  1. I'm home from the boat and the wait is over. Well except for the wait on my new binding to go with the board, I'm sure the storm slowed everything down. And now she's complete.
  2. Anyone going to have time weekdays next week? I have a new board I need to figure out but my weekends are booked.
  3. My Coiler showed up today but I'm on the boat until Wednesday. This is what she sent me.
  4. Well the exchange rate makes another Coiler a bargain. Mine got delivered today.
  5. Yeah boots seem to be the main sticking point. They can even try changing their binding angles on their normal setup just to get a taste.
  6. I'll be on the Mountain tomorrow 1/9 9-4 come say hi if you're on the hill.
  7. I'm not an expert but there should be a mark on the sole or side to show the center point.
  8. They're planning on opening Saturday the 2nd.
  9. Well Dan has them in sets with toes and hardware for $92 so how does $30 shipped for just the heels sound? Edit- I suspect you'll like the Td2s and the step ins. I ride short hill is the Northeast and really like the ease of removal.
  10. My daffodils and magnolia tree are starting to show buds. :'-( It's also 55* and raining.
  11. I have a brand new, never ridden pair. I took them off and put on my intec heels the day my boots showed up. I leave for a week tomorrow but could ship on the 31st.
  12. That ebay one includes the heels, that sweetens the pot a bit. Although if you need to get the 4 hole center disk it's probably a wash.
  13. Do you think I can fit 2 boards with bindings in the bag? If so I'll take it.
  14. The exchange rate with Canada is nuts right now, you can order a new custom Coiler and have it shipped and save about 33%. I buy gear that is better than I am so I can hopefully grow in to it so I'd buy the best quality you can swing so you get another 20 years out of it.
  15. I've seen the second one but those are both sweet.
  16. I'm looking more to make the knowledge searchable online. I'll still take all the education I can get but I'm looking to help new carvers find info more easily.
  17. I hope he's doing well, I'll really miss riding with him.
  18. With the last update at the www.alpinecarving.com coming about 8 years ago it's getting difficult for new carvers like myself to get up to date info or even beginner info on modern boards, boots, bindings and plates. We seem to have several threads going along these subject lines and consolidating them by subject might be a good idea. For example, plates. I have a very limited idea of what a plate is designed to do and what the functional differences between Gecko plates and K plates or the others. I understand that carving is a very technical sport (it's part of why I love it) but it is not an easily aquired knowledge when you're relying mainly on the internet. Making a searchable wiki with everything from the basics to advanced racing techniques would help us grow the sport we love so much. Any thoughts or ideas on the subject? Perhaps a newbies forum could be added? Let's hear some ideas.
  19. I just ordered a Coiler Stubby 172, the only problem is the late Dec estimated delivery.
  20. Let me know, my son's ski club is there on Fridays so I'll be going when I'm not on the boat.
  21. I should have clarified my point, they can still cross post as long as they make a proper sales thread here too. As in a thread with pics and specs of the board and a reasonable asking price. If it's on EBay then just pics and specs. Honestly I'd rather have a link thread than none at all.
  22. On my paintball site we don't allow a sales thread to be just a link. We have a separate section for them but I don't think We get the traffic here for that.
  23. The attached pics never show up right, I prefer photobucke. Even on my phone it's easy to use of you have some experience with a forum. Do we have automatic resizing, or are we going to start getting monster sized pics in BST?
