  1. I also have had a couple of "Too" Close Calls carving, literally fabric brushing fabric close! Both times somebody thought they could cut the corner on me and then surprised when I swing back their way much faster than they imagined! ....and this is on a wide trail with plenty of room but their straightening the middle of the run! When I catch em in the lift line they were fortunately apologetic and bug eyed with fear that they almost Died! I still take a pic of them and their board and tell them it's getting reported! Softbootsurfer.....here in Tahoe finding any ski patrol right at the lift is usually impossible ...how do you get the perps to sit there and wait for you to find Ski Patrol??? "found the (ski) patrol to.........."
  2. Uh.... where? lowriders post? That just loops back to this thread....at least thats all I see.
  3. Wow Corey! That was a Close Call!! ....and at the speeds all parties were going there would undoubtedly have been blunt trauma implosion if impact had occurred!! Glad to here you and your board survived another one!
  4. Man! Eight years! That's a long dry spell between Gold medal runs! Last Gold was Vancouver Olympics 2010 JJ must be, what? 42 years old?? - Now that makes it even more impressive!! Somebody post the event or his Gold medal run. He just beats out my Man, Nevin Galmarini..............but where's Vic Wild??
  5. Ha! It could of been! You mean Neon is out of fashion? Surely you jest!
  6. Chris Karol - Don't Pat The Dog 1986(?) Sorry, couldn't help myself! Never had the Alpina boots but did have that Gnu Race board he's riding! ......and this video!!
  7. This is so Good I gotta post it again here! 2014 Olympic Silver Medalist Nevin Galmarini Is Tha Man and Boils Slalom Down to the Essentials in this Video! AND If you don't remember in the Sochi Olympics Quarter Finals he got thrown out of his line and should have crashed but instead of giving up he rode SWITCH! (on a Slalom Board! at Mach I !!) through the next gate, Recovered and still Won! That's So Badd Ass!! He's is so smoove! His words and these images make a lot of sense to me. FYI at .10 you can see he's riding a modified Bomber BTS!
  8. Hey Eboot or Eric. What resort were you guys at for this lesson??
  9. Sorry.............meant to say - "Geckos work best with a standard binding"
  10. Acoustic. - be forewarned the added damping of Geckos plus the damping in the SW's will dramaticaly decrease any input from the rider! aka: the board will not know what you want it to do! Additionally with the Geckos and SW's added height together will Significantly Increase the LEVER action .....I mean it will throw you to the ground!
  11. My .02. Geckos don't work best with a "standard" binding. Does Not play well with a binding that already dampens the ride - aka: Sidewidners for example.......and watch your binding stack/height...a lot of people use a thinner E-ring to decrease the "Lever" action. Hmm.....Geckos might provide More performance than Bomber power plates with my Burton Step On project

  13. Wow! Would love a lesson but my mind and body could only focus/concentrate on 1/10 of that curriculum and remember even less! Impressive there, Eboot! Congrats there, Coach!!
  14. Hey Bumpy Thanks for posting. Man! That's a long reach! .....and makes my shoulder hurt just looking at your photos!! I'm sure you have it down to an art weaving your ripcord through your pants and upper layers but seems like a lot of trouble.....but glad it works for you. Be careful, repetitions of that movement can add unnecessary wear and tear to that shoulder joint and over develop that side of your body. My solution was to have the local gear tech cut holes in my pants legs and stitch reinforcement so my Fintec handle pops out through my pants.....never had any problem with it releasing unintentionally...even EC'ing Easy to grab even with gloves on.
  15. Anybody got a Sidewinder Step In Upper Kit??
  16. Skimoose - Yep, I'm young enough to remember having to show proficiency to get "Badged" ...and then, and then you got the luxury of being banished to one trail or one lift..... on the far side of the resort! Still got some of those "Badges" somewhere....we need to do a Flashback Friday thread and post some of those up for the non believers!!
  17. Would consider trade for TD3 SW SI's............
  18. Would consider trades towards TD3 SW SI's...........
  19. A set of Power plates with 0 and 3 degree cant disks + yellow E-rings and all hardware included - Will Not Separate - $250 + shipping Yes, I know how much they would cost if Bomber store was up and running and they were in stock.....But It's Not and they were never in stock the two times I ordered a set. I paid a ridiculous amount for these and I'm just trying to recoup part of my losses. Paypal Only.
  20. This set of Gecko's comes with two sets of bumpers, yellow and red. Also included is a second set of Apex insets. Only used for two runs (they don't work well with TD3 SW's!) by me and barely used by the previous owner. A solid 9+ If you've been looking for a set of these you know they run $520US new from Apex + an additional set of bumpers runs $70 and no idea what extra inserts run? http://www.apexsnowboard.com/gecko-plate-carve.html Paypal Only
  21. Hey JB I know it's been brought up in a thread before....did you do a search? In your test did you try locking the rear with some forward lean and leaving the front boot in walk mode?? I'm using BTS with blue springs on my Moss PQ60 for pow and carving and I've had the same thought/question about just using walk on front boot and lock mode on rear boot with my Deeluxe Track 325's I think one of the concerns is that the spring/resistance in walk mode can so easily be compressed it's like just going lock to lock and not giving any push back................but depending on what your riding and how you want to ride ....it could work.
  22. for Plates on a Pow board! Running TD3 SW SI's on my Moss PQ60......but I get more questions about the board, thank God!
