare up in intense pain every good day that I had. One time it was so bad I almost went to the ER to manage the pain. So that was it. In May of 2015 I had the total knee on the right. Seven weeks later I led a 7 day wilderness class 4 high water river trip. It was my permit so I had to go right? It was still swollen and sore a bit in the soft tissue and I iced while on the river. My friends just wanted to drag me behind the boat, but I like the site specificness of using ice. I was able to snowboard pretty hard that first winter. Early in the year ( just six months post op) I hit a mountain bike trail at speed....and wasn't able to suck up all the compression. Did a long slow over the nose and stretched everything out pretty good, but I recovered pretty quick. In 2016-2017 I felt like I was really there physically and this last winter I completely forgot about it. I can still feel something in my left hip that I had the hip done on long heel side traverses More of a weird burn than pain. I spend a lot of time in the bumps this last winter and rocked it pretty good. I try to hike and bike all summer and fall and I am back in the gym in the fall for more weight type PT. The biggest thing this last winter that worked was lots and lots of stretching and a foam roller. Particularly on the IT bands. I had some knee cap tracking issues in the new knee and as painful as the foam roller was to start it completely eliminated that pain. Keep up the PT and see you on snow this winter.
  20. Thanks Chris. That was a strange time for me, but I was riding pretty well.
  21. Picked these up for backups and the heels. The heels are NOT on the boots anymore. They have a standard heel. Can be SI again. $75 plus shipping. Pretty sure the liner is a 29. Too soft for me since I am running in the Clydesdale class. I do have pics but they won't upload.....
