  1. Thanks Dan.............. I already called...they order as needed ......from Bomber..so no go - Ugh!
  2. Just talking to Russ at YYZ, (in looking for Bomber Power Plates) he only has TD3 standard....no SI
  3. Interested........How many are you willing to stuff in there and what's the cost?
  4. Getting desperate for some Power Plate bindings.......do you guys know of any other shops besides YYZ that carried Bomber??
  5. blue-tomato.com All models available with choice of moldable liners or standard. I prefer standard liner which is main reason why I ordered from them......Bomber only sold models with moldable liner
  6. Got an email my Burton Step On boot/binding system has been shipped! Now all I need to complete the trifecta is a set of Bomber Power Plate bindings. Anybody?
  7. Ditto! Erazz I second the nomination! I'm sure all the haters are going to burn me on the stake, but can we get back to our regularly scheduled broadcast here of relevant news, legitimate concern and possible solutions................or lock it out! #2tiredofseeingthisthread All in favor say aye!
  8. Great idea Partisan! Pre Season - Trying to not get hurt before season starts is high on my list currently! - Add compound exercise routine to my daily road biking and 3x weekly weight training - to hopefully help in avoiding getting hurt during season! In Season - Stay low(er) and Go Fast(er)! - Get some video footage for the Bomber Sages to help in refining my efforts at EC - Aiming for a season of 120+ days on the hill - - Give Burton "Step On" system a fair amount of time to evaluate it's performance - Try Apex Geckos on my Swoard and Moss boards - Make it to unofficial TTC and or June Mtn. Carvers Classic - Make it to my 62 birthday!
  9. I feel for you guys that may be out money for Bomber gear ordered, I think I can relate as my last employer went bankrupt and I was out a whole months salary...now that impacted my daily life and financial existence! .....but Jim and Angie didn't plan on absconding with your $300/$400/$500 of money, nor did they plan on a lawsuit and bankruptcy. I don't mean to diminish the money your out, but after what I went through I think I can honestly say, guys, it is just gear and pennies (that hopefully doesn't impact your daily life and financial existence!) compared to the financial $ numbers/crisis Jim and Angie must be dealing with! As a community let's rally and send Jim and Angie / Bomber some support...I don't know what can be said or done that has any real impact, but were family and family sticks together!...........I'm sending them a PM wishing them the best in these trying circumstances and offering any assistance to support a hopeful positive future for Bomber! Who's In????
  10. I would never have posted this previously, out of respect to Fin/Jim ..... but these are different times.......... I get my Deluxe boots from blue-tomato.com . it's cheaper .......even with International shipping.
  11. Wow! I wish the best for Jim and Angie with this ordeal!........ This surely isn't going to end well......which could unfortunately impact all of us! Yikes!! Mod's what can we do to keep the Bomber forum's up and running???
  12. Love the pop and snap you get out of that Coiler Angrry 170, seems like your riding it like Bruce designed it: "High maneuverability" "With a substantially more variable sidecut, this board offers a very engaging ride as weight distribution can quickly alter turn shape. If you’ve got short, narrow, or not-very-steep runs, this board lets you make much more turns at a lower speed and still have a blast. A real go-kart on snow!" Show us what else it can do..................
  13. Hey Dr. S, Thanks for bringing us back to our regularly scheduled program!....and glad to see I'm not the only one who (pre)ordered the Step-On system!.....and with living at Squaw I should be on the Mtn. with them after they arrive in Nov.!.............and yep, I'm in the 60+ club, well I guess maybe 60- club as I just turned 61! Well at least I get a unrestricted season pass at Boreal Mtn. resort on top of Donner Summit for only $129 for making it to 60!
  14. Hans Love your set up! I had the Virus FLP AFT and LOVED it.....but I found the carbon top sheet to be very very prone/susceptible to scratches and dings........obviously doesn't effect performance but that's a pricey board and Any scratch is just a a heartbreaker! Mine got scratched every time I took it out! Yes, mostly in the lift line! I would highly recommend a 3m protective top sheet to protect your beautiful investment. Here's what I use now on every new board- http://www.ebay.com/itm/3M-Scotchgard-PRO-Series-Paint-Protection-Film-Clear-Bra-12-x-72-Sheet-/142322569722?hash=item21231611fa:g:thUAAOSwstJZUv5Y This was a 12 x 72 inch roll if I remember correctly but here is the specific item #( 142272996442 ) .....and here's the link on how to use the 3m protective film-
  15. Me..............and let's get a unofficial TTC and/or June Mtn. Carvers Classic going in March also!!!!
  16. Bump for Price Drop!! - Let's get these things moving, I got some new boards to pay for!
  17. Last years Moss Snowstick Performance Quad 60, retailed for $1155 I used it for 15-20 days in pow and spring mush Top sheet solid 9, base 9 Only selling because I want this years model with the more vivid top sheet. Tuned and waxed $600 + shipping LENGTH: 1600 R.LENGTH: 791 EF.EDGE: 1210 SIDECUT: 10000/9000 NOSE/TAIL: 302/289 WAIST: 258 STANCE WIDTH: 520 (480-600) SET BACK: -5.5 SOLD The 2017 Gen 5 Swoard ExtremeCarver 175 Hard flex, Retail is $762US, I spent $833 for it with shipping last March. I covered it in a 3M protective film, (which you can remove) so top sheet is still immaculate and base is 9+ Swoard says ideal weight range is 190lbs - 220lbs. I used it maybe for two-three groomer days. 10-20 runs? Reason for selling - I have a Gen 4 (2015?) Swoard Extremecarver 175 Medium flex which I love and a Swoard 168 Dual which I loved, but the Swoard guys had been after me to get on (the supposed correct) "Hard" flex for my 225lbs. weight, so I did..... and I think it's Too stiff for my taste. Tuned and waxed $600 + shipping Length 175cm Width 23.1cm Sidecut Radius 13.3
  18. Snowjob I'm so jealous! 4 New Donek boards! You Guys Are Killing Me! ......but what a great way to get jacked for the season, keep em coming!! Hmm....Maybe I should contact Sean about building a Swoard Extreme Carver Slayer - aka Proteus, "The Mutant" a 178cm length, 23cm waist Euro Carving beast with the Super Secret Sauce of compressed cells of Helium for "Houston We Have liftoff" Pop! ! ! Ha!
  19. Hey QM, So this was a custom build from Shaun? A standard FC Metal 175 is 20cm at the waist............you ordered a 21cm waist? How many days on the hill does this board have??
  20. Hey Guys.......................................... Egh!....I tried the Flow NXT's last year with Burton Driver X's .....the boots were great on and off the Mtn. but I thought the Flow bindings were difficult to operate with reaching that heel lever to lock the boot in or out....and I just couldn't get used to the response/feel?...or lack of feel of the bindings. We will see if the Burton Step-On's are any different ............ stay tuned! As for driving in softboots, I asked and the CHP (nor my school) makes any differentiation as to driving in softboots.......it's just a Boot in their opinion. fwiw - On a pow day and on personal time I drive a stick in my Deluxe Track 700's no problem! ......but I live less than a mile form the lift! So driving in softboots is an experience in comfort and convenience.
  21. I have not seen them in real life yet.....just lots of youtube reviews and the Burton shop at Northstar says they are gonna carry the full line of Step -On Photon boots and of course Step On binding. Here's one of the better reviews imo, even with the English sub titles ...and he's riding last years version of my board!, Moss PQ60 Seems like the perfect setup for to my situation. I'm up at Squaw most every afternoon M-F with students riding my Moss PQ60 in Deluxe 325's on TDs SW SI's - it's been a perfect slush, groom and pow setup!....but school rules say I can't drive students in a school van to the Mtn. in my hardboots, so it's a rush to switch into them in the parking lot then walk through the parking lot and then through the village to get to the Funitel before buckling up....... not a problem, but 5 days a week walking through the parking lot and the village is wearing down my heels and it's cumbersome and sketchy depending on the conditions and how rushed I am......have not fallen yet, but it's been really close a couple of times each season! Switching to Burton Step-Ons will be so much more convenient.......just put them on before I head out to the van...and leave them on, walk normally.....and hopefully the Step - On will be just as responsive on the Moss! We will see..... No, I'm not going To The Darkside, I'll keep my TD3 SW Si's for laying down the carves on the weekend on my Swoard boards! Anybody Else Gonna Switch One Of Their Boards Over To Burton Step-Ons??
  22. NIce one West!......two of those riders were on Moss Snowsticks............PQ60 and a Swallowtail it looks looks like. Here's another rider on this winters Moss PQ60 - I love the loud top sheet! My PQ60 is more of a greenish mauve It must be some resort in Japan and is it dumping......... and Man, he is Hauling and Carving! .....so impressive, especially in softboots! Can't seem to embed the video, but here is the link - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WokH_qII1Hg
  23. Wow! Really generous of ya to offer a test ride your Kessler's Colin.... I'm at Squaw most every week day afternoons for work so I'll definitely PM ya for sure! I'm up at Boreal and Northstar on the weekends if ya ride there any - - Let me know and Think Snow!
  24. Hey RJ, Shucks!........wish they would fit my 28.5's, I'd give them a go! Free Bump for ya though............
