  1. How are people feeling about this coming Sunday the 30th? Rachel is working all weekend and I'm off so I'm contemplating coming up to see you hooligans. I missed the 4pak deadline so I would need a buddy pass.
  2. Awesome man! It's been a great start for sure. That stubby will complement your proteus well. We are over in Eagle county now. Definitely hit me up if you head our way. I'll do the same.
  3. I swear. I'm sitting there planning my line and those two speed bumps perch up right on my drop in.
  4. Thanks Barry! Luckily my wife puts up with filming. The board is an angryy asym 163 long 23 wide with a stretched nose. It was pretty soft that day.
  5. I'll keep all my Gifs to one thread this season. These are from Beaver Creek today. Excuse the sloppiness on the carve-air-carve. I was going for amplitude.
  6. Planning on a nice soft carving day on Monday if anyone wants to join.
  7. I'll be riding Vail occasionally during the week this year so why not start a ride/meetup thread. We got up this past Friday and conditions were really nice for carving. Chalky snow and very few people. It was our first day, but after shaking the cobwebs loose we ended up having a great day. After this large storm this weekend I think there will be abundant carving to be had.
  8. The wife and I were able to get up on Sunday after 5" of fresh. The upper mountain with the au natural snow was great! I'm not sure where all the people were but they sure weren't riding with us. The lower mountain LOOKED good but was a little scratchy/firm from the manmade snow. It looks like good things are coming our way!
  9. Man awesome board! We actually moved 75 miles west of where we were, but we have plenty of room now! We are about 1.5 hrs from Loveland , but you wouldn't have to fight traffic coming from the west.
  10. Geez I sure do miss riding with y'all. I haven't even gotten a turn in this season. Hopefully Friday. I need to get a 4 pak in the next day or so and pick some good Sundays to head up.
  11. Oh nice, good for you. I hope your recovery goes smoothly. Your physical therapist is going to be your greatest asset. Try to choose a PT familiar with winter sports if you have one available. Make sure you outline your goals in the beginning so everyone is on the same page. You can even take in your carving setup and show the therapist some videos so they can become familiar with the mechanics. Don't be afraid to change therapists if you don't like the situation. Don't stop going until you are "graduated" from the program and even then if insurance will pay for some more then keep going. Use Tylenol for pain control. Some studies have shown NSAIDS like Ibuprofen or Aleve will inhibit healing so stay away from them for 6 weeks or so. Take some pain meds before PT if it is bothering you. That way you will have less holding you back. Stay frequent with your range of motion exercises. Ask lots of questions and don't try to get ahead of yourself. Good communication with your PT and ortho are key. Good luck!
  12. I use $15 dollar Chinese goggles off amazon to off-road with since I need four pairs and they get abused pretty hard. They work just as well as any except they emit a strong chemical odor from the foam padding for a few days after I open them. It goes away but makes me a little wary of putting them against my face.
  13. Ok awesome. Paul did you shoot me a Facebook friend request not too long ago? We will definitely be in touch. I hope whatever ails you sorts itself out. Andre are you still going to be able to make it up during the week? I hear the crowds at BC aren't THAT bad on the weekends but I still prefer to work weekends if I can. Looking forward to it!
  14. Just feeling out the crowd here. I plan on getting 90% of my days at BC this season. Never ridden there before. I'm usually good for about 3 days a week usually on weekdays with the occasional weekend. I would definitely like to meet up with someone to learn the ins and outs of the area. What is everyone else's situation?
  15. Lol. I can assure you the sxs is going nowhere. I sold my proper dirt bike to clear out toy space for it. My current bike is a slow as snot dual sport that we use as an errand runner when we take our camper van out. Do you ride? I'm still trying to figure out whose palms I need to grease to let me rip the RZR around the gypsum track a time or two
  16. In order to fit both my side by side and my motorcycle on the same trailer I had to get a 14ft instead of a 10ft. I keep it in my garage so now it looks like I will have to take two extra steps to get to my tuning bench for the rest of my life. I usually get wary of bigger things going awry when life gets this comfy. Last time it felt this easy my dog got terminal cancer.
  17. Everything about this is very........odd. It transforms something exciting into something dull and melancholic. To each their own though it's not like I'm Roger Ebert or anything.
  18. So I can wear my cool new hat without being a poser.
  19. Yes. Just got my table put together in our new garage. My wife and I aren't super good but we love to play! Our town has a lot of public pickleball courts so we are interested in giving that a try too.
  20. I'm almost certain they are showing up in USD for me. It used to show in CAD but I think they fixed that. If you are in Canada buy from yyz. If you are in USA support Donek. Edit: I'm wrong. My order from 2017 was converted from Canada dollars to Usa dollars by the credit card company.
  21. I have less total foot movement with intuitions. I use the alpine. Definitely not nearly as comfortable as the deeluxe or Palau offerings. They definitely seem more performance oriented.
