  1. Boy!....... I wish time on snow was all the was needed! .....but my 100+ days a season on the hill sure disproves that for me......but in this niche sport I rarely see any hardbooters at my hills, much less any to ride with and learn from.......so I'm also stuck with my bad skills that are holding me back!
  2. Hey Tom.......looks like a fun board! What is the sidecut radius?? Also...... Great video! What ya using for a selfie stick with your GoPro there? Also what editing software to add the titles into the video??
  3. Thanks for all the info guys! I can't decide......so my current thinking is...... I'm Gonna Buy Both! Really like my Swoard Gen 4, and need to replace it anyway, so I'm going with the pop (and price) of the Sword Gen 5 EC 175 M flex ......... AND Bruce's Special Sauce EC 177 ....it's just too tantalizing to pass up !!!
  4. Hey Crack, Nope.....not giving up, just on hold until I can find.... or create a better system for what I do!
  5. Technik, Funny you'd wish for a Bruce EC. 175 23 waist, 14-16SC!! Bruce has a left over "mystery" EC 177 board,( one of his older designs, before he went more decamber) 177 EC 23 waist 14-18 SC with titanal. Were talking it's original order weight range now.!............ could be Interesting!!! Definitely Unique!
  6. John E......yeah I vote smaller so we can stickerize it on our boards!!
  7. Hey West Thanks for the offer..........but they were ridiculously hard to acquire and I'm keeping them! Secretly hoping next years Step On system will be the One!!
  8. True that BlueB.......just hadn't seen Nils post/reply in a long time ??
  9. Hey Arnaud. Would love the Pro but I thought the Pro doesn't have the Pop of the Extreme Carver?
  10. Hey Lurch...the AP67 is a 20 waist and a totally different rad tool/ride........ Hey Maxlanaudiere......do you have a Sworad Pro? Been thinking Pro model, but Is there as much Pop as the Extreme Carver?? Hey Quebec man....... I was 1st on the list to offer to test ride a Bulat from some guy offering loaners to test...........but never heard back form guy repping them....... Would have to see it and ride it to believe it....especially for the price......seems to good to be true! Nils ...... Nils from Swoard? If so, Great to see you on here!
  11. Anybody ridden both and got an opinion either way?? I love the pop in my 23 waist Gen. 4 Swoard Extreme Carver 175 Medium flex......but a second Grind is due and I think it's time to replace it.........and am Super Itchy for another 22/23 waist board that loves to EC, but can still carve it up Pureboarding style! What to do, what to do! Coiler EC, or Swoard Gen 5 EC. OR!...... what about keeping my Swoard and getting something different like a Proteus or Stubby V2!! Decisions, Decisions!
  12. Ok, I promise...this is my last post hijacking Sculler's thread! I'm setting up a comparison back in Carving Central.............let's take the discussion over there. ....and Lurch, I'd take a Stubby V2 over an Angry..........just saying. I'm Gone ~
  13. Sorry for highjacking your thread Sculler and thanks for that info Corey .................. I'm burning with desire for another 23 waist board and the choices are killing me, Stubby V2 or Coiler EC or Proteus or another Swoard........uh the agony of decision!
  14. Corey - this Interesting thread brings up this question - How would you compare the Swoard Extreme Carver 175 to Bruce's EC 175 ?? ...and how did you finally decide on Bruce's model?? Curious Minds Want To Know!
  15. I'll pass..it's to narrow and I'm 75lbs. too fat for it!
  16. Corey that's quite the testimony! 23 waist is my aphrodisiac !! Sculler I'll take it if weight range doesn't work for Alpine1 and works for me........Pm'd ya
  17. Not to jack your thread Sculler, but people looking at this board might be in the know..............how's the Pop on this board as compared to Sean's Proteus or a Swoard Extreme Carver?? Probably to narrow for me anyway !!
  18. Jim your gonna have to put a Rev limiter on that MK!! So glad you didn't crack anything but I'd think about replacing that helmet as That's probably what saved your face and teeth! ....and if you got ear ringing the helmet definitely took the beating!! Might also want to see your PCP ..............and get a Doctors note for a couple days rest! Take er easy there buddy and feel better!
  19. Scottishsurfer thanks for posting the video! - that "wiggle" is pretty disconcerting I would agree Matthew.....more like a Huge amount of slop and play going on! Looking at that video , all I see is, that's a lot of wasted energy/control/performance ...lost. I had my 3rd day on the Step On's today in 6 inches of heavy pow and I'd say some of that "wiggle" worked well in the pow....in the sense of being a forgiving ride...........but again, not as good a feel or performance in the pow as with my TD3 SW SI's and Track 325's Overall I found the Step On's an even more fun setup in the pow than on the groom, imo......but alas, I'm not going to give up performance just for the convenience of softboots......so it was another futile attempt at softboot carving and I don't plan on keeping them!
  20. Wow! Sculler you went all in with the purchase of a Euro Carve board! Cool Topsheet!! What weight did Bruce build it for? Did you find it too stiff?...really wore on your thighs after a hour?? What's the waist?
  21. I'm like Corey.....can I pick the first 3! but I'm the 1st option + POW in hardboots + talking Carving!
  22. My opinion, in a nutsheel/from my experience......I think it will be a hard sell for Hardbooters to transition to the softbooting route if you expect the same performance........you just give up too much performance. At least with the current offerings. ......but Step On's are a game changer for sofbooters wanting more performance!
  23. Very cool John! If we get a vote I'd say the 1st version is my choice! Any chance Stickers are possible! That's a sticker for my board I'd Pay for!!
  24. Hey ComaD I personally found Gilmour (oh God , here we go again!) bias a real game changer for me and my Track 700's and the wider boards (22-23.5 waist's) I ride and still use it. What? Did I miss something? Are the Sages saying _ _ _ _ _ _ _ bias is too old school and to ditch it for conventional "centered" wisdom ?? As for your race tune...............who did the tune? somebody in the bay area? I went thru Three supposedly "Experienced Alpine Board Tuners" up here in Tahoe of all places that made things Worse before I found a legit Alpine tuner!
  25. Well I still plan to be there for the first or last 3 days but will pull the plug if Aspen doesn't get a dumping.........don't need to travel to be frustrated....I can do that here! Man! Somethings gotta give with this weather..aka: lack of winter here in N. Cali also! It's Jan. for crying out loud and it's still rock board season!! My boards are spending more time at the tuners for core shots and rock rash than on the hill! I got a new Moss AP67 I desperately want to let run but No Way until we get enough coverage that I don't cringe looking down the slope at the rocks, sticks and rubble .......but the Sirens are calling to me and I Go!! ...as my board is screaming, Oh no, No, NO!
