  4. A 22cm board is slower to transition than a 19-20cm and will get bounced around more. Just have to get use to the board. Although when it gets choppy/skied out I switch from a 23 to a 20 waist to cut though the chop.
  5. I have a set of Blax X1 24.5 Like new been worn around house $60 plus shipping
  6. What's your paypal? for the Boiler pate bases.    Charles Russell  2601 Hillway dr Boise ID 83702    Thanks  Charlie

  7. Don't worry about canting if it feels ok I run 0 front 6 back. Read somewhere on here a start for Stance was something like .65 x inseam. You look static, even on easy greens you can practice weight/unweight As you start your turn put pressure on the front of your boots by sinking your hips and driving your shins to your boots, the harder you drive the more/faster the board should turn. in the middle to 3/4 of the turn you should start to unweight, (standing back up from the crouching, I'll move at least 6" on a green and a foot on blues to drive quicker turns) The faster you stand up the more unweighing, that's when you change edges and start sinking again. On older camber boards you could catch air in between turns. Go out make some C turns, J turns and fall so you fine out how to scrub speed and where you should have unweigthed to start a new turn. But remember have Fun.
  8. Didn't take time for pic's, In the snow couldn't tell who was on what until they came out a the bottom. 188 Rossi UnderTaker with plates, probably won't see enough snow to run it for another year.
  9. He found almost the tightest tress on the hill just to scare off those who think they want to learn to ski trees. First time I haven't been able to track out a mountain days after a storm. The lifties said we did a good job but didn't hit most of their stashes. Oh ya NEVER Trust a carver on a powder gun to show you the trees when your on a 18mm wide board. Just go mach 2 to start it to float and they are just baby trees(10" dia.)
  10. At Montucky they trim their tress 30' up and place them 30 feet apart so there were no tree wells. Or you just stayed on the runs. When you fell you did wallow and swim to get back up. Picture is at 2pm Wednesday
  11. I try to get there at least once a year. Grand Foggy In the clouds a lot, but good carving off Blackfoot ( floyds, Williamson, Arrowhead) and Dreamcatcher ( Wild willie,Crazy horse,Wandering moose). Watch out for Rock garden it get wind blown and always has rocks somewhere. Only time it's crowded is on a powder day, then most leave by 12. I take a neon pullover to wear (seem to glow in the fog) on foggy days so my wife can see were to go. If It all the sudden disappears she stops to find out what I fell off. Take a look at their webcams
  12. Not sure of the year about 10ish  Shipping would be $54.70

  13. Get a sl board for tight trees/moguls. I use a a 99 Burton Alp asym for tight trees and moguls. It's good up to a foot of pow. Haven't found a quicker turning board yet, use a Coiler VSR for my all mountain look into smaller radius 9ish and narrower for quicker turning, try going from a 20 waist to a 24 on a groomer
  14. Mine was beer league. We have about 35 teams top 5 on each team count one has to be female. Same teams were winning and cheery picking best people off others teams so they made top ten teams pro and the rest rec, but run NASTAR handicap for age/equipment Then awarded fastest handicap male/female skier/tele/snowboarder It took five years to get 2x4 posts for the wand that I can push off of. In other races here skier/boardercross/banked slalom/ park, age group is every five years for skiers and until twenty five then 25 and up for boarders
  15. 174 Prior 4WD glass board $175 paypal gift plus shipping 27/ 21.5/ 26.4 10.14 radius In good shape some scuffs and binding marks on top. Base has some scuffs and two scratches. about twenty day total on board, I've ridden about five times in the last five years. I got a Rossi undertaker for my powder board
  16. They don't believe you'er on a snowboard because it's not a twin tip? Ask them if they have a different category for non race skis. I was told I couldn't race because I wasn't on skis and I asked to see the rule. Then raced just to piss off the skiers by beating them. They then went with snowboard group and NASTAR handicap. I would go with the NASTAR handicaps too. When I raced with no starting post I used a set of ski poles and told bystanders to watch out as I threw the poles to the side after two poles. It knocked off more than a second
  17. Ride what's comfortable. I don't ride park, but I will ride all mountain and bumps on carvers I started 45/15 soft 24cm board (28 years ago) moved forward as boards got narrower. Now ride 68/60 on 19/20cm boards. In less than a foot of powder I ride a168 Burton ulta prime or 171 Colier VSR 20cm 68/60 1.5 feet + 168 Osin 4807 25.5cm or 185 Rossi Undertaker 25cm Only then do I drop stance to 60/56. Most people now are saying to set bindings closes to edge without overhang
  18. I have a Tecnica strap I was saving just for that reason. It's 26" long x 1" I could send it for shipping cost should be $3-5
  19. Burton cant's never had any gaskets, Have used for twenty five years never hurt top sheet too much. but did get one from that had thin rubber 1/8" (looks like from large tire tube) glued to bottom. seems to work can't tell any differences. Also had had hard plastic center made for 4bolt
  20. He might ant to look into working in repair/rentals. My son did this at The Canyons. Worked two hours in the morning, four in afternoon skied in between. Got a pass and made minimum wage. He made more an skied more than his buddy who was teaching
  21. You also say your fighting the board. Board not wanting to start /keep/finish the turn? When I get a new board I start front binding in middle set of holes(board & binding) try it (do C-turns) then move binding. Then move binding forward one set of holes on same board holes try it then move binding forward on board with binding moved back to center or rear holes, repeat this until the board starts to hook, then I back off the binding 1-2 holes. If your heel turns start to chatter go a deg or two on the rear binding. Good luck Keep us informed if anything helps
