After having to cancel my 2020 build with Bruce due to not working, my Coiler Contra finally was built. Contra 166 x 19.5 x 10.5 scr. Based off of the 2020 build with added torsional stiffness per Bruce.
I talked to Chris Patterson (the Director of Photography who was at MCC) today and he said that “ MCC is certainly in the show. It’s a fun piece and a great way to introduce Noah Elliot”. (the adaptive rider who came with Chris).
Look for it in Theaters late November early December.
I think he’ll be starting production at the end of the month. …. At least that’s what he told me regarding my build. Until then, yes he’s golfing and riding his motorcycle.
Looking at the possibility of buying property in AK. Is there a carving scene anywhere in AK if so where, and which mountains are the best! I know 99% of people don’t go to AK for groomers, but we are odd ducks!
2003 YZ 125. Fast enough for me on a MX track but too slow in the desert! Thankfully I don’t ride much desert. First photo was taken the night I brought it home. It hit the dirt during the photo shoot! D’oh!!
Second photo is how she looks today!
Heading up to Mammoth, and riding Jan -6-8th. Hopefully testing some homemade powsurfs in that trip too! Maybe the Sherwins or June area if conditions are right!
Not sure if you’ve ridden a Thirst yet.... but DO NOT load the nose! She’ll boomerang out from underneath you and send you over the bars faster than you can imagine. Stay centered and find the boards working sweet spot. Being a nose loader myself it took some time to quite down my weight shifting Once I did this my Superconductor has quickly become my go to board. Mark’s boards are amazing and a joy to ride! ENJOY
You’ll love it! It was an extremely tough decision for me between this and the Superconductor. I ended up with the Super only due to its length and my bias toward a longer board. Hope to have Mark build me an SF in 2021
