  1. Skis? I have some if you want to give them a whirl.
  2. I need these. Are those mock ups for the Large shims? Would you be interested in doing the mediums?
  3. Sounds exactly like something a Patriots fan would say. Jags didn't play a perfect game but the Pats definitely had more than one penalty that whole game. As impressive as their dynasty has been, a lot of the fun has been taken out for the casual fan when one team sneaks away with it all more often than not. Just like Alabama and CFB. What was this thread about again? side edit: the Jags coaches must not have watched the game film from last years super bowl. Running it up the middle on first down the entire second half isn't the best way to beat the Pats when you're up. I specially when that worked the first half and Patricia adjusts. Not saying the Jags deserved the win but there were some dubious calls, and it's getting old.
  4. Yeah he definitely enjoys preferential treatment......just like the Patriots last night ?
  5. This thread reeks of r/thatHappened ? https://www.reddit.com/r/thatHappened/
  6. Check my review I just wrote in the Hardboots section. In short, if you have your deeluxes dialed in and they fit/perform well then I would not change brands. I personally preferred the way my track 700s rode and it took me about 10-15 days to get the upzs dialed (I also have a tinkering problem). I changed due to fit issues. To answer the main thread question-I use f2 intec titanium and I had to change lifts on front and back. I went from the two cants stacked together to the big f2 lift up front. In the rear I had the big f2 lift AND the two stacked cants and when I switched I just took out the stacked cants. I also have some canting but I did not have to change that.
  7. I thought this was going to be about the big chrome testicles that people hang from the back of their vehicle, but I guess those are "truck nuts"
  8. I just want to go out and have fun, but what really gets my fire burning is tight high-G turns. As many as possible. Never stop turning. Park and powder is fun, but the sensation of ripping through a tight arc is like a drug for me. G-force is my little blue pill.
  9. I made the switch from Track 700s this season to RC 10s with the black tongue and intuition power wraps. I have mixed feelings on them but mostly positive. The good: Heel lift is completely nonexistent compared to the deeluxes. My feet feel completely locked in and comfortable which is probably the most important thing I need in a boot. My heel never fit right in the 700s and contour of the UPZs are much closer to my narrow heel and very wide forefoot. I still want to get the forefoot punched a bit. The bad: I think the recessed heel is ridiculous. It makes them difficult to center in bindings properly and frankly kinda dangerous to walk around in. I feel like a pretty ballerina walking around on my tippy toes. The internal ramp is excessive so I had to add some toe lift to my front and take some heel lift off the back to balance. I dont like the flex pattern fore/aft or laterally as much as the deeluxes. I don't care for the hard toe pads. The hard pads are slippery and don't flex as much in the binding (which I guess some people might like). I think the quality is about the same as deeluxe. So as much as I don't like about the UPZs, the seated and secured heel trumps all the negatives. If the internal structure of the 700s were closer to my foot, I would hands down still ride those.
  10. Sherlock up there is right. You need to post a video of your riding and setup to get some proper advice. If you can't find a filmer just offer some kid some candy to take a few quick clips. Also attend a session. Judging from your previous posts your conditioning is a weak point. Get in the gym and train eccentric leg exercises. Google is your friend. This isn't a sport for the weak legged or willed. Improper lift and cant could also be zapping your quads prematurely. Post some pictures of your board and bindings please. Not to sounds like a jerk but next time maybe put some substance and information in your initial post so people here can give you the feedback you need. This post makes it seem like you needed company on the pity train.
  11. Sounds like you answered your own question. You are too relaxed on moderate terrain. A good knee drive isn't something that happens automatically as the terrain gets steeper (afaik). A little outward cant might help it feel more natural but it will cost you some lift.
  12. Here's your problem. A hard boot setup is by no means limited by terrain or conditions. However it sounds like you are still at the point where you are most comfortable on easy groomers. I would start posting on the PNW ride board to find someone to take a few laps with. Your view of hard booting as a "loner" and "narcissistic" sport is a little closed minded. At the end of the day it is a stiff snowboard that excels at carving. If I showed up to the hill and told my crew we were riding groomers all day I would get laughed at and left. I don't mean to offend, but work on your craft and realize the potential before forming these prejudices.
  13. Smile more and complete turns across the fall line? Not everyone needs to be on the same equipment to have a good time together. Besides our weekly carving get-together I usually ride with park rats, solo, or wth my skiing wife. You might have to expand your horizons if you want to ride in a group because not everyone wants to lap groomers all day.
  14. Thank you for reviving quality content and discussion instead of the "what shade of pink should I paint my nails" stuff lately.
  15. MK is too short and demanding for prolonged riding out west imo. Get the 170 proteus if you want a super fun engaging ripper for bigger hills.
  16. Ain't scurda no snowsnakes, but seen snowsharks long as a bus and bigga round as momma
  17. With bails, yes. With stepins, no. For apres I use the model lordmetroland suggests.
  18. Tomahawk- flying head over heels repeatedly Shark attack- getting taken out by something unseen on a powder day
