Take some pics and host them online (I use photobucket). They will go a long way to getting help/selling them. Shots of any suspected damage and the specs as well as over all shots of the whole setup and closer ones of the bindings would be great too. Let me know if you need help.
I was looking at these on Ebay too. I was wondering how well they were constructed since they are in Spain and they're a pretty new company we don't know how their Customer service is. That being said, they seem to be asking used prices for new boards with free shipping and that is tempting. Although with the current exchange rate you can get a new custom Coiler for less.
That's part of the problem, other than randomly running into 2 other hardbooters last week I never get to ride with other carvers. If I make a couple hour drive I can make it up to Dingbat's place but it's not practical on a regular basis.
Hey guys. I'm looking for another board (who isn't) and am looking for suggestions. I ride Southern New England so think narrower icy trails (except this season). I heard metal boards tend to be a bit damper and cut through the ice and slop, any truth to that? I'm currently riding a Donek FC172 with Intec stepins. I have about 58 front and 55 back. I'm just looking for a starting point. I'd buy new but I only get to ride about 5-10 days a season and I'm not experienced enough to know exactly what I want.
Edit- I am looking at Coilers and was wondering what the verdict on OES is so far.
I'm thinking of a road trip to the Beast on this coming Tuesday. Anyone want to meet up? I have to leave by 3:30-4 to be home for Scouts but I'm willing to give it my all.
I go mid week when I'm home from the boat and I'd love to meet up with another carver. I might try to sneak a day in with the kids after Christmas but I leave again on the 30th.
Check with your home owners insurance provider. I run a paintball field and people playing on their own land are not covered by HO ins. Waivers are barely worth the paper they're printed on and the neighbors say they have no issues until the medical bills start rolling in. In that case their insurance may be coming after you irregardless of what their desires are. They will want to recoup their expenses from some one if possible, and that will end up being you.
What's the weight range of the Eliminator WC? I think the board is probably above my level of ability, how was it riding here in the North East? Have you tried it in hardboots?
I'm 43 and as I was reading this thread I was thinking how happy I was that this isn't happening to me (yet). Right up until I read rjnakat's post about climbing shoes. I tried mine on this summer after the raising the kids years and they were excruciating, I don't wear much else that's that tight to really tell but luckily for me I got my boots last winter so they should be good.
