  1. Corey what degree Bomber cant (lift) ring are you running on your rear foot ? You doing any cant ring rotation to get that inward or outward canting were talking about??
  2. Give us the specs!! The curious want to know........and test ride it if ya make out to Tahoe!
  3. Yeah Carvin....that's what I thought!
  4. Uh........ My rear knee isn't driving towards the heelside turn....it's pointing more away from the turn, by a couple of inches if I get too relaxed. On steeper terrain, black runs my knees are always pointing toward the trajectory
  5. Curious more than anything........This doesn't happen on steeper terrain but on Blue runs my rear knee is falling behind my heel side turns and wondering how would you add cant to a TD3 SW SI? I already have a Bomber 6 degree "cant" disk for heel lift in there. Seems like they should be called Lift Disks instead of Cant disks ?? What would happen if you rotated the 6 degree disk marking from behind the heel to the outside of the binding?? You still be getting possibly 3 degree lift along with the inward canting ?? You would lose some lift and that's way more canting than I would ever want, but what say ye Sages??
  6. I feel your struggle Sculler.. I agree it would be great to ride with somebody to get some feedback and socialize, but it's a rare day I see another hardbooter out here also. I can count them on one hand for all of last season......but the need for speed keeps me going back solo to refine my skills. As for your quads giving out in two hours...........I would attribute some of that to early season leg muscles adapting to new loads and stresses.......but a big factor in that could also be your board. I rode multiple Virus boards for a number of seasons and loved them all but found them too stiff for my 61 year old quads as my Quads would only last 2-3 hours of hard charging. Switching to a Swoard Dual really increased my fun factor and daily riding time easily tripled before i was shot. Also finding Moss boards which I use for fun and work has really opened my eyes as how relaxed riding can be with their surfy shapes.....check them out at: mosssnowstick.com Evo online is carrying a few Moss models but Tahoe Sports Hub here In Truckee has their full lineup to buy or demo!
  7. Hey Eboot ....... the Okemo shop also has Bomber bindings...one of the few places in the US with standard TD3's!!!! Call 802-228-1548 and ask for Dirk, the manager I believe..... Go with the modern boots/board/bindings and you won't believe the difference! I had the Raichle 125's and unless your 125lbs they won't cut it for typical New England (icy) conditions...but they could be great for pow! ........and welcome back!
  8. Hello Coma Pedrosa, you have a curious relation to the Andorra peak I have climbed ?? I'm curious as to what's not happening for ya on your Coiler Stubby V2 172 ?? Bruce extols it's virtues as a really fun and lively board. The MK has never interested me, but since I ride a Swoard Extreme Carver that has a lot of pop, the Proteus with it's reputation for pop ( but too narrow for my taste) is intriguing....but the guys I see riding a Proteus are putting a lot of energy input/pressure...read: commitment into the turn to get the most out of it...ie: that pop. If you don't want that physical and mental commitment to get that turny, lively ride why not a Coiler Angrry? Check out Gabes video on a 170 Angrry....Gabe makes it looks like you just hop on...and Hang On!, for a very Turny and Lively ride... http://forums.bomberonline.com/topic/45494-coiler-angrry-170/ Not sure where you live, your location says Boston but I think you mention you have moved west?......I live and work at Squaw in Tahoe so when your heading out this way let me know and let's ride and I will hook ya up with some Moss boards that are turny and lively in a surfy style that will blow your mind! Oh, and I'm probably older than you.......
  9. Yeah.........I also run mixed springs/colors - red longer with a blue shorter spring on my Track 700's with my Swoard EC......but all blue springs on Track 425's with my Moss PQ60 But I still had to grind down the lower springs on both boot (435 and 700's) setups to get to my "comfort" zone and have had no problems There is so much micro tuning for Alpine riding before your ever riding! ! On my boards I'm trying to keep track of angles, stance width, 3 F toe and 6 R heel lift, Gilmour bias, boot flex, boot rigidity,...now add BTS Man......any of those could be a really useful workshop at the non official ATC!! I got my BTS working where I like it....but have no idea if it's ...correct! ......or how much more I could or should adjust it, and to what effect that adjustment would have on my carving!
  10. Hmh! Somebody needs to tell those Egyptians their stance width is so "Old School" narrow! ......and that they need some heel and toe lift!!! Uh...unless they ride EC.
  11. Would have to agree..... nice people, professional and very efficient in getting my order out............
  12. In this video Big Mtn. destroyer and Tahoe local Jeremy Jones comes back to his roots of what it's really all about, "The Glide" - very cool! I would call it "The Carve" !!
  13. Hey Wes Taking a better look...I wouldn't call it binding suck...more like top sheet binding shadow. Can't really even get a photo of it...... you can't feel it but you can see partial (toeside ) outline of old Ibex binding placements As for the base, I can still scrape (old) wax off the base.....that striated hippy dippy base color makes it hard to tell!! How about splitting the shipping with me?............it's freaking light and can't be too much to Big Mtn. Give me your zip and I'll get it weighed tomorrow. FYI: Yellow is the lightest and fastest color!! Yeah, I was passing thru on business and spent the morning at the Fish. Seemed like a great local Mtn. for what little time I was there. I remember kind of sloppy spring conditions down low and ice fog up top ?? So I stayed down low and was done early when it turned to slush.
  14. Hey Snowjob, I totally agree with Rob on this one...... and I ride in Tahoe on hero snow! Well even here it can get scraped off to glare ice, which is what's starting to happen since we haven't had any new snow for 10? days. It's cold enough at night for the Mtns. to blow snow but they got to spread that out and then the masses scrape the rest off..............anyway, my point is I used every mm of my 2/1 tuned Swoard Extremecarver edges this weekend at Squaw and Northstar...........so don't detune nothing and get out there and ride it like you stole it!
  15. 1999 Burton FP 6.4 Hardly seen any use. Base and edges are perfect. No sidewall dents or scratches. Noseguard is perfect. A couple of topsheet nicks (shown) on the nose and some vague plate binding shadow on the topsheet.
  16. Ha Rob! You say it like you been there done that...as to BP!
  17. Thanks for all the input and votes! Yeah....I was expecting the sexy Blue and White model, and Moss sent the shop an additional board as a Demo..which we thought would be an additional Blue and White....so it was a total surprise I wasn't ready for to see the Sunrise model. I'm a linear guy.....so it's been hard for me to decide, but looks like you guys are 3 to 1 for the Sunrise! I plan to take one of them out to Demo this weekend and we will see!
  18. Ha! Love the comments! Make sure you cast your vote also!!
  19. I just found out I have a choice of these two topsheets!....and I can't decide!! What do you guys say??
  20. I'm with Bobby Buggs on this......rethinking - especially after having a brain fart on the chair at Boreal and absentmindedly jettisoned my board trying to adjust the release handle of my Fintec's through my pants! (I now have had slits/slots? sewn into my ski pants for the handle to poke through....and no, it's has never gotten caught on anything and released.....even when Eurocarving) Thank God my board landed upside down and didn't kill anybody and in the pow so the board was unscathed.......only my ego was hurt when the Liftie looked on in amazement as I walked off the chair and nonchalantly started walking back down the lift line and then had to swim through waist deep pow for 30-40ft .....which took me 20 exhausting minutes....ugh! A Leash would have avoided all that...................
  21. I go with Corey's method of smacking my Fintec heels against my (TD3 stepin) heel receivers, typically while riding the lift.....but it does mar up the Fintec metal surface and I usually have to take a file to them once a season to get the burs smoothed out.
  22. Hmm! What weight range was this made for??
  23. Just so Happy I gotta reply again!! Bomber forums being back online is............
